The Tucson salmon and the mushroom soup.
    April F.

I got the salmon Tucson entree with the mushroom soup. The salmon was hands down one of the best salmon dishes I had ever had. It was a ton of flavor and a lot of a creamy, hearty sauce. I had enough for two full portions and it tasted just as good the next day. The mushroom soup was also fantastic. The waitstaff was very pleasant. I liked that they served natural flavored water. I got the pineapple and mint. It was great!! I will be back soon. I took a picture after eating half.

I enjoyed my time here. I'm a person who loves avocados. Therefore, going to this restaurant was very enjoyable. Everyone was very polite. I was able to try avocado cheesecake and avocado brownie both was very delicious. They put them in bowls that look like they were made of avocado leaves. Neat. I had one of their sampler which included avocado deviled eggs, avocado egg rolls, avocado fries, and avocado tomato bruschetta. All I can say is it was very yummy. Along with their avocado colada I ended up being very full. I also ordered a avocado Buddha bowl and avocado strawberry banana smoothie. Which I ended up bringing home because I was just too full. I tried a few sips of their watermelon cucumber juice drink. It was delicious but not my favorite. Yet I've come to understand I'm just not a fan of watermelon juice yet I like watermelon. This place is located in downtown Naperville. I'll update once I try the other things that I brought home. Avocado banana strawberry smoothies. Yummmy The Buddha bowl was good. I loved the avocado dressing just needed more of it. Some pieces were A bit spicy to me. Yet, my daughter stated it was not even a bit spicy. I have a lower than low spice tolerance. Overall I enjoyed this avocado concept restaurant and I will return. Also I enjoyed how the place was decorated. It had abocado facts. And lovely avocado king mural on the wall. Having the free infused water tanks available while you wait (even for pick ups ). added to the warmth of the place.

Avocado Theory is completely awesome. I cannot brag on the whole menu, as I was just there for the sample platter, but it was 10/10. If I lived closer, I would be here regularly, as I loved the food and the vibe a ton. Obviously, if you do not like avocados, this is not the place for you. But if you do, you will love every moment. From free, whimsical stickers at the door, to avocado facts on the walls, you will embrace your avocado-loving self and enjoy the experience to the max. They even have an adorable little marketplace for fun avocado-themed items. The house sample platter, all made with avocado, includes fries, deviled egg, samosas and egg rolls. All are excellent. They are served with aioli and sweet and sour sauce. There was not a bummer in the bunch. I was especially loving the fact they don't offer sugary drinks, but instead offer two kinds of complementary flavored waters. I adore this stance so much - they explained, via signage, that they want to offer a healthier option. The fact they provide flavored water (lemon and mixed fruit) is very cool. Service was excellent in this super clean, modern space. They even have a small outside seating area. I will be back whenever I am in Naperville.

The food is where it is at, the space is where it is not. We both said that as we were leaving that we would eat there again, but get it to go. The food is where clearly the focus of Avocado Theory. We tried the sampler platter, avocado cheese cake and tacos. We would get those again in a second. The concrete floors look dingy and dirty, the tables were kind of dirty looking and the space behind the beverage area was piled with stuff. The plates were neat and appreciated learning about the leaves, but made me question if they were just tossed out or cleaned in some way. The food came out fast, but not overly friendly.

It's lacking some flavor, my avocado rice bowl did not look like the menu picture and had old guacamole. The other plates were okay. I had higher expectations. Service is fine, you order at the front. Not many people at the restaurant.

Came from brunch and everything was phenomenal. We got the avocado colada, omelette platter and the kids meal grilled cheese. You walk in and get handed a menu and can sit anywhere. You order at the cashier at the front and pay there but the really nice part is that you don't have to tip right away. Tipping is only appreciated after when service is great and the service was truly awesome. As for the food, everything was really good. I would highly recommend the omelette- it's super filling and delicious. As for the salmon toast, i think there are some tweaks they could make like better salmon quality and bigger slices of toast to make it feel like a true dish worth $18.99. It did feel like something i would throw together at home before work. But they also have complimentary water with lemon and unsweetened iced tea which was nice. I also liked that they have a tapari plate, which is a compostable plate that was fun to eat from. You can tell this is a business that's been really poured into, highly recommend supporting!

