    Steak Fries were tasty.
    Mike S.

I saw Fritz's Pour House on Facebook, and was intrigued. On a Friday evening, I took my husband here to check out the food. A few folks were dining in, and the bar was full of guests. The atmosphere was that of a typical bar, not exactly quiet, but to be expected. The waitress was friendly and greeted us promptly. We ordered drinks and nachos as an appetizer. The nachos were crunchy with plenty of tasty toppings. My husband ordered their Jambalya. I've never seen anything like this. It was a pile of tomato paste (yes, it looked to just be tomato paste) mixed with some shrimp, and rice. This was taken home, well the shrimp were, the tomato paste was discarded. I ordered the Mississippi Pot Roast Dinner, which came with Steak Fries. The pot roast was tasty and well-cooked. The steak fries were tasty and not over-salted. If they had a clue how to make Jambalya, they'd have earned more than two stars.

The shrimp and grits. The crab cakes and the garlic shrimp pasta It was amazing.

Talk about a hidden gem!!! This place is amazing. The food portions are shareable! The atmosphere is cozy. The service was great and friendly. This is definitely a must try if you haven't been there before! Definitely Five Star qualities.... The food was amazing.!

It's what I would call you neighborhood dive bar...the place is filled with smiles and laughter I went for the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich which did not disappoint it was great thickness and full of flavor having fried Brussel Sprouts has a side knocked it out of the Ballpark. Even with it being busy the service was Good

Word of advice: this is not a fast meal type of place, everything is fresh and they get busy af. Have patience and understanding. If something is wrong, definitely speak up since the employees and owner are super understanding and kind. Anyway now to my review: The food is amazing. The service is always fast. And the ambiance is nice. Not too crowded and super fun. Steak bites as our appetizer, literally to die for. Comes with pitas and tzatziki sauce Chicken pot pie was 10/10 (don't add more salt, trust me, it is perfectly seasoned) Garlic shrimp pasta with broccoli, so good Cinnamon roll as the dessert that we brought home and i didn't get a picture of lol. And my drink was the buttered toffee, and it was delicious. I have been here multiple times and will keep going back!

OMG the place is heaven on earth!! Their food definitely has a homemade culinary feel. We started with their gigantic cheese sticks served with a very tasty, chunky marinara sauce. I usually do ranch but after trying their marinara I didn't go back! Fantastic! The outer was a crisp yummy batter. I got their corned beef Reuben (but left off the sauerkraut - not my thing) the outside was buttery grilled bread with Swiss cheese and thousand island. The corned beef was for real- freshly cut, not the lunchmeat junk. Hubby had chili which he really liked as well. We took home some dessert for later- a bread pudding and a carrot cake. Which had to be the best I've ever had! Seriously yummy! Next time I'll get their limoncello cake- I was torn. Again I kept humming the song from Cheers because that is how this little bar felt. Their food did not match the persona. Their menu is definitely not your typical "bar food" maybe the cook was a chef?? Our waitress was cute and very nice. They had specials on drinks. Their prices were great compared to other eateries. My sandwich was $13? which for a sit restaurant was great! Everything was great we will definitely be back!! Top notch- thank you!

I am mad at myself for forgetting our female server's name but we were served on Dec 17 around noon. She was a great server. Brother ordered mozzarella sticks which came out right away and were very tasty, served in a cute little cone server. Mother got four sliders off the appetizer menu although it was way too much food. We tried to order the kids portion of sliders but the server told us the restaurant would not allow adults to order kids menu items as their meal. The two sliders went to waste unfortunately. I got the grilled fish tacos but was a bit underwhelmed with the thinness of the fish. A bit rubbery. I ate one whole taco and tried to eat the filling out of the rest. My brother enjoyed his meal which was the Anthony's Favorite Gyros. I would come back again if I was in the area as the service was friendly and they had a very good selection.

Obviously they have a crap ton of memorabilia. The menu is pretty expected and filled with classic greasy fried things. A pretty average looking place to be honest. It's almost as if this building used to be a chain like Applebee's or something. There's not a lot of charm, just loud TVs and yelling. Only a bit busy coming in. We were able to find bar seats. Has lots of great specials going on. It's $5.50 to get Jameson on Saturdays. As for the food menu it's pretty meaty. It's $11 for Hot Soft Pretzels. A lot of the rest of it is stuff like burgers. There's also pastas and pizzas. Seems like everything gets meat on it. The other stuff is pretty greasy as we saw on the other plates. For sure it's a great place for watching sports and other types of games. It's located by the Louis Joliet Mall so you can eat here after you go there. The area as far as restaurants is sucking and this is one of the better options for family, friends, or for whoever.
