On Wednesday June 5th I had an amazing dinner here with my friends; we were celebrating our 30th anniversary as a gaming group. The food was impeccable, the crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, and Caesar salad appetizers were divine; and the NY Strip and Bison ribeye were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed it so much we were late to the movie next door. Personally, I wanted to praise Kayla on her service which went far Above and Beyond what was expected. The service overall was terrific, but Kayla made us feel like we were family! If you have the opportunity, make sure to ask for her, you won't regret it! I had reservations, yet still ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. Our server was friendly, but the overall pace of service was very slow. My steak had good flavor, but it was cooked all the way through instead of the medium-rare I ordered. The biggest issue -- and honestly something I've never experienced before -- was finding a piece of gum in the dessert. That's completely unacceptable from any restaurant, let alone one I had high expectations for. Just went there yesterday before the Keb Mo show at the rialto theater. Ambiance is nice, we were seated upstairs. Waiter (jaymz?) Was friendly and efficient. I ordered the oysters and the 30day aged ribeye. She had the steak sliders which were good. My steak, although it was good and cooked properly (medium rare) was not as tender as a $90.00 steak should be. I think it was most likely a choice grade, not prime. I guess I should have asked before ordering about the grade. Usually steakhouses that offer prime will mention it and this place doesn't specify. Overall, 4 stars. Save your money and go elsewhere. I've been to this restaurant three different times and unfortunately, I was disappointed each and every time. It is mind blowing that a "high-end"restaurant is unable to get a steak cooked to proper temperature. All of our proteins were incorrectly cooked, and the manager was unapologetic. This wasn't one meal one time this was multiple meals on multiple occasions. They never even offered to take back and replace the overcooked protein. They simply offered 10% off the item that was mis prepared. Terrible food, and terrible service. Yes it looks pretty and probably takes a nice Instagram photo but when I pay premium prices, I expect premium food and that's just not what they're serving here. read more

We started off with appetizers: the crab cakes for me, the Fishermans Grill for him. Both very good. Entrees were the 32oz Porterhouse and the Caprese Chicken. Again, both were good; not *amazing*, not "we absolutely must come here again"; just good. We decided to skip dessert until our server said he wanted to give us an anniversary treat. So we waited for that to come out. And waited. and waited. and waited. Finally told him to skip it and just give us the bill. Dessert finally came out just as we were giving our server our credit card to pay. Overall, the food was average at best. The service was ridiculously slow (we were seated by 5:50 and didn't leave until 8:15 even though it wasn't packed. 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 drinks. 2 1/2 hrs. ). Our server was nice, but there was obviously an issue in the kitchen based on the pace of our meal. Lastly, the prices may read "upscale restaurant: dress appropriately"; but the staff/host does not enforce, which kind of kills the whole vibe for me. Stopped in before a concert at the Rialto to have appetizers and drinks and we're told if we were from the concert venue. We were not welcome and asked us to leave. Let's start by mentioning our server John E. Night started with a glitch at the bar. Bartender was working alone, and was crazy busy, and overwhelmed, which affected our service, and it carried over to our table. That's when John sprung into action. He took some bad drinks back without any problems, and made sure everyone was satisfied. I should mention that there were 12 of us. All smooth from that point on. John knew the menu and the specials in extreme detail. The food was amazing, but my favorite was the oysters, wow! Everything was delicious, and we all left satisfied. We celebrated my birthday on Saturday. We had the rockefeller oysters and shark bites for appetizers which were phenomenal. Then we had the dry aged ribeye steak with Parmesan crust along with red potatoes, wild rice and brussel sprouts. A meal that is an experience in itself. For dessert we had the turtle cheesecake and complimentary birthday dessert - chocolate lava cake which were both deliciously made. The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting. Top-notch dining experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this place! The scallops are some of the best I've tasted and they have a huge selection of wine and drinks. Had a last minute date night with the husband & decided to give this place a shot. Let me start out by saying I'm giving the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 because of the waitress. I'll explain that below. Started out with the Cut 158 Oysters. Very good and flavorful. Nice presentation. Only mention is the green onions they put on top as a garnish, they should make sure they don't cut/use the white part of the bulb on the onion, kind of overpowers the oyster. Choice of side salad or caesar came withe entree. Husband asked if the side was the house salad they offered on the menu, and the waitress said yes. For the record, no, it is not the house salad that is on the menu. It's literally just greens. I had the caesar and it was very good. Little too much dressing but didn't mind. We had already ordered our entrees when I hear the table next to us get told about the specials they had for the evening. Which sounded incredible & I def would had ordered if we were told about them.. Waitresses loss, the special was about $30 more than my meal and I would have gotten it. Why weren't we told? Guess I could have asked, but who goes out and asks if they have specials? To me, we should just be told The entrees were good husband had the bison filet and mashed - I had a regular 6oz filet and double baked potato. Double baked was excellent and steaks were cooked to perfection. Overall, I feel like the waitress ruined our experience there. She wasn't very personable AT ALL and I feel like that can really make or break your overall experience dining out. I ordered 2 different drinks, and ended up with two of the same. Hate to say she didn't care but our overall feeling about her was she didn't want to be there or just didn't like us for some reason. Another downfall- girl clearing plates tried to take our appetizer away before we were even done. Came with six oysters. There was still two left on the plate and she went to grab it and we had to tell her no. After we were done with our salads, I was eating a piece of bread and my salad plate got taken away so I could eat bread and get the crumbs all over the table. I don't mind clearing the tables, she was doing her job, but asking first to see if we were done would be nice. Probably will be back, but def do not want that same waitress. read more

Last night we ordered Oysters Rockefeller... they told us they ran out of them (Disappointment). BUT they still charged us for them! We didn't notice until we got home. I called and talked to the manager, Sophia and she said she would leave a $20 bill for me behind the hostesses stand. I understand mistakes happen but CUT158 should have done more for the inconvenience. They try to be an upscale restaurant but make sure to CHECK YOUR RECEIPT before paying.
