We chose Entourage to celebrate our son just before he leaves for the Navy. It's one of his favorite restaurants, and the team made the night everything we hoped for. Anthony Vai and his staff were top notch from start to finish. We started with the calamari, spicy tuna crispy rice, and spring rolls, then moved on to the halibut special, steak frites, vodka pasta, and white fish. Every dish was excellent. And Sandy's white wine remains our favorite dessert ever. We couldn't be happier. The Vais (Michael, Anthony, and Nick) and their partners, Sandy and Pete, hold a special place in our hearts. They treat every guest with incredible hospitality and serve incredible food. Thank you for a night we'll remember. read more

We went back a second time with the family, and once again, it was excellent! The deviled eggs were fantastic, and the spring rolls and tuna appetizer were all spot on. For dinner, the Kansas strip, ribeye, and stroganoff were all outstanding. The salmon Caesar and vodka pasta with chicken were also excellent. Everything was consistently great, which is why we came back. Definitely a place we'll be returning to! read more

Entourage - Julia Green - American Near Me - Downers Grove, Illinois

I finally made it here after hearing so many different people talk about Entourage. Downtown DG is always a bit of a gamble, but we took a chance to come here for a Sunday brunch and it was SO worth it. They don't take reservations (this is the only reason I'm knocking off a star), so we just walked in and got a table immediately at 11ish. They have a dedicated brunch menu which had something for everyone. We both got the hot chicken and waffles and 10/10. Would order this every single time I come here. Our server, Paige was the BEST. Incredibly nice and made some great suggestions on the menu. Overall, this is the type of place I would probably not think to come to for brunch, but it really does seem to be good for all hours. Would love to come back here for a nightcap - the bar & vibe of the place is dark and moody, which would be perfect for end of the night. read more

Our Server Ana was FANTASTIC. She was always smiling and very knowledgeable. Started with the Whiskey Flight which was a great way to taste liquors. Each shot is 1oz. It would help if there was a little write-up about each one because I had to "google" it myself. French Onion soup was an outstanding knockout We ordered a large wedge salad and said we would share it and Ana brought it to the table already portioned! Now that's a great server. I ordered the Long Island steak and said I wanted it NAKED. Well, it came to the table with what I believe was lumpy butter on the top and as it cooled, it made the meat very greasy. Seating in the wraparound arrangement is kinda cool but since the view is the commuter and freight trains, it didn't add much to the ambience read more

The food here is top notch. Truly, I have never gone wrong. When I last came, I sat at the bar for a solo dinner date and ordered the burger with an old fashioned. The bartender was great to chat with, and my burger came out quickly. A word of caution: their drinks are strong, but high quality ingredients and absolutely delicious. read more

Good food, menu selections, and ambience! Chicken pot pie was really good, New York strip was good but I would try something different next time, and the appetizers were both good and would get again! read more

So glad we got to try this for an early dinner... the very young gal/ hostess I believe Molly was very sweet when we asked for a booth although it was just 2 of us dining. Our Server Page was very professional although not as friendly, she was patient with our requests and got our food and drinks very quickly. The branzino was easily one of the best seasoned I have ever eaten and have certainly eaten a fair amount of fish in my life . The Thai spring rolls were gourmet and looked delicious as they tasted , the chicken pot pie didn't disappoint either I love farm to table and scratch kitchens being a food snob and the quality was top notch . The bathrooms were clean as well. The restaurant filled up rather quickly on a weekday evening and we weren't rushed to give up our large table which was a good thing. Shall certainly be back . read more

