My first great impression of this place was when I called ahead and was told that they will switch one their TVs to the Cubs game so that we could watch it at the same time as the first World Cup game! The atmosphere is awesome here! I loved the dark colors and spacious seating. It's a great place to catch a game, but more upscale than a typical sports bar. Our server was great and was very friendly and attentive. We ordered calamari and then pizza and everything was delicious. Next time I want to try the poke nachos! NOTE: happy hour is 3-6 on weekdays, half price apps and pizzas. They have a huge selection of beer including some N/A choices. Definitely something for everyone. Came to Yard House for a business dinner. Since we had a pretty large group, they offered a set menu that we could order from. I started with the salted watermelon margarita, which was tasty and refreshing with a nice fruity flavor. It wasn't overly strong, making it easy to sip throughout the meal. For appetizers, we shared the spinach dip, calamari, and buffalo bites. The spinach dip was good, and the chips had a nice salty crunch. The calamari was pretty standard, but there was way too much breading, the squid-to-breading ratio was way off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The menu description mentioned quinoa and brown rice, but they were practically nonexistent. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. Honestly, it was nothing special and tasted like a thawed frozen cheesecake with some cheap berry compote on the side. Overall, Yard House is a fine option for hosting large groups thanks to its spacious setup, but I wouldn't come here expecting amazing food. The good about this place, the happy hour apps and pizza are nice. The beer, is as expected, has a big assortment and is very good. The appetizer burgers are not worth 1/2 price, they are dried out with just a sliver of cheese, just terrible. The Chicken lettuce wraps, a lot of wraps and very little chicken, not enough to cover the lettuce wraps, it's like what are they saving the chicken for? The Korean cheesesteak sandwich, this was excellent, I highly recommend this sandwich .the boneless wings, we tried them and they were good, just over breaded. So food wise, it was ok, bar food. Not a place for a good dinner. Ambiance, the place is very loud, hard to hear each other talk. Service was good until the bill came, our server Brandon wouldn't let me have the machine in which to pay, he held on to it and gave himself a 20% tip. I really love Yard House and this location has such a great atmosphere with an open air dining room right by Block 59s "yard"! I've been to your house several times and I've never been disappointed in the food. It's always fresh tasty and arrives in a timely fashion. My favorite thing to do here is loaded up on appetizers! They have such a great variety of small plates, it's so much fun to get several and share! My personal favorites are the poke nachos, firecracker shrimp and sliders! This week I tried the chicken lettuce wraps and they were also delicious with a tasty peanut sauce and just a dash of heat to boost the flavor. I've also had a burger and that was tasty too. Thursday @ 6:15. Greeted and seated promptly. Service was excellent. Ordered the Korean Cheesesteak (same thing I ordered last time, because it was just that good!). Hubby had tacos (one Korean chicken and one Carne Asada). Everything was delish. My fries were not hot, but that was the only downside to the meal. As we watched other tables around get their drinks and after asking several people to check it finally came mid dinner. Oh Yard House!!! The selection of foods is massive, but the quality is sub par. I suspect that this place is most desirable for beer lovers. If so, I completely understand. We joined the waitlist online on a Saturday night around 7:45pm. The wait time was about 30 minutes. Once we arrived, we waited about 20 more minutes. Once my friends and I were seated, we waited another 10-12 minutes for our waiter to show up. Our waiter Lexy, was bomb! This review does not reflect her service. Lexy was phenomenal!!! Lexy was honest about items in the menu that were popular and those that were not so popular. I ordered the pineapple chicken and sweet potato fries. The first set of fries were served cold. Lexy quickly took care of that! My husband ordered the 20oz Ribeye with broccoli. His first set of bróccoli was burnt, so we had to made a request to replace these as well. The pineapple chicken was phenomenal! The Firecracker Shrimp, salivating!! The ribeye was mediocre ‍. I wouldn't order a steak here if you are expecting STK and above. Expect Chilis instead. Canes with a side of beans and rice. Super tasty, better than I thought. This is in the new Block 59 location in Naperville. So many good restaurants here. Friday Happy Hour (3-6pm) got to try some appetizers and pizza for 1/2 off. Got the Spicy Za'atar hummus came with crispy crunchy pitas. Wasn't spicy to me, but very delicious and liked the seasonings they have on the pitas. Next we had the truffled pizza, was a very thin crust and it came with lots of mushrooms. Chicken nachos was really good and very large portion. Couldn't tell from the picture, but it is like 2 big plates. Chicken was cooked very well. Lots of cheese and toppings on top of the chips. Chips were light and crispy. Also had sour cream and guacamole. Even though the drinks are not part of the happy hour (Naperville rule) had to have some drinks. We actually were seated at the bar. The bar tender Michael was great at guessing the type of drink when I asked for a sweet drink, but not too sweet. Lavender drop sweet but not too sweet. Very light too. Next had the passion fruit mojito, wasn't that strong and was like juice to me. Last had ended with the Expresso martini. Was strong and definitely help keep me up all night. Place was super packed and there were a lot of waiters for a Friday night. Definitely coming back to try the other appetizers and pizzas. Oh and need to try the Sangrias. read more

