The chilaquiles are elite! They are a bit spicy but everything was so flavorful and delicious-a perfect plate. Service was great and a very cute space!

Went to here on a Sunday around 9:30 am and didn't have a wait to get a table. We were greeted when we walked in the door and the staff was friendly! We ordered a coffee and orange juice. I had asked for fresh squeezed OJ but unfortunately they were out. We did not take advantage of the bottomless mimosas this time, but they do have that offer during brunch. We ordered the big breakfast plate and sausage and egg panini. The food was good and came out pretty quickly. Average prices for a brunch place! I recommend this spot for a good brunch place but giving it 4 stars as it wasn't anything over the top or extravagant compared to other brunch places.

This restaurant is a little hidden gem ! The menu has a great selection of delicious dishes. I try to make it once a month but that doesn't always happen. I'm just going to say this, you will not walk out without a smile from a nice time from good food and drink...

No complaints about parking or the walk. Boom, we were there. Now, where it gets interesting. You walk in the building's front door, and it opens up to a room where you can access several businesses. Josephine's is straight to the back. It's very dark, smelly, and loud. This totally reminded me of a dive bar on a college campus (maybe worse?). There's not much seating, especially when it gets crowded. The bar has limited seating, and the seating on the floor is even more limited. The chairs and couch are stained with who knows what. The song books for karaoke are sticky and nasty. From a great perspective, I was sitting in a chair and went to move and felt something poke me. It was a pair of random scissors! The drinks are 2/5 and prices are extremely expensive. I had a root beer float martini, and it was "meh". From a karaoke standpoint, it was decent. Lots of different people singing. Some good, some bad. It was entertaining, and some people were pretty brave, haha. Try this place if you dare. Get here early to get a seat. I don't think I'd come back. Once is enough.

They have an excellent bar up front and make great cocktails- my husband and dad both love the classic old fashion! I'm a sucker for a nice glass of Pinot Noir. If you're dining in (and you really should!) The pasta bolognese is a must have. Always amazing. And the black pepper shrimp over polenta is an amazing appetizer! So rich and delicious. These are both part of my go-to order here. Recently expanded my order and tried the short rib over polenta for the first time, it was amazing. Tender. Flavorful. Good sized portion. Wonderful. Will absolutely get again. For dessert, and there's always room for dessert here in my opinion, I love to get the rich panna cotta. This past time though we got the butterscotch budino, which was smooth and rich without being overly sweet. It was perfect to share (or not)! Just enough hint of butterscotch and topped with a crumbled shortbread cookie to an add a little crunch to the otherwise creamy treat. The staff is always helpful in making recommendations to suit your tastes too! There is a call ahead wait list and they've also started taking reservations. By the time we were ready to be seated the place was hopping and nearly full, we asked for first available. Were seated immediately outside and service was always prompt. There's so much on the menu, my vegetarian friend had plenty to choose from and loved their gnocchi dish with veggies. I loved my salmon with fingerling potatoes and veggies. Fire + Wine will definitely be getting return visits from us!

It works like this: They have about 100 wines set up to taste in a semi-circle around the store. A woman at the door checked our IDs, took our $5, and gave us a list of wines at each station. Everything being tasted was on sale for the day -- a minimum of 5% off with bigger discounts for larger quantities, up to 24% off. And then we were handed our "Wine Thing" wine glass (not to keep, alas) and a small bag of pretzels and headed in. This is not a huge store, so it was pretty crowded. But the people pouring the wines were as friendly and helpful as they could be, given the circumstances. And everyone was nice enough about letting people by, lubed up with good wine. Still, we had to emerge from the crowd every so often to get a little fresh air. But besides simply having more space for this event -- or maybe doing timed tickets or something? -- it's a GREAT way to taste a ton of wines from knowledgeable people and find a new favorite or two. :)
