Chocolate Flourless Mousse Cake

Good food. Service was a little slow but everyone was friendly and nice. Nice patio on a beautiful spring night but we sat inside (which could be why the service inside was a little slow since the patio was packed and probably where most of the staff were). Food was great. Loved the sauce on the salmon. Wine was perfect and the cocktails we tried were good. Upscale sports bar feeling. The booth was roomy and comfy. Liked the music and decor.

I haven't been to Cadence Kitchen in over a year. I forgot how much I like the food at Cadence. We sat in the dining room this visit. They have a large bar when you walk in and a couple dining areas. In the warmer months there's a patio outside. Anna was our server and she provided great service. We just stopped in for a quick bite after a wake in town so we just ordered our two entrées with no appetizers or cocktails. My husband had the steak sandwhich. It was a decent size piece of thick steak cooked to perfection on crusty rustic loaf with a side of french fries. I had the bison burger, but asked not to have the barbecue sauce. The burger was huge, cooked to perfection and tasty. It also came with fries. One of my favorite restaurants is Foxtail, which is a sister restaurant to Cadence so it's no surprise that this is a restaurant I enjoy dining at.

Service was fantastic as were the food and cocktails! The place was adorable and we had a giant booth to ourselves to enjoy the evening.

Rigatoni with Pesto

We had a lovely time at dinner tonight. The server was upbeat and helpful. The restaurant was clean and in good repair with a dark, clubby atmosphere. I had the Rigatoni with Pesto and it was amazing! Very, very flavorful and a large portion. My husband had the Lemon Shrimp appetizer which he enjoyed. We all shared the Oreo Ice Cream sandwich and the Apple dessert that looked like an Apple dumpling - wonderful!

This place had been on my list of restaurants to try, so I decided to give them a visit. Located near the dg train station, there is parking out front. However, it states 2 hour parking until 6 pm. They have happy hour specials from 3 to 5 pm. Beer, cocktails, and appetizers are on the list. I had the girl on fire, and it was spicy from the jalepeno. We sat inside, and it was spacious. The booth was super comfy. The service was great. She was very attentive. They also have plenty of outdoor seating as well. They played a lot of 80s music on my visit. Give them a shot!

We stopped by the area to listen to some music nearby at the train stop. We figured we'd grab dinner beforehand. It was fairly busy outside, but we were the only customers inside. It was relaxing and quiet. The booth we sat in was super comfy. After the hostess sat us and gave us menus, our waitress gave us a happy hour menu that the hostess didn't mention. We ordered 2 drinks because of that! I ordered the cobb salad with chicken. The salad was huge, flavorful dressing, and plenty of tomatoes and bacon. Overall, we had a great experience.

Crab Beignets

That was the best salmon I've had in a very long time. Cooked perfectly with a delicious honey mustard sauce, sitting on a bed of farro. I could eat that daily. Loved both the crab beignets and the cauliflower apps. The accompanying sauce to the cauliflower had very flavorful fresh dill. Loved it. Enjoyed the Strawberry Fields cocktail, but the Hot Blooded didn't knock my socks off. There are plenty of drinks to try next time though. With excellent food and service, plus a chill atmosphere, there will definitely be a next time.

Speaks for itself.

