We frequent this place a lot. Great food, great drinks and excellent service. I recommend having the meatloaf with an old fashioned.

Met up with some friends who were visiting and staying about halfway between us and Madison's, so this served as the perfect location for a meetup. And, everything here was perfectly, solidly just fine. Great service and a lot of space--it was not crowded at all on a Tuesday--but nothing about any of the food was better or worse than a 3 out of 5. We stopped at Madison's a few weeks back for dinner. We were there during Happy Hour so I tried the House Pinot Noir - not my favorite, but my husband enjoyed his Passion Fruit Margarita. For entrees - we got the jalapeno burger and Cubano sandwich. Both were good - nothnig spectacular, however. The burger was very messy for my husband but had a good flavor. A solid just ok place. When I asked my husband what he wanted for dinner, he said a steak salad. Madison's was the first place that came up on Yelp when I searched for steak salad. One of the first things I noticed at the entrance is there is a lift to make it handicapped accessible. I went with the steak bites and a side salad. Steak bites were seasoned great. I wasn't a fan of the mushrooms they were served with. Side salad was a decent size. Our server brought our check before we had asked for it. However, we still wanted dessert! Went with a slice of carrot cake to split and it was pretty tasty! Nothing really stood out about my dining experience. Decent sized menu and very reasonable prices. read more

Small restaurant. I didn't know there was a restaurant way out here. It was very hot out so we decided to eat indoors. I had the Cobb salad with steak and chicken. Its a decent size salad. My only critique, it's in a weird shaped bowl. All in all, good experience and good food. read more

A really good restaurant that has a great and varied selection of food and drink. Moderately priced, Modernized interior and friendly wait staff. Very good cocktails. Way too expensive for the "meh" food that you get. Went there this past Saturday for lunch. Two adults one child. Two pretty basic sandwich entrees, a kids burger, one iced tea, two waters, and an order of cheese curds. $90 which included a $15 tip. This food isn't worth half that. To make matters worse, my wife used the bathroom while we were there and said it was disgusting, made worse by the fact that they had just opened for the day. Service was ok, nothing special. Hands down the BEST fish and chips around. Actually, as good as I've had in Florida where we winter on the Gulf. Nice staff, great service. Only complaint is the noise. Table of six women by us were EXTREMELY obnoxious and loud, and needed to be gagged. But....the food makes up for it. Always an excellent meal and decently priced. read more

Took a different way to Oakbrook and stumbled across this - decided to give it a whirl, sooooo glad I did. Our waitress was amazing and when we said it was our first time there she pulled up a chair and walked us through some of their most popular items and was patient while we worked it out. The meatloaf tower was super and had some great flavor. The Cuban did not disappoint was also very good. The sleeper was the French onion soup that was popping and not the bland disappointment some places have. Wow! The food was incredible, my kids and family ate everything on their plates. I got the mile high meatloaf, my wife got the buffalo chicken wrap, kids got the kids Mac and cheese and my son got the fish and chips. Everything had flavor and was hot! The service was good the waitress was nice and attentive, the only issue we had was the guy clearing the dishes was very pushy, we had barely finished and he was reaching across us grabbing plates. That would be our only complaint. The inside had a really neat travel decor and it was really neat to look at while waiting for our food! read more

We had the perch and the walleye and both were excellent. The quality of the fish was higher than you would expect from a pub.

We took a trip down to see family, and after searching for a place to eat, we stumbled upon Madison's Pub and Grill. It was delicious! It was in a place I grew up as a child, and my father's friend owned that property. Good memories there, for sure. I ordered the black and blue burger, and it was cooked to perfection! My husband ordered the Jalapeno burger, but requested no barbeque sauce. We both loved our burgers! We both had fries with our burger. Good food, excellent staff, and a lovely experience. However, the cheese curds that we ordered were overcooked, but the parmesan that was added, was nice touch. Don't overcook your cheese curds, coming from an opinion from Wisconsinites. We will be back there the next time we venture south. read more

My husband and I stopped here for a bite and boy are we glad we did! The lot was not very full but it was 2:30 so we thought we hit a sweet spot, after the lunch rush, but before the dinner crowd. We had burgers and dinner salads, the were both delicious. The salad was in a chilled bowl and was very fresh. The cheeseburgers were juicy and delicious. Did I mention the garlic mayo! Wow! Our server was Chelsea, and she was fabulous. Made us feel welcome, was prompt and friendly. All in all a great experience. We will be back when passing through town. read more

Hidden talent. Had the BLT & stole some fish (cod) tacos from a friend's plate. Nom nom. Fish was breaded ever so lightly & with the perfect crunch. I think 3 came with his order...? The sauce on top was the perfect kiss. BLT was ok...loved the garlic Mayo but didn't love the diced lettuce that fell out everywhere. Get the homemade chips vs the fries. Lots of Ruebens in the city but I don't think you would be disappointed. The Burger was good. I really enjoyed the toasted brioche bun. Buffalo shrimp is incredible! Chicken pot and shrimp tacos were 10/10! So good! 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday- highly recommend!

Wow. Stopped in here Friday of Labor Day Weekend with some family. On first impression, the back patio looked dreamy with the sunset, and seemed like a quiet place to meet up with friends or family. The restaurant has loads of parking, which is perfect as it's a pretty decent sized restaurant. While sitting down, our waitress was quick to serve. I ordered a cosmo, which came garnished with a dehydrated grapefruit + in a cute glass. The other craft cocktails looked very delicious. To start, we ordered the octopus and cheese curds as appetizers. The octopus was delicious, and met a good texture - which is hard to accomplish! The cheese curds were out of this world, and were paired with a southwest ranch sauce, as well as a different sauce. I could see myself ordering the cheese curds for takeout on a night in because they were that good. For my main, I got a Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was perfect - moist and flaky. This Caesar had good slices of Parmesan on top and the sauce was placed on the side, in a generous amount. Other entrées included the shrimp, which was a family favorite. Additionally the bayou pasta was outstanding. My cousin is vegetarian - the chef accommodated for this by personally coming to the table and asking if we would like to add extra vegetables. While I didn't get a full review or taste of the other entrées, I heard good feedback, even from my picky grandmother! We ended with the Keylime pie. Although I am not a Keylime pie girl, this was tasty, fresh, and fluffy. I would entirely recommend Madison's for a dinner out with a large group or for quick and casual drinks + apps. The range of the menu, in combination with the quality of the food, was impressive. Will stop back in on my next journey to Illinois! read more
