I never write reviews, but our experience here was so bad that I felt like I had to. Honestly, not a single thing we ordered was good. It genuinely felt like we threw our money away by eating here. We started with the buffalo wings, which came out cold. I ordered the Margaritaville whitefish and could only manage about two bites before I gave up. It looked completely unappetizing, and the flavor reminded me of fish smothered in ketchup. I truly don't understand how this dish is on the menu. My husband ordered the meatloaf, and unfortunately that was also served cold. The "meatloaf" itself looked more like a burger patty placed on top of mashed potatoes than actual meatloaf. Beyond the food, we also felt noticeably out of place compared with the restaurant's usual clientele, which made the overall experience uncomfortable. Between that feeling and how poorly our food was prepared, we left wondering whether we were simply very unwelcome there. I obviously can't say whether that had anything to do with the quality of our meal, but that is genuinely how uncomfortable the experience made us feel. We left disappointed, still hungry, and feeling like we completely wasted our money. Unfortunately, we would not come back. First time here as I am from out of town. While it wasn't that busy, it took about 6 minutes for someone to come to the table. While that may not be long for some people, usually someone greets you at the table right away, especially when it is not busy. My waitress was friendly and courteous. I ordered a beer, which was very good. I ordered the Pig Candy, and Wings with Bay Spice. The wings were delicious. The Pig Candy were meh. On the menu it reads "slow cooked until brittle". No sooner that I ordered they were brought to my table...they were cold and not crispy or brittle. I ate one, but not the rest. read more

We always come to Craf't in Joliet for Mother's Day brunch, and it has become a special tradition for our family. The food is always delicious, beautifully prepared, and the atmosphere makes the day feel extra meaningful. The only thing to keep in mind is that it can get insanely busy, which just shows how popular it is--but it's absolutely worth it every time. Make reservations! Great food. Great service. One of those menus where I was torn between so many things. French Dip? Buffalo chicken grilled cheese? Beast mode burger? Cluck yeah chicken sando? Hot honey butter chicken sando? Buffalo chicken wrap? Bourbon chicken? Chicken and waffles? Yikes! Such good options!! I went with Cluck Yeah...a tempura battered chicken sandwich with Nashville hot sauce. It was yummy! Hubby had the 815... a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and other fresh toppings. Our friends had the Steakburger...a burger with mushrooms, port glaze, melted Swiss, and crispy onions, and the French dip. Everything was spectacular. Sandwiches are served with chips, but you can sub fries or homemade sweet pickle coleslaw for a small upcharge. I opted for fries, which are covered with shredded parm and roasted garlic. Yummmm. Tonight I ordered take out from this establishment as I have half a dozen times before. I always get the same dish, stuff'd ravioli. The order is always messy with the gravy/sauce spilled out of my container and into the bag. I've overlooked this b/c the sauce/gravy for this meal is very watery and it's packaged in a cheap styrofoam container so what do you expect. Tonight after waiting an extra 10 mins for my order (which I also didn't make a big deal over b/c they were busy) I got to my house, (less than 10 mins away) my food was cold and sloppy and tonight I had a piece of lettuce and an over cooked macaroni noodle included inside the dish itself. My stomach also hurt really bad after I consumed this food tonight. Never again. read more

Ever since I moved to the area this restaurant has been on my radar and I've been looking for an excuse to come by and check it out. Me and my wife noticed that they had an acoustic music night so it was the opportunity to go to the restaurant. I can't believe how busy this place is! I'm Amazed that despite the parking being full that there was a fair amount of seats inside. Inside, I noticed the counter had these really awesome shirts. Marketing department deserves a raise for their creativity. The decorations inside made it feel warm and welcoming. I personally didn't like the little walkthrough to get to the table outside it felt like you're going through a maze. Prices are a bit High but I was a little distraught knowing that what you pay for if you got a burger the fries would probably be included but I promise you it is not. I wasn't too upset about the speed of service knowing that it was a full house tonight. The Burger and fries that I ordered were actually pretty good! They don't have vegan options if you have a picky eater but settling on the impossible Burger is the safe way to go here. I did enjoy the non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails as well! The staff are very friendly and attentive throughout our entire visit which is great to see. Fun fact! As a die hard craft'd fan for years, it pains me to see just how far this place has fallen. From their incredible price increases, to the dramatic change in service quality, to even the fact that they now charge you extra for a salad that was always (and was still listed on their menu as) included with any entree. It seems that the dog friendly patio, cool vibe, along with a few slowly-deteriorating in quality while simultaneously increasing in price menu items are the only things worth coming here for anymore. If they keep up this downward spiral even the last few good items will begin to taste like disappointment as well. Hopefully they can right the ship, it seems to have gone a bit of course. read more

