Chicken Tender BLT Sandwich - 100% Raw Chicken
JJ J.

Unreal. Ordered the chicken tender blt sandwich for my wife through Grubhub. She ate part of the sandwich then realized it was chewier than chicken should be. She opened the breading and 2 tenders in the sandwich 100% raw. Unacceptable, clearly whoever is cooking the food does not quality check everything before it goes out. Absolutely disgusted and angry. Would give this zero stars if possible.

For a hotel restaurant it was pretty good. The food was nice, it came quickly and was nice and fresh. It also had nice hours, 11pm on week days. I visited the restaurant both nights I stayed at the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant…read more We made a reservation on their website. On a Friday night we were able to get a patio seat and enjoy the nice weather. They have a nice lounge area on the patio as well to enjoy drinks. I had enchiladas. I like that they give you the option to choose two. They also let me get no shrimp in the chicken & shrimp enchilada. I appreciate their flexibility. My husband had the tacos. He chose the three he wanted. There were plenty of options. Positives: -variety of food on the menu -flexibility and accuracy -huge patio and lounge area - kids meal: good options, very reasonable price, includes milk. My son had a chicken quesadilla, mac and cheese, and corn. We also added the churro sundae. He loved it! -good happy hour deals 3-6pm -friendly service I would come back!

I enjoy the light feeling that hits you upon walking in while at the same time knowing that the place is just as beautiful at night. We were sat down quickly and our waiter Gianna met us promptly. We ordered drinks and began conversation. I ordered the cucumber lime drink, while my coworker order the pineapple and coconut drink. When our drinks arrived, our waiter sat them in front of the wrong people and that made for a doozy. We placed our orders and noticed that our waiter was the only one serving about 3-4 tables during the lunch hour! I ordered the barria tacos with black beans and refried beans. The refried beans didn't taste very good, but the black beans were flavorful and complimented the meal well. The Barria tacos were dry and then it hit us that we were not given the consommé that goes with our meal. I also ordered a side of chicken tortilla soup.......it was served lukewarm to cold. Unfortunately it didn't taste good and I sent it back. I won't write Ancho & Agave off just yet, but I'm going to keep a watch for improvements on my next visit.

Our food was wonderful, with appropriate pacing. We celebrated an early Father's Day, and the restaurant had some decorations at the table, along with a couple of complimentary desserts. To celebrate the occasion the hostess placed sparkly confetti as well as a card that said "cheers" on the table before we arrived. Very nice attention to detail. We were seated in the main dining area and could easily see the open kitchen. Tim our server was very nice although he did forget my salad and took forever to take our initial orders, other than that he was good. The Manhattan was perfect - not too sweet and ice cold. Bread service was great - warm poppy seed, onion and pumpernickel breads as well as some crispy flatbread type of cracker. We enjoyed the fried calamari with peppers (plenty of those!) which didn't even need a dipping sauce they had enough flavor on their own. My better half had a cup of the lobster bisque and it was flavorful however it had too much flour as a thickener so it coated the mouth with a bit of pastiness. The two boys had a dry aged New York strip and a bone in rib eye. Both were well seasoned honey the NY strip was really chewy at the smaller end. Bearnaise sauce was decent but not as good as my own - it needed more vinegar and tarragon. My seabass was spectacular - perfectly cooked and flaky with just the right amount of seasoning. The tiny asparagus underneath were almost laughably small! The gave our nephew a complementary mini dessert plate with a flourless chocolate cake and a cheesecake - nice touch!

As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles and a gracious welcome. Award-winning managers Jack and Mike also checked in with us periodically throughout the evening, which was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Our table was beautifully decorated with red roses, celebratory sprinkles, elegant gold chargers, matching napkin rings, and a handwritten anniversary card. We were also welcomed with a glass of champagne! These thoughtful and classy touches made us feel truly celebrated. Our server, Terre, was outstanding--charismatic, warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire evening. We began in the bar, enjoying Happy Hour from 4:30-6:00 p.m. We sampled several appetizers, including incredibly fresh oysters and delicious tempura lobster bites. From there, we transitioned into an amazing dinner featuring a bone-in ribeye, lobster tail, and decadent lobster mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious! At 6:30pm an 2 piece band played listening to smooth jazz. Very nice... To finish the evening, we enjoyed delicious bananas Foster--a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and thoughtful anniversary touches made this a truly memorable celebration. Thank you, Eddie V's and Terre, for making our anniversary so special! We'll definitely be back! I give you 5 forks! 5 stars on food, service and ambiance
