I love this spot! The food, the ambiance, the staff is all amazing. We came on a Saturday and it was busy but we were sat within less than 15 minutes for 2 people. Great place to watch football games. Got the chicken nachos and they were so delicious, the chicken had a ton of flavor. Also had the buffalo shrimp with blue cheese crumbles--chef's kiss! And for the main course, split the wagyu meatball sub and truffle Parmesan fries. Probably the best meatball sub I've ever had! Crispy bread, tender meatballs, and perfect amount of sauce. That's a lot for what it is. Great spot with a huge variety of dishes - something for everyone. I really enjoyed sitting outside as the night was gorgeous. Even though it was summer, I enjoyed the french onion soup. My new favorite restaurant! We absolutely love their sister restaurant Fuller House, however I much prefer the seating layout here. They have a similar menu, but I loved the decor and how spacious the restaurant is. The food is amazing too! The tavern burger my boyfriend gave a 9/10 he is a burger lover. The real star of the dinner was the brisket grilled cheese, I CANNOT WAIT TO HAVE IT AGAIN! I normally order the chicken Cesar wrap, but I decided to try something new. And it was 10/10! It's a big portion, I only finished half of the sandwich, and ate the other half much later in the day. The Mac n cheese is delicious! A solid (4/5) it's more of a creamy sauce rather than cheesy. The service was excellent, the waiter we had was kind and checked in on us multiple times. He gaves us amazing recommendations and made us feel welcomed. All good. So we had a number of snacks. The pretzel was good. It comes with multiple sauces and I liked all of them. Then we also shared cauliflower wings. This was probably not my fave appetizer, but it was still fine. Lastly, we had the nachos, which is NOT a small plate. it was quite a bit of nachos. Good nachos - good toppings, chips, guac, cheese, etc. And then beyond apps, we had the margherita pizza, which was decent. As the name indicates, it's more of an Italian style pizza, but the crust was quite crispy. I liked it. So for drinks, I had a signature old fashion, which was decent. Definitely "hit" the spot. The wait can be long during peak dinner time, so I recommend checking the waitlist and joining it as needed (through Yelp) as soon as you think of going to pierce. The menu changes frequently, so be sure to enjoy the seasonal specialties. The food lost one star for me because they forgot to dress my salad (or didn't deliver dressing on the side, idk). As such, I don't think I got a good sense of what Pierce Tavern can deliver based on others' ratings. This place was honestly so busy and I can see why. The food and service was excellent. We got the calamari and buffalo shrimp to start which was perfectly fried, not greasy, and seasoned well. The portions were pretty good for the price. Now for the entrees we got the west coast burger with animal style fries and the birria tacos. It's not over the top sports bar theme but just enough TVs to keep everything interesting. She didn't acknowledge my presence so I thought she didn't hear me. I said hello again and that we were on a waitlist from Yelp. Went to Pierce for first time last Wednesday. The place was packed when we got there around 5pm and a line developed soon after. We were seated and server was on us quite soon. Food was good, not great. Wife had French onion soup and Brussel Sprout Salad. Said the soup was OK but she really liked the salad. I had the Patty Melt and asked for it to be medium rare and was told they don't do medium rare. Not a big deal. Instead of Rye the bread was Texas Toast. That was just too much bread for a sandwich. Otherwise pretty good but wouldn't order again. Had some incredible fries, called Animal Fries, which are fries with their unique animal sauce - that I loved. Really liked the atmosphere of Pierce. We walked into Pierce Tavern on a Friday night for a spontaneous date night and we had an amazing time!! The space was POPPINNN, both inside and outside! It's got rustic bar vibes mixed with sporty vibes. We were seated right away and the service was amazing! Their menu has a ton to offer from sandwiches and pizzas to burgers and pastas. We got the brisket grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and the caprese sandwich with truffle fries. The meat inside the grilled cheese was sooooo tender and juicy. The sandwich itself was crispy on the outside and did not get soggy from the filling at all, which was amazing! The sweet potato fries were classic - crispy, flavorful, and we asked for their buffalo sauce on the side which was INSANEELYY delicious! We asked for grilled chicken inside the caprese sandwich, which was a little underwhelming in my opinion. The meat did not taste or look fresh. The pesto, mozzarella, and tomatoes were very delicious and went perfectly with the sourdough bread! The truffle fries were AMAZING! Highly highly recommend!! We also got some tequila based mojitos, both of which were very refreshing and had a great punch of alcohol.