Bottom Line: If you like overpaying your very hard earned money for just an ok experience, dressed up to make you feel like you should pay more for it--this is the place for you. The homegrown, local guys done good story of this place is actually inspiring and I wanted so much to love it. The good service is the high point followed by the eclectic, trendy urban warehouse chic, sports bar-ish environment with lots of dark, warm hues making it very inviting. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and looked forward to its great promise. The place was bustling inside and out on a very nice early summer evening. I was feeling more inside so I opted in and was seated near the bar and able to see the games. Consequently, I was feeling like a really good beer and burger, a satisfying experience to kick off the weekend. To my chagrin the beer on-tap menu, an opportunity show the depth of personality of a place, is uninspiring and it looks like they've thrown their effort behind $12 per (min.) cocktails and wines with impressive (in range) but very over pricey in cost per glass or bottle. When you're at nearly 20 bucks for "smalls" with sort of pretentious titles, you know you're in for a hit to the 'ole wallet but ok let's see how it goes. I settled for a Yuengling that stood out conspicuously from the standard golden Pilsner or IPA offerings with the obligatory lone Guinness as a dark offering. I started with the $12 soup of the day--cream of asparagus per the the server, but had more of a navy bean texture that was quite good though paltry in portion at that price. It went nicely with the Yuengling. So, anything named "House Burger" , to me, has got to be good right? That one unassuming but distinct opportunity for the kitchen to flex their gastronomic muscle in an unpretentious but expert way. I ordered the $20 house burger with cheddar. It came out promptly looking as mechanically put together as its presentation--yeah--if you're gonna hit me for $20 bucks for a hamburger I want presentation. I got a hamburger on a cold white plate with dried out "frites", in a stainless steel cup though, and a few lonely cucumbers on the side. I will say the burger was done well, juicy, but nothing unusual in the way of seasoning, or sauce, or...bacon?!...an egg?!!...anything that would justify its price tag but more importantly make it worthy of the moniker "House Burger." Finished the sandwich, paid the bill and left. So that's it, the meal and experience was short, and efficient but wholly unsatisfying in terms of what I received in exchange for my money. Will I and the rest of my party be back? Not likely unless someone else is willing to pay. There are too many other options that understand this premise: We don't need or want pretentious trappings or entree titles, we want unpretentious but well prepared dishes at unpretentious prices, a good value, a good experience, and we will come back time and time again. One note, I think it says something about a place that doesn't claim their business on this site, especially a place like this that is heavily commented upon. It says, at least hints, they couldn't care less what you personally think, which, I can also understand if you've got plenty of patrons willing to buy what you're selling but that perception can often come through in the business interactions. This is why I also read the one and two star reviews for keepin' it real perspective.

It was love when we first stepped into the restaurant. Very industrial and eclectic styles meeting to create a modern, cozy atmosphere to enjoy dinner with friends. The food was amazing here and I'm glad we came with a big group to taste a little bit of everything. I wish I wasn't recovering from acid reflux or else I could've had more to eat! I ordered the ribeye which was cooked to perfection and I took this with me so I can eat it later. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were my favorite appetizers out of everything we tried. By the way, this place has great cocktail options to try! Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised! Our server was very friendly and accommodated our large group. Definitely recommend!

Crab Beignets

My husband & I had dinner last night. The whole experience was awesome from the start. We chose to eat inside, I was given a table but was moved to a booth that opened in the bar area. (Had requested a booth on reservation). I started with a drink WaterMelon Sugar on recommendation from our server. It was so fresh with a little sweet, we chose the Crab beignets & whipped Ricotta w/ Honey as apps.. Both were delicious, the beignets were generously filled w/ crab. For the mains I had Shrimp w/ Crispy Polenta. I thought polenta was like grits but it was more like a bread. It was really good, my hubby got the BBQ Bison Burger & he ate every last crumb. For dessert we had the Peach pies w blueberry ice cream & compote. I have never had peach pie but I want it again!!!! We will definitely be back for dinner. Such a great place. Great service & great food is hard to find.

Lobster Poppers

Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Today was a top ten meal that I have ever had! From beginning to end, the entire experience was superb! We walked into a tasteful, hip restaurant and were warmly greeted by the hostess. Our server was incredible knowledgeable about the creative menu. There were so many unique dishes to choose from, it was hard to pick! We ordered the lobster poppers and Spanish octopus small plates for the table (both out of this world!! Filled with so much flavor!) For dinner I got the butternut squash risotto with duck confit. Creamy risotto with broccolini and crispy, moist duck. Truly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Every bite was a treat! If you're looking for a place with a warm and inviting climate, amazing staff, and out of this world unique food, look no further than Cadence! A true GEM!

Everything we ordered came out cooked to perfection, and every dish had such unique, incredible flavors. You can really tell how much care goes into the food. We especially love coming for happy hour -- the half-off appetizers are such a great deal and never disappoint. Our waiter was so sweet and made the night extra special by letting my husband pick one dessert for free, which was such a thoughtful touch. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was flawless. We can't wait to come back!

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.