Stopped by on our way outta of Chicago and man was it great. After a stop in Orlando and a 4 day cruise THIS was the best meal of the vacation. Too many good looking entrees and starters to choose from, but went with the giant pretzel that was gargantuan, a 1 foot Philly cheesesteak, bacon peanut butter burger and wings for the grownups and it was all so good. Had lunch with my Niece. She had the Tuna bowl. I had the 851 chicken sandwich. For a starter we ordered the pretzel balls but sine she is non-dairy we had the cheese sauce on the side. She added mustard instead. She liked her tuna bowl. My chicken sandwich wash a large sandwich. Chicken was moist and had good flavor. Their cocktail menu is quite extensive and unique my niece chose. The strawberry blonde cocktail. She really enjoyed it. I had their house bloody Mary complete with the Fixins. Our server was very good very attentive made recommendations. This is a great place for people to meet up for drinks appetizers. There is an outdoor patio when the weather is nice and we were told that they have live music on the weekends. Several years later, I still occasionally for beer, plenty of sports on all the TVs and big screens lots of beer selections they've got about 30 draft beers on tap and the food is . Just spoke with them to do an Easter brunch next week. This place is always been one of the better places in Plainfield worth your time and stop couple of minutes off of I 55 and 30 well worth it good food, plenty of excellent beer, choices, and plenty of screens on, if you're into sports. I've been wanting to try this location since its opening not too far ago. My friend and I decided to have a late lunch here and it was a good experience. The place is familiar to me since I live pretty close to here. The place has a big parking lot and it can fill up during dinner hours. The building kept its "cottage lumber" feeling, so I am glad they kept the character outside and still inside. The wait was a little long, but the food made up for the experience. They seemed a little busy but my wait staff was the bartender so it might explain why there was a little bit of a wait. For our appetizer, we ordered Smoked Pineapple Chicken Nachos. It arrived on a long plate and even had an extra bowl of queso. The amount of food for the nacho would be great for a party of 4+ as a main course. This was just massive! The flavor was on point and I loved the extra queso sauce since it guaranteed that I wouldn't have a flavorless chip. Finally, for my main course, I ordered the Brat burger. I had to try this since this is pretty commonly found in Montgomery/Yorkville area. Instead of chips, I decided to get the truffle fries... which I kinda regret. The truffle flavor was lost and I was not a fan of their fries. It seemed freshly cut which I commend but it was soggy. The Brat, however, was amazing and I was a big fan of it. In the end, for the price and amount of food... I am a huge fan because the price was reasonable but the amount of food they gave is massive. Our server was friendly, but she was busy. Craft'd was our choice after pulling up to Crusade Burger Bar and finding it unfortunately closed. Ample free parking at Craft'd and we were seated right away. Once seated, we asked if we could be moved as there was a vent blowing cold air on us and it was uncomfortable. Our server told us it was cold everywhere in the restaurant and that's why she was working with her coat on. Drinks were good. Ample beer selection, most tap beer local and reasonably priced. Menu has enough to choose from but the food is not amazing and the portion was paltry. I had a Nashville chicken sandwich which was maybe 3oz breaded on a bun. It was tasty but very small. The plate was covered in tots which were pretty salty and greasy. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger which he said was okay. Service was okay, pleasant enough, bit somewhat distracted as the team was busy doing shots at the bar during lunch. The ambiance is cool and we'd like to like Craft'd, but they need to step up the food quality game before we return. read more

Sit down, kiddies, and I'll tell you the tale of the sandwich that attacked me. It happened at this not-so-plain brewpub in Plainfield. It was a gorgeous day and the Missus an' I were seated on the patio. I ordered a real nice goblet of Bell's Amber Ale, a Signature side salad, and their hot honeybutter fried chicken sandwich. The salad was fortified with goat cheese, dried cranberries and somethin' they call "Pig Candy," and anointed with a tangy poppy seed dressing. Look at the purdy pitcher of the sandwich below and tell me if this don't look absolutely yummy. So, I picked up the sandwich, took one bite, and ... SQUIRT!!!!! In self-defense, the battered chicken breast shot a stream of hot juice all over my right arm! Boy, did that smart! I retaliated by devouring the sandwich. This was one of the tastiest (non-spicy), juiciest fried chicken sandwiches I've encountered in recent memory, and I liked the accompanying house-made chips better 'n fries. My Missus had equal praise for her turkey burger and mashed potato upgrade. Next time there's an occasion to travel through Plainfield, we will make a point of visiting Craft'd (but they really ought to post a warning about their attack-breasts!). read more

