On Monday, 7/13/20, my son asked to try this location on Route 59, as we were treated differently and poorly at the other location on 7/4/20 at the Freedom Drive and Diehl Road as if we didn't belong there as the employees weren't welcoming towards us. When we walked into the restaurant the employees stared at us; didn't speak and acted weirdly. But, other people of different color walked in after us, and oh my goodness, the employees happily acknowledged and welcomed them right away! I could not believe it! How RUDE! These employees treated us just awful! We ordered our food, and left. We would never return to that location! No way!!! Now back to our experience on 7/13/20 at the Route 59 location. My son and I walked in, the employees weren't welcoming either. The employees appeared odd, stressed and working in an assembly line lead by the man handing the meat, and a woman stated 8 ounces of pulled pork. I didn't understand why she was telling me that since no other bbq restaurant does that, then the man looked at me weirdly while saying loudly 8 ounces. I responded, okay I guess. After that things went down hill. A woman and cashier were just beginning to place the food into a brown paper bag. I had ordered almost $40.00 of food, and right before paying, I politely asked if they would add barbecue sauce onto my pulled pork, and they said no! I asked to speak to the manager, and the lady said she was the manager. She was one of the employees being rude to me, so I said, wow you're the manager! I was surprised by her rudeness, negative and unprofessional attitude that I asked for the General Manager instead of speaking with her. She didn't respond. So I told her to cancel my order. I only paid for my Son's food. I told her she didn't have to be so rude, that all I asked is if they would put bbq on my pull pork and nothing else. After the way I was treated, I immediately lost my appetite. I told her I do not want my order! Take it off! I will not support this restaurant!!! That I will go to Popeyes Chicken instead!!! It's clear to me and my son that Sharkos restaurant is consistently rude towards certain people of color as we experienced rudeness at both locations! We won't be back! Our money is no good at Sharkos! Now, there's a giant pink pig on the corner of the route 59 location trying extremely hard to get customers! Wow!!! How about firing your rude employees, and hiring and training new employees how to demonstrate excellent customer service to everyone no matter who they are, and you wouldn't have to beg such a huge diverse area to stop, look and come inside to buy your food from those nasty rude employees!!! Good luck Sharkos! We won't be back. I will not support a business that mistreated us!!! I guess your employees forgot that without happy repeated customers, there's no Sharkos!!! It's a shame your huge pink pig has to sit baking in the hot sun the way the other stuffed animal did on such a busy intersection! If your employees treated everyone with respect and the experience was great you wouldn't need a huge pig sitting there looking ridiculous as if your employees are on strike, when they've caused customers to go on strike due to their nasty, poor customer service! Shame on your employees!!! The food isn't that great; nothing spectacular. You'll need a tooth pick to get tough rib meat out of your teeth every time you eat them! I wouldn't have nobody destroying my customer experience and profit like that! We won't be back!!! "ZERO stars"!!! read more
