Today my family and I had lunch and had Taylor for a server. Taylor was amazing! She checked on us just the right amount gave food recommendations and was well informed on the menu. Food is excellent, however three or four times in a row now we have been super disappointed. We have tried three times now and they had either jackpot bingo or singo going on and it was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with those who were across the table. Quality sports bar located in the far SW burbs. They have a lot of burger options, I got the STACS burger, which was quite good and big. They also have a pretty good craft beer selection, including a house ale even, which I got, it was a pretty good pale ale. I always like when restaurants have that. They have plenty of TVs to watch sports game, it seemed just about every NFL game was on, so a good place for viewing games. They have a bar section and several tables, lots of space. They also have their own shared parking lot with plenty of room. Idk how many other places are nearby, but this may be your best option in that area for sports get togethers. read more

However my companions who had the leid burger and another order of the Dublin Roundabouts weren't so impressed. They complained about the food being lukewarm. Really liked the food and atmosphere here. I had the Mike Bison which I don't totally recommend, just didn't have a ton of flavor and was a little over cooked. But I also tried the Decision is Yours, Rio Bravo, and the Pickle Me Elmo and all three were awesome. I loved the Philly Rolls and sweet potato tots as well. Beer menu did not disappoint! read more

We came here for dinner over the summer and had a really great time! It was bustling and Backroads is your lovable neighborhood burger joint. We were seated at high tops during a "Singo Night" (music bingo) and I opted in to casually play and stamped my sheet when I heard a song played that was listed. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. It was sweltering hot so we chose indoor seating. There was a mix of families with kids, date night couples, friend groups, and (very likely) the Singo regulars having a ball at the bar. I was in the mood for a buffalo chicken wrap and asked if I could have it with a plain tortilla instead of a tomato basil flavored tortilla. Our server was really nice and was able to make the adjustment. My husband ordered a Stacs burger with onion petals which came with a side of jumbo potato wedges. Our food came out pretty quickly, even during one of the busiest nights, and their servers all seemed to be friends and worked together, were kind to customers and to each other. Fantastic service and excellent food. Backgrounds is all-around a great place for a beer, burger, and bingo. We are fans! read more

I have now been here 2 times within a couple weeks of each other and I liked the food both times, but the service here is absolutely awful. The first time we had Connie and she rushed our order, was yelling at kids in the restaurant because they had a little too much excitement and while I may have thought they should settle down it's not her place to do that when the parents were already on top of it. Not to mention she isn't their parent. The second time was yesterday and we had Steph L. As our server and we got there around 5pm and it took 15 minutes to be greeted when her section only had 2 other tables who already were helped 1 eating and 1 whom needed to place an order. She didn't check on us, and made a comment under her breath when we asked for a refill. Again the food was good, but I cannot say I want to go back after 2 times of bad service. read more

We have been here a few times. And enjoyed the burgers. We decided to go back as we knew they had BOGO burgers. As they have very steep prices. The server said it's BOGO wraps and sandwiches so we did that. Got the check and it's BOGO 1/2 off. We tried the cheese curds and for $16! They should have been the best ever. These things were grease balls. I could not make it home, my stomach was turning so bad we had to make a pit stop. We will probably stay away for a little while. $18-$20 burgers too. Always great food and service here. Today they went the extra mile. We sat outside. Yes it is 1000000 degrees but the space is shaded with fans. They also have a mister down the middle. It wasn't on and someone asked for it to be turned on. At first it was lovely. Felt like it was 10 degrees cooler. Then it started to get too foggy. Couldn't see the other side of the space. It was super super muggy and uncomfortable. Within in minutes it was turned back off. I was going to say something but they recognized it right away. I'm surprised there wasn't a thunderstorm! we got fried green beans. They were brought out by the owner who took our order too since our waitress had a 30 person group that all wanted seperate checks! He also took our order since she was busy. Back to the beans. Standard Burger Bar restaurant. Service was very good but the food was just ok. The Philly Egg rolls looked and tasted more like larger Pizza Rolls. They weren't bad but I was expecting an Egg Roll texture. I got the Backyards Brisket which was good but it was drenched in sauce and the cream cheese made it so messy to eat. I found this place off of the top places to eat in the Chicago suburbs on Yelp 2023. I read online about people having to make a reservation. We didn't and we didn't have to on a Wed night. Huge parking lot. Plenty of tables available. Service could be improved, our waitress was decent. Prices are not expensive. I like the different kinds of meat you can have on your burger. -blue waterfall cocktail 5/5 a litter bit of a bitter taste -the passion punch 5/5 sweeter taste -boujee burger 5/5 - 1/2 lb of Australian wagyu patty medium rare very tasty. Melts in your mouth. -arse - i custom made it with pretzel bun, wagyu medium rare, Italian beef on top of the burger, lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, white nacho cheese, and roasted garlic aioli. Passed this place a number of times before stoping in. Checked out ahead of time online, looks great. Got there earlier on a Tuesday and it was mostly empty except for the patio on a nice day. I opted for the bar, service was fantastic. Boujee burger was awesome. Also got the cheese curds as an app, always down for fried cheese, but the first one I bit into was still cold in the middle, like near ice frozen cold. Avoided the big pieces. 70% of the basket was good, in fact they were really tasty. Just a bit surprised. All in, more than willing to go back and bring the fam. read more

I first noticed Backroads Burger while in search if sweet tea to eat at a BBQ joint in Plainfield. Fortune smiled on me again as I was back in the area and after some information form Yelp, I decided to give it a try. The place was packed on a Friday night. They have so many burgers to choose from and you can make your own. With some help from my waitress, I decided on The Yellowstone. The Yellowstone has Blueberry Chipotle BBQ sauce, a whipped cream cheese, white and yellow cheddar, fried onions, bacon, and lettuce. I ordered mine without lettuce because lettuce is a waste of space and takes away flavor from other ingredients. Please don't come after me but I also ordered mine without bacon because I'm that weird carnivore that doesn't like the texture of bacon. I had a choice of patties and I chose the Brat one. This burger was amazing but I think I would choose a different patty next time for this burger. My fries were hot and crisp. I asked for BBQ sauce on the side and it was a warm, Texas Style BBQ sauce. It was tangy and peppery. Surprise! They serve fresh-brewed sweet tea. I cannot express how much difference it makes to fresh-brew tea and add sugar during the brewing process. I think that's why sweet tea isn't popular in the Midwest because if a restaurant has sweet tea, it's either bottled like that garbage known as Pure Leaf or comes from a dispenser made by that abomination known as Gold Peak. I would order sweet tea from Backroad just because it is fresh-brewed in house. I can't wait until I get another burger from Backroad. read more

My son is a cheeseburger lover. We had time for a quick lunch one day and I turned to Yelp for recommendation. The restaurant is in a strip mall and there is plenty of parking. We were seated immediately and our server came to our table very quickly. We ordered the blastin fries as an appetizer but that was a meal by itself. They were soo good!!! Huge portion! My son got the Boujee burger and I built my own chicken sandwich. Both meals were delicious. We ordered cocktails that were equally delicious.
