A good place for cheap ass beer. It might be the most affordable place in Joliet to get hammered. Judge's Bar doesn't judge if it appears you may be drinking a lot. Cool old school feeling place that feels like it could have been the middle of last century where hard working fellows went after work to have some good suds and fun. They have some of the cheapest beer including Heileman's Old Style. It doesn't have much to look at here. Pretty much a typical looking dive bar with longtime regulars. They have obviously found something special about it and I think I know what. Cheap beer. It may be the cheapest place in Joliet. There seems to be a crowd of regulars who agree about this. Happy hour is the best. They're even cheaper if that's even possible. Heileman's Old Style is here. It's $1.25 for a pint. That's crazy cheap for all this. Also cheap ass cocktails. The wells are popping at happy hour. Good place for watching some ball games. It has lots of cheap suds and is a classic place for regulars to hang out. So I try this place again bc people tell me I might of just had a bad experience. So, I go there sober as a squirrel. Order a round of shots ( 3 shots ) and a beer. I then order 1 more beer and 1 shot. I get my tab and I'm charged 5 shots and 1 beer. When I questioned it they acted like they don't know what I was talking about. I cut my night short. The red headed girl bartender, Monty and Ryan are the only reason I go there. Everyone else scams you. Might have to find a new neighborhood bar. Really tired of being over charged. read more

Don't go on Wednesdays if you're of color We dealt with an extremely drunk, racist, and aggressive bartender on the night of April 17. We walked in and ordered drinks , I went with a canned spritzer and immediately were stared down by the bartender as he made passive aggressive comments about assholes coming in nonstop , this was after asking what we could buy to get to the $15 card minimum,I was told "figure it the fuck out" Throughout the experience , we kept getting comments made and verbally abused the entire time We will not be coming back here and urge others to spend your money at a non racist establishment! First time coming here. I've passed this bar plenty of times but have never walked inside. I finally took a chance and I was really happy I came here. The inside feels really vintage and like I was sent back in time. They got great drinks, they are sold at great prices, it's got a great vibe and it's in the heart of this small city. I recently has a horrible experience at this facility. The bartender Amber was not welcoming at all. She wasn't even busy and stood around for most of the time we were waiting, and the fact that we weren't even acknowledged really upset me. She was unapproachable and very rude. When asked questions she just seemed to be very sharp and could careless to answer. I also over hear her make judgmental comments about other customers. She made us feel that we should not have been there at all. I will not be returning when she is on shift. I do have to say that my experience there with Anthony and Monty have always been pleasant. read more

This is more of a response to lil "Gustavo G": So I was there on 4/17, and I'm a whole black woman, and the bartender was 100% sober and not at all racist. You came in wanting a long island, and got mad that you couldn't close your tab out being under the minimum limit for a card transaction (which is clearly posted on the bar), demanded that you be double served the same drink (which is illegal if you know what's in a Long Island), and slammed your glass on the bar demanding another drink after you chugged the first one. So before you call somebody a "racist drunk" have your story straight and learn how to be an adult. I have never been served by a more professional and courteous bartender like him, and deserves all the stars! The atmosphere was amazing and you decided to be a total jerk to the bartender. I went to Judge's tonight to hang out with a group of friends and although I am not the booze hound I once was, we still had a great time! Judge's is a pretty chill bar with a very friendly staff. They have plenty of beer on tap, darts, a pool table, and multiple TVs to watch sports. They even show the UFC fights. If you are in the area for a show or the casino you could also grab a drink here and hang out with your friends. Another perk is the plethora of free parking after 6 pm. read more

This the best little dive bar in Joliet and most surrounding areas. Great tavern atmosphere, great selection of beers. The bartenders are friendly and welcoming. My Wednesday night tender was Monty who was great. He welcomed me like an old friend and made me feel more than welcome. Drinks were competitively priced. OK, Ok I know I am not a bar person. But lots of people are. People I know and love and who were meeting here on Tuesday night. What's a non bar gal to do? Well join them, duh! This is a very relaxed bar, I didn't even have to wear anything sparkly. Plus there is plenty of free parking across the street in the parking garage, it's free after 6pm. Yay! It was a fun place to just hang out with my former teacher friends. (Yes, teachers drink sometimes but don't tell anyone.) I had wanted to come earlier in the month for their special ladies night. What better place can you go to when you're in a dive town? A dive bar and this place rocks. The bartender was friendly the drinks were tasty and cheap and the locals were great people to converse with throughout the night. I was at Judge's on Tuesday 3/31/15 and I had to wait for the bartender to finish dancing with some random guy to get a drink because her friend behind the bar didn't know how to make my drink. Then even though the sign read that the bar closed at 2am, last call was done at 1:15. At 1:30 the bartender Lauren and apparently her sister, Sarah who said she's the bar manager (who I've never seen there and I'm there often) became hostile cussing and yelling for everyone to leave because they wanted to leave early. Sara even referred to a patron female as "biggums". While lauren snatched a over half full beer from a male patron yelling "get the f*** out now". These two ladies were very unprofessional and downright mean yelling amd screaming at every one. I'd highly recommend avoiding this bar on Tuesday's! read more
