Unfortunately the service was terrible - I asked for one Diet Coke 10 times over 20 minutes and was told sure one second and then it never came. Now for the real deal: my food and my husband's was brought out first. His "10 oz" steak (more like a 6 oz.) looked like a steak from the dollar store (son's words). It was ordered medium rare and came out as dry as the desert. My son's plate came out after a significant wait. Why wouldn't they bring the food out together? I'm from Los Angeles and was visiting some family for a few days. On Saturday night, everyone decided they wanted to have brunch in the morning. Sunday brunch is not for the faint of heart in LA and usually involve long wait times. I searched for breakfast spots nearby that took reservations and this place popped up. We had a party of 10 but the Yelp reservation system only allowed up to a party of 6 so we made two reservations, one for 6 and another for 4. The next morning, I called and asked if both reservations could somehow be seated close together or combined and the girl I spoke to (I believe her name was Maria) was so kind and said yes but there might be a short wait. When we got there, we waited for maybe 10 minutes and were able to get two tables put together for our entire group. Our waitress, Marissa, was patient with our large group and I really appreciated that. Their menu is huge so there's literally something for everyone. The portions are huge as well! I ordered the avocado omelette, which had bacon, tomato, swiss cheese, and avocado plus a side of potatoes and toast. I've never had an omelette come out so perfect before. The eggs are usually overcooked but this omelette was amazing. However they accidentally brought me the very berry French toast only. No worries, I was starving and it tasted great with fresh berries on top. As someone who previously worked in the fast food industry, all these positive reviews must be from friends or family because this was the worst dining experience ever. I should've taken a hint when we pulled up to the restaurant and it looked broken down and only two cars in the lot. Got greeted and then seated right next to the only customer there. Was never asked if I wanted a booth or table in which there's barely any booths either way. My partner tried ordering a smoothie come to find out there weren't any so opted for an apple juice. I ordered orange juice and could tell right away it was straight from a carton not fresh. Ordered a Mexican style omelet and my partner a banana cinnamon pancakes. Pancakes came out burnt with way too much cinnamon that made the meal dry. My omelet was the saltiest meal ever we both could not finish our meals. I also tried ordering sourdough toast I of course asked if they had any waitress said yes (I know not most places have it) she then came back and told me they didn't have any so I just opted for white bread. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles. He ate his entire dish and didn't find it to be anything special. He said it did not taste bad, but it was "very basic and bland". The chicken definitely looked like it could have been crispier. I am all about trying out a breakfast sandwich whenever I get the chance. I was excited try their breakfast sandwich. It consisted of two eggs, turkey bacon, and American cheese between two mini waffles. It also came with a generous helping of maple syrup. Honestly, if the maple syrup did not come with the sandwich, I do not think I would have finished it. There was not anything necessarily wrong with my sandwich, but it just fell flat for me. The flavors kind of mushed together. I would have liked the savory flavors to be more stronger. Overall, this is a basic breakfast place to go to when you're looking for simple flavors.
