This us our second visit and probably the last We were seated by a charming gentleman. Our server Nicole took our orders but never asked us about drinks. The gentleman that seated us brought us water. My husband ordered eggs and fresh fruits. At first he said they were OK but then said they were overcooked for overcast. My onion soup was lukewarm. I was going to send it b ack but was afraid it would be boiling. This is the first time EVER that I have had french onion soup without cheese. No cheese. This place serves a mean breakfast! We flew in on a red eye and were searching for somewhere open at 6:45a. My dad recommended we stop at George's as he used to frequent it while working night shifts when they were a 24 hour establishment. They've trimmed their hours since COVID, but were open at 7a with hot coffee brewed! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. It was clear that others in the restaurant were all regulars- a good sign! The interior is renovated and tastefully decorated. It doesn't look or feel like a diner at all. My dad got country fried steak with a side of pancakes- one of his favorites from his past visits. My husband got skirt steak and eggs with pancakes as his side. He ate the entire plate and raved about it that entire day. I got the hollandizzle skillet, which was absolutely massive, with a side of pancakes. In Lockport for the afternoon and tried out George's because of their high Yelp review. We were not disappointed! Our waitress Nancy was wonderful and gave us the best service. We started with the saganaki, which was delicious. My husband had the walleye and I had the Greek chicken. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and very juicy. The walleye was flaky and cooked perfectly. In addition to the delicious Greek potatoes, vegetables and soup/salad, our meals included dessert! I have been here many times with my family. Food is usually pretty good and prices are decent. The elderly host at the front is the nicest person there. The servers seemed beyond rushed, annoyed to be serving and seem to generally dislike their jobs. I went with my 12 year old daughter for a bday lunch and had the worst experience yet. The nice elderly man sat us and took our drink orders, a kiddie cocktail for my daughter and a pop for me. After receiving our drinks a very rude waitress came over and loudly accused me of giving my daughter alcohol. And proceeded to then question the elderly man if it was alcohol very loudly as if my answer was not sufficient. He had put it in the wrong glassware that is typically reserved for bloody Mary's. This waitress is obviously in the wrong business , having many years of experience with the service industry myself I have never spoken to anyone in such a manner as I was here. Not even an apology. In the future the proper and common sense way to handle a situation such as this would be to go to the other employees and confirm that there is not alcohol in the glass. You never walk up and start accusing a mother and her young daughter of drinking and breaking the law. All of this could have been avoided and now I don't think we will ever return, a shame. I know there are very slim options for servers now but you may want to rethink who is representing your business. read more

We were very good customers. we came to George's at least once a week. Today we are here for lunch, and I found a black hair in my coleslaw. They could have cared less. Our waiter said it couldn't be his since he is bald, and he told us it happens. If that is what happens here, I wonder what else is going on in the kitchen. Their attitude just is terrible. I've lived in the area for about a decade and this was my first time at George's - I wish I had tried it sooner! We were looking for a brunch place on a Sunday after 2pm, and most places were closing at 3pm. George's was open all day, so we decided to try it. The place is cute inside, the service was really good (great server!), and the food was delicious. In fact, the cream of chicken soup was so good that I ordered 2 bowls to go for a meal later this week! No one in our 5 person party - including a picky child - was disappointed. Yesterday was our first ever visit, my wife had eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns and rye toast. I had a spinach and feta cheese omlette with hash browns and Texas toast. The service is welcoming and excellent, the coffee is as smooth as silk! the feta cheese in my omlette was the best I've ever had. My wife enjoyed hash browns in the form of a patty, her rye toast was not toasted enough and not buttered as she had requested. Overall a very nice experience. We will be back. read more

This place is busy on Sunday morning but the staff is friendly and it's a short weight. The coffee is delicious and you get your own pot on the table. The butter and syrup are also already there so you can enjoy your food as soon as it gets to the table. The food is good and servings are big. I recommend the pancakes and I don't usually like pancakes. It's busy and I can see why. read more

My mom and I were in the area and just looking for a nice family style restaurant so we decided to give George's a try. Boy were we ever so glad we did! We loved everything about the experience from the greeting at the front lobby to the waitress and then the delicious Greek style chicken we ate! The portions are very generous plus you get soup or a salad and dessert with it. Plenty of food for a very reasonable price. We are already looking forward to going back again and trying some of their other menu choices. I am gluten-free and they had a lot of selections for me as well on their gluten-free menu.
