    Shrimp and grits- best bite!
    Becca L.

Enjoyable night out in a really cute restaurant. It's currently decorated for St. Patricks day and is full of Irish Pub charm. We went on a Sunday night and had a delightful waitress, but ultimately we waited an hour after ordering to get our main course dishes. One person with me ordered soup that arrived after his main course, which is just not the order you want to eat it in! We ordered cocktails right away and those also took a long time to arrive. The best bites among our group were the pork belly sliders and the shrimp and grits. The pork belly slider had an Asian flair with a sweet and spicy sticky chili sauce. The shrimp and grits were amazing, the grits are so creamy and buttery with a smoky seasoned shrimp- I would order this as my main meal next time! The short rib was too fatty for me, my husband doesn't mind the fat and enjoyed it but there was a lot of eating around fat for me, so that's up to your personal taste!

Wow! what an absolutely delicious meal and absolutely love the fact that it is farm to table. The menu is well thought out and has such a variety for all different tastes. The whistling past the graveyard burger was one of the best burgers I've had in such a long time. The rich barbecue sauce with the peppered bacon and jam was absolutely phenomenal. They also had a really decent selection of different drinks on tap for beers and multiple specialty cocktails so definitely a place that you could come just to grab a drink but for sure try the food. This has been one of the more exciting restaurants for me to want to return to.

Ambiance good and drinks all 5 stars!! Great time and great experience :) I got the mushroom risotto with scallops and iron steak on the side. Service was excellent! Very attentive without being over bearing. This is a farm to table place . Fresh food good vibes.

Omg!!! The name is just as fitting as the food!!! If you don't pay attention while walking down the sidewalk in the beautiful downtown Naperville, you will miss this hotspot. My husband and I decided to try something new and Allegory is now a date night favorite. The service was fantastic! We have not gone in without feeling like family from each server. As you can see from the photos, our server persuaded us to try something new amazing dishes! The drinks are delicious and the food was mouth watering. The salad was top tier! Some people may prefer frozen lettuce, I don't. The lettuce was just the right temperature. I can't explain it, but when you know, you know! You can see in the photo where they take their old menus and use them as coasters or place mats. It gives the place a cottage feel and I love it!! Go try Allegory and let me know what you think! I'm a fan and I'll be back again!

This was such a unique restaurant. The Dining space was sandwiched between two buildings. There was a covered roof top with windows lined with stringed lights. The design was super simple, cozy with natural elements with clean lines and modern feel. There definite was a sophisticated rustic vibe. The ingredients were fresh and plated well. The presentation was thoughtful and looked carefully curated. I ordered the Phill E and it was top notch. It was hard to eat neatly, but I enjoyed every bite and joined the "clean plate club". The meat was tender, the bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese was melty-- it dripped with goodness. The entire table was eating contently in a chorus of how flavorful and tasty the food was!

Come Fridays for the fish and chips. It's insanely flakey, almost hard to pick up with the fork. The coleslaw is very flavorful and stood out to me. Service was great and a nice lively environment.

The atmosphere is very nice has nice decor friendly service we had ordered. I have got a skirt steak and my husband got scallops. We ordered a piece of chocolate cake to take with us. It was all very good. Would eat here again.

If you're looking for shrimp & grits, this is the place. Allegory's "Kiss my grits", which is blackened shrimp with cheesy white corn grits and browned butter, is absolutely delicious. It is a "small" dish, but I found the portion size to be perfect. Highly highly recommend!

Had a wonderful date night here, we didn't make a reservation but were able to sit at the bar, which offers the full menu. The food was really tasty, started with the charcuterie board, which is enough for two people to share, and everything on there was wonderful. The cocktails were also very tasty and made strong which is perfect for a date night ;) We also split the steak and the mashed potatoes were delicious! Would definitely recommend. My only complaint would be that it is very noisy in there, and it was cold when they had the door open. You could feel the draft from outside at the bar. Service was great but with so many people in there it was hard to tell the bartender when we wanted to order, needed more water etc. Check it out!