Entourage - Happy hour - American Near Me - Downers Grove, Illinois

Tonight, the family wanted to try somewhere we do t frequent much... Downtown Downers Grove.! Wow has this place changed since I had been here years ago. Tons of restaurants, tons of nightlife, ice cream shops, etc! We tried Entourage. We were sat outside and it was beautiful. Nice weather, prompt service, and good food. We were sat immediately and drinks were ordered right away. Our server had great communication and attentiveness. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of the drinks but they both were good. One was a raspberry drink special, and mine was like a smoked old fashion. Both were fantastic. For dinner we ordered calamari and deviled eggs. The devil eggs were good but the bacon and maple syrup overpowered the egg flavor. They were still tasty. The calamari... omg! This calamari has a different twist and it is some of the most phenomenal calamari I have ever had. The reading is crispy but not over cooked. The sauce is not generic marinara sauce. It's a basil oil with chili sauce mixed. Wow!!!! You gotta try it. For dinner, we ordered a side of Brussels sprouts. And Long Island strip wagyu and stone axe wagyu. 2 of us ordered medium rare and my wife selected medium. All three were slightly overcooked. My wife wanted to send hers back and they absolutely did everything to make it right. And they were also fast at doing so. The Brussels spouts were very good. Crispy, bacon, mmmmm. Overall, the food was excellent. The service was great. If you are in the downers Grove, Entourage is definitely worth trying! read more

Stopped here on a whim (Thursday evening) and it happened to be during the carnival. Was able to sit outside immediately with no reservation. Our server was friendly and attentive. The drink was very refreshing and pretty. The beef stroganoff was good but too much rosemary in it. It overpowered the dish. The lamb chops were also good but way too much char and too much rosemary in this dish too. My suggestion would be to put a little pile or sprig on the dish so people can take it off if they don't like it. read more

Entourage - Classic Chicken Pot Pie - American Near Me - Downers Grove, Illinois

First time visit to Downers Grove and Entourage. I had the Chicken Pot Pie and it was excellent, filled with white meat, carrots, potatoes and peas. The crust was flaky. My wife had the crab cake and it was filled with crab meat and she was impressed. We will be back. read more

Went for apps and a night cap. The food was very good and the old fashion was delicious! Service was great. I would go back again.

This place turns over far too much. They haven't changed the layout or anything. They also have an amazing menu. Anna at the bar is great. I got the wedge salad with added steak. It was a perfect medium rare and had amazing char. It was bordering on too much but just straddled it. I added raw onion to the wedge and you can't sleep on the house made blue cheese dressing! Sorry, I meant space, not place. Lots of drama with that, lol. Also sorry for misspelling Ana. read more

I travel for work and so I have the opportunity to try many different places. I try to frequent local places and base my reviews heavily on service, then food. Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more. read more

Chilean seabass did not disappoint! Service was friendly, drinks were food and the ambiance was nice.. what more could you ask for :)

Amazing happy hour! Drinks for like 7/8 and small plates are half off. Portions are generous and pretty good. I know this place is relatively new so they may be trying to find their grove still but our server forgot to place our drink order and was not as attentive. However, the manager noticed this and apologized by giving us two vouchers. Also no A/C for a hot day was not so fun! read more

Really good happy hour special!! I would definitely come back to try more of their small plates (which aren't small at all LOL) so it's a good size for the price you get- especially if you come for happy hour. Some of our favorites were the calamari, deviled eggs, and the shrimp and grits. We also liked their drinks, so we have to come back. Definitely looking to get the old fashioned, probably for the presentation haha. While we enjoyed the food, the service wasn't the best. Once we were seated, it took a while until our server had come over to our table, so we were mainly waiting. During the meal it went better, but we ordered a second round of drinks and after quite a bit of waiting, they realized that our order wasn't put in... in full transparency, we were given a complimentary small plate upon return because of the wait, which does help a bit, but that did add to the overall experience. I understand that it was busy, it just seemed like everyone else around us was getting helped, besides us :/ read more