There are free stickers of cute avocado characters by the door. Place your order and you will be given a number to place on your table. They will bring the food out to you. The Flavored water is complimentary and very refreshing; cucumber water and the other is pineapple and strawberry water. Me and my friend shared the sampler and the avocado vegan chorizo wrap. The sampler had 2 of everything. Avocado fries were crispy outside and were very soft inside. Avocado deviled eggs we chose to have bacon on it, which we got lots of it and were gone in two bites. Avocado eggrolls were filled with avocado and so good. The avocado samosa were good but couldn't taste the avocado. The potatoe and peas made it very filling though. The sampler came with aioli and sweet and sour sauce. I liked the aioli sauce more, but most I had without the sauce. Next we shared the avocado vegan chorizo wrap. It was just like the photo on their website, very big and stuffed. It was sweeter and it came with a few greens in the side. So I had to tame the sweetness with the greens. There are to go containers by the flavored water/drinks area. There is no garbage can around since they will clean the table for you. Very clean inside and staff are very friendly. There is also a small merch section near the bathrooms. Please note, (for those that watch their calorie intake) on the website and menu next to the prices are the calories from fat and not the Total calories. The total calories can be found on their website a link that has the breakdown of all the ingredients for all the items on their menu.

First time trying this establishment. I love avocados so you can't go wrong. It's counter service but has ample seating, nice atmosphere to dine in but I took it to go. I tried the chicken avocado panini on sourdough bread. It came with chips. The sandwich tasted very fresh, lacking a little something so I added some giardinara when I got home. Much better but at $18, a bit pricey. Maybe with the recent increase in avocado prices but don't think I'll be back soon for that price.

We popped in for lunch after strolling around Downtown Naperville. We ordered avocado egg rolls and a salmon salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The egg rolls were crunchy and tasty. The salmon salad was generous in size, but not the most flavorful dish. It did seem healthy, though. Service was excellent. Pricing was on the higher end. The interior is spacious and has a fun design.

We had a good experience here. I like the concept and appreciate there are various Vegan options. I tried the grilled sandwich and it seemed quite fresh; also the pound cake was surprisingly great for a vegan option.

Interesting, inventive menu. Staff was upbeat and friendly. The wraps were generous and well-prepared. Will visit again!

The BBQ platter with ribs, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, fries, and toast was packed with flavor and perfect for sharing. I started with the salted watermelon margarita, which was tasty and refreshing with a nice fruity flavor. It wasn't overly strong, making it easy to sip throughout the meal. For appetizers, we shared the spinach dip, calamari, and buffalo bites. The spinach dip was good, and the chips had a nice salty crunch. The calamari was pretty standard, but there was way too much breading, the squid-to-breading ratio was way off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The menu description mentioned quinoa and brown rice, but they were practically nonexistent. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. Honestly, it was nothing special and tasted like a thawed frozen cheesecake with some cheap berry compote on the side. Overall, Yard House is a fine option for hosting large groups thanks to its spacious setup, but I wouldn't come here expecting amazing food. The experience was fine, but the food itself was pretty average at most.

We loved everything about The Graceful Ordinary from the ambience to the amazing service (thanks Karen!) to the creative cocktails to the delicious food. When we arrived at the table, there was an anniversary card from the staff. Nice touch! We were brought a loaf of the warm housemade bread with whipped butter to begin. Hubby ordered the Having a Moment bourbon cocktail, and I had the Honey Kiss vodka and elderflower cocktail. Love their creative cocktail list. Karen was a fabulous server, so attentive and friendly. The other staff was on top of everything from water being refilled to clearing dirty dishes and even fresh butter brought to the table when it was low. Our needs were met before we even needed to ask. Also, since Karen knew that we were splitting all the courses, she automatically had the food split between two plates. I liked that. We decided to split everything we ordered. We started with the smoked salmon deviled eggs which were creamy delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. Our second starter was the bone marrow with caramelized shallots. This dish was absolutely amazing. My only critique would be to put four pieces of bread on the plate went two people are sharing. Our next course was a salad and we went with the roasted beet salad with blue cheese and sunflower shoots dressed in a warm bacon vinaigrette. Bacon - need I say more? Our main course was the walleye with ricotta gnudi, fava beans, peas and wild mushrooms. So many flavors and textures going on. The fish was perfectly seared and moist. Delectable. We thought about dessert but we were so full from dinner that we passed. Karen wouldn't let us go without a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary to enjoy at home, their signature butterscotch pot de crème with sea salt caramel. The Graceful Ordinary certainly made our anniversary special with the anniversary card at the table, and the complementary dessert. If you're in the western Chicago burbs, I highly recommend checking this restaurant out.
