Oh my gosh. Please do something about the horrendous noise created by diners dragging the chairs at the tables. Ordered a cheeseburger which had no meal option, so I tacked on fries and a drink. Everything came out to $18 which would be manageable if the food was great, which it wasn't. To make matters worse, the young awkward cashier that took my order proceeded to cut right in front of me while I was trying to fill my drink in order to fill his own personal thermos with Pepsi.. After finally filling my drink, the lady who brought my food to the table had a slight attitude and dropped my burger onto the table with frustration. This was my first and last time here. They have a large menu with a lot of nice options. The kabobs were great! Very flavorful and well seasoned and came with a delicious rice pilaf, pita bread, and some tomato slices. One or two chunks were a little chewy but overall they were great. Anyone who left a negative review here is an entitled privileged a-hole acting like a child who didn't get to eat candy and froot loops for dinner, because I just ate here today and loved it. The guy who took our order was attentive and super accommodating when I asked to add an additional item to my order. They made their greek salad to perfection. Great portions and delicious flavor to that additional chicken I requested. My mother had the fish tacos and thought they were delicious. I haven't taken the time to do a review in a really long time. I always review the best restaurants and rarely review the worst and in my opinion, this place was the worst. This was our first time there and we didn't know what to expect. We always just saw a lot of cars there so we assumed the food was good, we took a chance and man were we wrong! First thing that happened to me when I walked in the door was the overwhelming stench of a truck stop smelly bathroom is the only way that I can describe it. It's the smell of the cheaply used deodorizer in the bathroom. It was so strong, it hit you when you walked in the door That alone, should have made me run out the door. The menu was overwhelmingly large which tells you that most of the food comes pre-frozen. I don't think anything is made fresh there. I had the fish tacos. they weren't bad they just had no seasoning whatsoever. Salt couldn't even save them. My husband had the barbecue bacon burger, which he said the meat was not seasoned and he didn't think it was real beef because it didn't taste like meat. It was just a messy burger nothing special. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks, which literally look like ! The outside was so hard I actually had to use a knife to get through it. The outside batter looked old, almost frost bitten, really unedible. The cheese was OK. The sauce came from a jar. We are family new to the area so we've been trying all the restaurants around us that we can. This one really made an impact on me of how poor the quality of food was and how low our standards have really become, but this is all just my opinion. Overall place was not crowded and the order was taken really fast. Unfortunately for my experience everybody in my table received their order with the exception of me. After a while I stood up and went to the counter to see what was taken so long, and it turns out they never received the ticket to start my order. I had the Santa Fe salad, and we tried the pull pork sandwich. The pull pork sandwich was really dry. Salad was ok, and the pull pork sandwich was extremely dry and no BBQ sauce. We also tried the Baked potato and cream of rice soup of the day, and the better soup by far is the baked loaded potato. Husband had lunch from this place catered at his office and liked it so we stopped in this weekend. Definitely recommend the ribs and brisket, the brisket is delicious! And it's hard to find good brisket. I'd skip the Mac and cheese and try a different side. The corn bread is good. Fries are ok, but I would try something else next time. It always comes out so hot that we have to let it sit for about 10 minutes before it is cool enough to eat. I went to this restaurant recently out by Fox Vally and this had to be the worst experience. The ribs paid over $80 for three meals. The ribs tasted like beef jerky. They were so old they told us they were made to order. There's no way these ribs are made to orderstick with Portillo's not worth the money. There's a reason they're parking lot was empty. Beyond the huge ordering boards, you proceed down the hall to the ordering line, After you order, turn around and face the soda fountains to get your drink, and walk beyond those to get to the dining room. Easy restaurant set up, no thinking involved! I chose the easy route and picked the first thing on the menu: their famous rotisserie chicken. Even this simple item comes with three choices: original, BBQ, or garlic flavor. Beyond that, you choose how you want your potato side: fried, baked, or mashed. Your order comes with a huge piece of bread, butter, coleslaw, and a side plate for bones and a wet wipe. I ordered the quarter-sized BBQ chicken and I'm so glad I picked this size instead of the half -- it was more than enough food for one person. I really liked the chicken, it was tender and cooked well, falling off the bone easily. I didn't care much for the sauce as it didn't seem very unique, just a generic BBQ sauce...next time I would probably just go for the original flavor. All in all, a reasonably priced meal for lunch!