Great food. The mix of unique flavors was amazing. We stopped for a late lunch. Had the deviled egg and Brussel sprouts appetizers. Sounds odd but the sweetness gave a unique experience to the traditional deviled egg. Brussels sprouts were fairly traditional and good if you're a fan. Entrees were the Delmonico Ribeye and Pistachio crusted whitefish. Both were amazing. I felt like Remy in Ratatouille enjoying the blend of colorful flavors. Finished off with Key Lime Pie, another great choice. The food does not disappoint. The atmosphere was nice and upscale but not overly fancy. Great music played in background at a volume able to be heard and allowed for conversation. The server was great with balancing ensuring we had full water glasses and next phases/courses of our experience. The food courses were spaced out and giving time to enjoy each equally. This was perfect for the desire for a "take your time" dining experience. Not good if in a hurry. Added to the list of top places to return to. read more

The drawback of Entourage - and why it took us so long to go there - is that they don't take reservations. We were able to call ahead and get on a priority list, but not ideal if you're meeting another couple there. It is a small restuarant - only 19 tables - and little room to wait. The intimacy of the restaurant was nice - and our service was excellent. They do have outside seating during the summer - next to the train - but still anything that has outside seating is a plus. I've always thought it was primarily a steakhouse, but I disagree with that assumption in that there were several other dishes on the menu that I would recommend. For example - we started with the spicy shrimp and grits and it was the best thing we had. Lovely spice and just very delicious. For entrees - I got the filet - adding a horseradish topping and my husband got the lobster and shrimp rigatoni. My steak came with a potato side, sun dried tomatoes and pickled onions. I ordered the steak medium, but it was more than medium. Thankfully, I had the horseradish / tomatoes / onions to top it with b/c otherwise, the steak was a little dry. The potato side was also bland. Not the best steak I've had before - that's for sure. On the other hand, my husband loved his dish and would highly recommend it. We also got the banana cream pie for dessert - off the advice of a friend. However - not sure I would recommend it - or she just built it up in our mind. read more

I took V to Entourage to celebrate his birthday, and it turned out to be a fantastic evening from start to finish. We arrived on a Friday night just before 9:00 PM and had no trouble finding street parking--always a win. We were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer, who was absolutely amazing. She let us know about their late-night perk: half-price small plates and select drinks on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until close, which is such a great incentive for heading out later in the evening. Jennifer was attentive without being intrusive--our water glasses were always full, she checked in after every course, and her recommendations for both food and drinks were spot-on. We started with a Mad Rose for V and a Chameleon for me. Both cocktails were delicious, and after finishing his Mad Rose, V definitely felt the celebratory spirit kicking in. For appetizers, we shared the Vietnamese Summer Rolls and Sweet Chili Calamari. The summer rolls were light, fresh, and nicely accented with mint. The calamari was sweet with a surprisingly spicy finish--delicious, though the heat was just a bit much for V. I'd happily order both again. For my main course, I had the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff, and wow--hands down the best stroganoff I've ever had. The beef was incredibly tender, and the sauce was perfectly balanced with the noodles. It even paired beautifully with my Chameleon, with subtle lemon notes that complemented each other surprisingly well. V ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop, cooked medium well and absolutely perfect. He loved every bite. It came with a risotto that he enjoyed, even if it wasn't the standout of the dish. Dessert sealed the deal. We finished with Sandy's White Wine Cake--which reminded me of a carrot cake in the best way--and the Banana Cream Pie, which was easily the best banana cream pie I've ever had. Truly a WOW moment. Between the excellent food, thoughtful service, and great late-night specials, Entourage made V's birthday celebration one to remember. We'll definitely be back. Sorry, I wish I had pics but I left my phone behind today. read more

Entourage is one of the most popular restaurants in downtown Downers Grove. They don't take reservations but you can call ahead for priority seating, which does not reserve but reduces the wait time. We have tried to do walk-in and were turned away before so highly recommend calling ahead. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The cocktails, food, and service were all wonderful. I would note that the seafood pasta, which I don't recall the menu name of, was a bit watered down and bland. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful and delicious! The chicken wings were great, but I wasn't a fan of the blue cheese. Overall I understand the popularity and highly recommend! read more

