First time coming here. Wanted to check out a new local Joliet area bar. This place is great! Parking is a hassle sure but it's the only neighborhood bar that has food. The fish was not served as advertised. Later when I questioned it, I was rudely told it's the same fish and same breading by management. I never send food back, ever. First time here. I was looking for a neighborhood bar for lunch and a cold beer. Catchers has a good parking situation.Only a couple of people inside when I arrived around 11am as would be expected.. Greeted nicely by the bartender Sarah and one of the patrons. Once I settled in and got my first beer, Sarah offered to change the channel from the news to something else if I wanted. Although the bar was pretty much empty, I felt welcomed. The bar was clean. I ended up getting the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich which was huge and delicious. People were slowing arriving and all seemed to be neighborhood regulars. I love little neighborhood bars like this. I'll be back to try a burger. read more

Third time here, and another great experience. Was packed, because 1) Cubs in NLCS, 2) wife had another class reunion, and 3) the bar was hosting a "dog rescue" event. Oh, and the Leinenkugel girls were there too. Given the crowd, it was amazing how well the staff handled requests. They even had, on top of their usual menu, an extra Oktoberfest menu. Da wife had the brat and fries, and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We also, once again, did the pita with spinach artichoke dip. Everything was tops, it all came out in a reasonable time, and again, the service was great, so I was sure to take extra good care of our young lady. Their beer selection is really good, especially in bottles. You usually think of a neighborhood sports bar as Tombstone pizza and nachos. This place is actually a destination for us for FOOD. Parking's fun, cuz it's in the middle of a working class neighborhood, and last night was a MONSOON. But overall a superior experience. Friendly crowd, too. Went in Saturday night with friends for dinner. I ordered a Mexican Mule, which I thoroughly enjoyed, very good drink. For eats I had a Reuben sandwich with home-cut fries. It was outstanding! The corned beef was flavorful, plentiful and cooked perfectly. Nice amount of cheese and kraut as well. The fries were hot and delicious! Friendly servers and the food is really, really good bar food. It took some time to find as this is the absolute definition of a "neighborhood bar". From what I've had food is pretty good for bar food. They just changed kitchens/owner of kitchen so I've only eaten here 2 times. Both times I had mushroom appetizer which they bread, pretty good. I had pork tenderloin which they also hand make. The first time it was slightly over cooked but still good although the Cajun seasoning is non traditional to a pork tenderloin sandwich. The sandwich was huge. Could only eat half. Came here today to see if I could get one properly cooked but they were out. Hot the poor boy instead, meat is good quality I give it 6/7 out of 10. The bartender with the super long curly locks was totally welcoming and VERY attentive. I think that management needs to address an issue with the bartender Tammi. She's very rude. She has an aggressive demeanor. I honestly won't be back in despite the food being amazing. If Tammi didn't work their maybe I'd be back...but honestly I've worked in food service for 25 years and I don't understand how someone like Tammi could talk to people the way she does and still have a job.
