The BBQ platter with ribs, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, fries, and toast was packed with flavor and perfect for sharing. The chicken dish with mashed potatoes and greens was also amazing and really well done. We also got dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending to the night. The service was great the entire time. Our server was especially attentive and funny, which made the experience even better and added such a fun, personal touch to the night. Overall this is such a great spot and definitely one we will keep coming back to. The empanadas were perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, the shrimp tacos were fresh and balanced, the hanger steak was cooked exactly right, and the pork shank was fall-apart tender and easily one of the best dishes we've had in a long time. The cocktails were just as good as the food, which says a lot. You can tell there's real attention to detail across the whole menu. On top of that, the space itself is beautiful. Really unique interior, great atmosphere, and an awesome view right over the river that makes the whole experience feel even more special. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. I would call this your typical Midwest comfort dish. But the star of the show was dessert of course - OMFG - s'mores ice cream sunday ....... I died and went to heaven literally. The graham cracker - yes the freaking graham cracker was the best one I've ever tasted in my life. Clearly I've never had a graham cracker without preservatives before. The chocolate syrup .... Jeeze let me tell if I could swim in it I would.... The service was friendly, prompt and right on time. The server knew all the cues and timing of all the food to come out. She checked in everytime we got something to make sure everything was just right... you can tell she takes her job seriously but also knows how to interact with people - something a lot of servers lack these days so we really appreciated the service.