Silence Falls Drink - 4 of 5 A very enjoyable drink and refreshing. It could use more of the blood orange flavor to be more my liking I think. Hot Pepper Chicken Wings - I didnt think I liked blue cheese and wings until I had this dish. 5 of 5 with the perfect flavors. Spicy Shrimp and Jalapeño Grits 5 of 5: Definitely a new and delicious take on this dish. It is swimming in some heavenly sauce that's for sure. Superb flavor here. Sodium intensive I'd say. (you've been warned). Wagyu Meatloaf Sundae 4 of 5: Almost too much of a good thing. Flavor excellent, though it gets hard to eat cause there is just too much of the same flavor. Everything was cooked expertly though and I hair never thought of eating this dish that way. Service was good, but this place is BUSY! Get here and have a seat reserved ahead of time. read more

We celebrated Father's Day at Entourage, and it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The drinks were just as impressive, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and we'll definitely be back. After a long final day of a conference in the Chicago suburbs, I really did not feel like dealing with traffic or going out to dine solo, so tonight called for delivery. I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area. read more

Perfect spot in the heart of downtown Downers Grove! My girlfriend loves this place and suggested it for our lunch date -- and she was right. We shared some of her favorites: the crab cake, hot chicken salad, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. But the standout for me? The espresso martini -- perfectly icy, rich, and full of that bold espresso flavor. Easily one of the best I've had. read more

Priority seat list didn't do much for us as we didn't get seated for an hour and 15 minutes. (This 4-star review should be 3 stars because of that). Entrees were good but not exceptional, service was also memorable, and the intimate dining area was nice. Had we not been enjoying meeting up with old friends for dinner, the lengthy wait to be seated would have dragged this score down. read more

I had lunch at Entourage on a cold gray day, so wanted something warm and spicy. This pasta dish was it! The shrimp were large enough to cut in half, with fresh spinach leaves, grilled jalapeño slices and tiny tomatoes over the pasta and cream sauce. Two pieces of garlic bread came on the side, which get extra points for having fresh garlic and rosemary in them. The service was very attentive and friendly, with a soothing ambiance created by dark wall colors and high ceilings. Plus they had a special for Restaurant Week so it was a very good lunch altogether. read more

Service was lovely, and the manager came to our table during the lunch hour on a Friday. The menu is substantial. All prices are much higher than expected for lunch, but the value / quality is worth the price. Tempura Cheese Curds Focaccia Lobster Bisque Gorgeous location, friendly staff but tough parking (plan to take time for that during peak hours or community events like the Saturday farmers market). This is one of the best restaurants in the Chicago aura HANDS DOWN. The owner of this restaurant has a few others and they are all just as amazing. The service is preteen. The bartender will ask if you want more drinks, he loves to serve. Nothing worse then a bartender who hates making drinks. The food is beyond delicious and flavorful. The steak is easily the best you can find the side of the Mississippi. My favorite food of the night was the tempura fried cheese curds. And the tomahawk steak. The room is well lit and blue. This small restraint had a huge personality. Easily my second favorite place to eat in Chicago area. The owners other restraint called "VAI'S" is my favorite. read more

Decided to try a new place in downtown Downers, I saw there was lobster bisque in the menu, and I'm a sucker for lobster bisque. The restaurant itself was very welcoming, clean, and trendy looking. We really enjoyed the ambiance. My husband got the steak and eggs, his steak was okay, cooked to the right temp, just not our favorite cut. My salad was good, the dressing needed a touch more acid, almost as good as Gibson's lobster salad, which they sadly don't have on the menu anymore. The lobster bisque was thick and rich, my husband really liked it, but I felt like I was drinking cream. I love cream, but expected something different from this. Service was good, our waitress was nice and seemed very sweet. There was a woman going table to table asking how things were, she didn't stop at our table though. Overall, it was okay. We might try their other offerings another time. read more