We expected some minor issues which did happen but to be expected for a first night. All staff was very attentive to everything & the Managers were fantastic. Drinks were delicious and definitely something for everyone on the menu! Our food came out perfectly cooked & hot with my steak seasoned well & done exactly as ordered! The service was also great, our waiter stopped by a lot and kept refilling my water and always asked if I wanted another beer! It was approximately 3 pm and the place was pretty dead. He was standing 2 feet away talking to another table the entire time. She came over, took our orders and the manager came and apologized and said our drinks would be covered. The order came out wrong, and when we received the bill only one drink was comped. Yard House is a welcome addition for those who want options. A large drink and food menu provides you with plenty to choose from. A variety of beers, most however that are relatively local and ones that you've probably heard of before. However this Yard House is smaller in size compared to other locations with less square footage and less beers on tap. The location is convenient but the parking lot isn't exactly right outside the front door. The inside space definitely feels cramped compared to other locations. The service however is great with servers being attentive, talkative and knowledgeable about their beers. A taste of a beer is available and with bartenders who are willing to help you find something you'll like, Yard House is definitely making the customer experience a priority. However it's disappointing that this location is so small in square footage that it feels cramped. Also with less beers than other locations it makes me wonder who decided to change what was working at other locations. Less TVs at this location compared to other locations makes me think that this build was hurried with no research as to what other restaurants in the area offer. Yard House should have stuck to what they have done in other locations with a larger space, more TVs, and more beers. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is what makes this small, lacking enough TVs and too few beers location receive 5 stars. read more

Huge selection of beers - the Belgians were good. Burger was tasty and spinach dip was yummy. Huge menu with multiple options for whatever you're craving. They do not offer reservations- not sure if that would help with the large crowd of people that congregates up front waiting or not. read more

Came to the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon right around lunchtime. Restaurant was not packed but well occupied. We walked in and got a table for 2 right away. The ambience is like a sports bar. Many TV's well placed around the restaurant. Enjoyable atmosphere and not too noisy. We were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our server Silvia, who is a star, explained the dishes we were debating. She was very knowledgeable of their preparation which made it easier for us to choose. We decided on the 10 wings app with lemon pepper, the firecracker shrimp app, 20oz ribeye and the lobster garlic noodles. For drinks we had a Bloody Mary and a Lavender Lemon Drop using tequila instead of vodka. Bloody Mary was very tasty with candied bacon, olives and lime. If they added a celery stick it would've been perfect. Wifey loved the lemon drop. It came with an ice cube you normally see in an old fashioned. Lemon pepper wings were perfectly fried. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Could use more seasoning but were tasty. The firecracker shrimp was delicious. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was on point! No sauce needed. It's not the best cut of meat, like you'd expect from a Ruth Cris, but definitely worth the price. Garlic noodles were very tasty also. They could cut back a tad bit on the oil used in their preparation. All in all, we enjoyed the service and the food. We will most likely return to try other menu items that look interesting. read more

Never order food from here, pick up food order was 20 minutes late and then when I walked inside to ask if my food was ready they told me it wasn't ready. I went back outside and waited, and then when they gave me my food, I was missing food and the manager and the staff did not seem like they cared whatsoever never order food from this establishment. They will not help you at all when they mess up. My total was 110 dollars and all they did was give me a 25 dollar gift card. This whole process took 50 min and the other food was cold at this point. The food was terrible and the service was so slow. It is so extremely loud in there so it was almost impossible to hear the waiter who did not speak up. The food is frozen food that is just deep fried. Cheese curds came out almost raw where you can still taste the dough and flour. I've been to Yard House twice now, and it is DELICIOUS no matter what you get!! The cheese curds are amazing and not too greasy, steak bowl is probably the best steak i've had in a long time, and any taco you get is fresh and so flavorful. Service is always amazing, hosts and servers are very welcoming and timely, as well as managers are very helpful if needed. The place is also loaded with tvs, so it's great to go and watch some sports with the family. I don't drink beer, but everyone I know says their selection is amazing. 100% will go again and recommend this place to anyone who asks!! read more

my mom and i a few friends of ours went today for lunch. it was moderately busy, and service was a little slow. it had great atmosphere for it being a sports dive bar, but these places are usually not my go to places to eat; i tried it anyway considering i had never been. there were many things on the menu and what looked like great choice to choose from. I had ordered spicy beef garlic noodles, and it was something i probably would not order again. the beef was GREY! lazy dog from next doo has something very similar to this dish and other places as well that i've eaten, and their beef wasn't grey whatsoever. i had requested no mushrooms and found mushrooms in the plate. i texted my husband a photo of the beef because i was unsure about the color, and he told me not to eat it out of concern for my health and safety. i picked out what i could in regards to mushrooms and grey beef and ate the overcooked soggy noodles that came with it. i only had one mocktail and wasn't asked for another drink or even a water, but the other ladies i was with were asked many times about refills. really disappointed!! because i had seen and heard many great things about this place. i probably will not return and stick with restaurants who don't serve meat that seems out of code. read more