New York Strip was also a 10/10 the mashed was my favorite. College football was going on so it was a full house and games going on. This place does not disappoint!!! Great food, amazing drinks and always friendly service. This has by far turned into one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I've had the BREAKFAST BOMB which is legit da bomb!! It's Cheddar cheese, fried egg, and candy bacon stacked between Belgian waffles. I'm not a fan of bacon but this candy bacon is to die for!!! The bourbon chicken is also amazing!!! Grilled chicken with a bourbon glaze served with green beans. Yum!!! Balsamic asparagus, the fire kissed cauliflower and the roasted Brussel sprouts are all a must. I love their fancy cocktails and the atmosphere is fun and hip but also family friendly. Cradt'd is pretty far from me so it's not a place I get to very often at all. I've stoppped here on the way to St. Louis, and once or twice when I wanted to watch a college football game (and really was looking for an excuse to visit). They have a couple items that I love and that I don't think I've seen anywhere else. The Chicago rolls are like egg rolls, but their filling is that of an Italian beef sandwich. Italian beef and giardinera (and maybe cheese?) inside an egg roll, served with some mild sauce. They are so freaking good. I don't even know what compelled me to try them since this was before I realized I liked Italian beef (well, one restaurant's Italian beef), but I'm glad I did. The other item is the pig candy. These are thick sliced pieces of bacon in some sort of brown or Demerara sugar coating or something. I love these--when they're cooked well. I've had them once or twice when the bacon is a little less cooked that I like and that's not really pleasant... but for the most part, when you order them in, they're cooked pretty well because they serve them standing up in a mason jar and it would mess up the presentation of the bacon was flopping over the rim of the jar. For dessert, make sure you get their [whatever it's called]. I had something similar at another place and when I visited Craft'd and saw this I figured I'd give it a try since the similar-sounding item elsewhere had been good. I was not disappointed; it was so delicious! Definitely my recommendation if you're looking for dessert. I've had a couple of their mains and they're fine; really the standout items are the ones I've already talked about. The place is clean, and there are like 50 TVs for whatever sport is happening at the moment. They restaurant is pretty large, especially when they open the patio, and there is tons of parking. They created a drive-up pickup window during the pandemic which was useful when I was down here and decided to grab something to go, but I'm not her if that will remain once the pandemic peters out or not. read more

High prices are the worst thing about it. The burgers are the favorites and they have angus beef as well as soy. Checked it out an afternoon with a female friend. It looks like a sleek modern place. This seems like mainly a local version of something like Applebee's where children wouldn't be too uncomfortable. Has lots of big TVs so you can watch games. This seems like quite a popular place for weekends. It's about $9 for cocktails. They don't exactly have any wells. Food unfortunately is even more expensive. They're best known for burgers, and they have a lot. Also has an Impossible Burger. It's $15 and comes with a side like fries or a salad. This is an expensive burger but it's hearty though. Good place to hang out on an afternoon. It has fairly high prices but nothing unusual around here. There's a few burgers for vegetarians. read more

Update: the company reached out to us and sent a gift card to try them out again. We went back and had a much better experience the second time. The pretzel was hot and delicious. We got the breakfast bomb and the waffle tasted home made. Everything was very good and service was much better. We've been here quite a few times and this most recent time was very disappointing. The food was cold, the meatloaf was extremely dry as was the salad. We asked for the salad to be split since we have done it in the past and we're told no. The waitress never appeared until we were done so we couldn't even get more dressing. We ordered a root beer when we first sat down and never got that. It was Just overall not great great experience at all. And on top of that we're charged an extra dollar for our kids meal which we ordered a cheeseburger from the menu which is $8- we'll apparently that waitress thought you had to pay another $1 for cheese for the CHEESEburger. The quality and the food portions have not changed all these years and their selection of beers change with the seasons which it makes it more appealing. Service is always good although busy on weekends that is a bit slow but understandable. Decided to stop in with a friend on Saturday for lunch. First off, I want to say our service from Lizette H was amazing. She was super friendly and helped my friend and I decide on menu choices. She even brought samples of 2 beers by so my friend could make her decision. She constantly checked on us to ensure our dining experience was great. I ordered the craftd Mac n cheese. It was amazing! Had so much pulled pork in the Mac n cheese! At first I was like $17 for Mac n cheese? But it had pork and bacon on it and the serving size was huge!! I took so much home! It was served with a delicious piece of bread as well. The Mac n cheese came with their signature side salad. It's not your average side salad. It had dried cranberries, feta, and their candied bacon. They have a decent sized beer list. Local craft beer as well as the standard basics. Patio is spacious, but we chose to sit inside on this visit as it was so hot out! I would recommend!! My only complaint would be there floor was extremely slippery.