I've been here twice - looking forward to my next visit! First time I sat at the bar, had food and drinks, it was a great place to people watch and chat with the bartender. Second time I had a lovely little date with me, myself, and I. My waitress was so lovely, we chatted throughout my time there. The food was absolutely wonderful - I highly recommend the soup and quiche!

Stopped in while visiting a store nearby. The restaurant is full of live plants hanging from the ceilings, potted around the front window & draped along the brick walls. I came in the day after St Patrick's so I had the pleasure of seeing all their decor. Adam served me at the bar and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I love the window frames along the walls and all the rustic touches that complement one another. This is a family owned farm to table restaurant with table, window and bar seating. They have a full bar with beer, wine, craft spirits & a huge bourbon list. I got the quiche & it was drool worthy. It came with salad, potatoes and sausage. I also got the lavender lemon pistachio cake for dessert. Dishes were super filling & great price. Will return again :)

We went for Friday Fish Fry. Everything was amazing and service was great! Fish was lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned, Brussels were crispy and flavorful. We will be back!!

Unfortunately the management is terrible at this location. We were in the area of this particular location so we agreed to try it. We had a server, seemed very polite but inebriated. We waited for drink service almost 30minutes. Unusual for the brand but my daughter just finished competing so she was extra hungry and we stuck around. We ordered 2 salads and 2 orders of Pasta with sauce on the side. Nothing complicated. After 47 minutes our 1st drinks were finally refilled. I asked if everything was ok with the food and I was told they were alittle behind. I looked around and the place is about a quarter empty and It's just before 6pm. We got there around 4 thinking we'd beat the dinner rush. Just in my field of view I saw 16 employees. 7 were standing by a door or by their service stations on their phones. Most the empty tables haven't been bussed. I told my family what I saw and over the next few minutes they said "wow they keep coming out of nowhere". We counted 28 waiters or bus service, most standing around. We finally get 1 pasta dish and 1 salad. I just thought maybe it was too much to carry but they didn't come back. I started looking around after 10min and a manger came by the table. I said politely we were there for awhile and were missing a few items. Just then another salad arrived. The manager apologized and said he'd check on the food. He returned and said our order was lost in the system and they'd start it right away. 5 min later, a pasta dish showed up for my daughter. The manager apologized and said it was human error and offered to refill our drinks. The pasta dish arrived, was not the one she ordered. Were there over 2 hours and practically the simplest and quickest dishes to make, salad and pasta took an extraordinarily long time. The whole purpose of ordering those items was because of the potential expediency of their preparation. We ate and continued to watch so many employees standing around doing nothing. I was taught in the restaurant industry there is no time to do nothing unless you're on break. Setting silverware, cleaning menus, helping bus, refilling drinks, definitely not standing around playing on a phone. The management was embarrassingly inefficient with no accountability for their over bloated staff. I'd recommend avoiding this location.

I started with the salted watermelon margarita, which was tasty and refreshing with a nice fruity flavor. It wasn't overly strong, making it easy to sip throughout the meal. For appetizers, we shared the spinach dip, calamari, and buffalo bites. The spinach dip was good, and the chips had a nice salty crunch. The calamari was pretty standard, but there was way too much breading, the squid-to-breading ratio was way off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The menu description mentioned quinoa and brown rice, but they were practically nonexistent. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. Honestly, it was nothing special and tasted like a thawed frozen cheesecake with some cheap berry compote on the side. Overall, Yard House is a fine option for hosting large groups thanks to its spacious setup, but I wouldn't come here expecting amazing food. The experience was fine, but the food itself was pretty average at most.

We arrived on a Friday night just before 9:00 PM and had no trouble finding street parking--always a win. We were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer, who was absolutely amazing. She let us know about their late-night perk: half-price small plates and select drinks on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until close, which is such a great incentive for heading out later in the evening. Jennifer was attentive without being intrusive--our water glasses were always full, she checked in after every course, and her recommendations for both food and drinks were spot-on. We started with a Mad Rose for V and a Chameleon for me. Both cocktails were delicious, and after finishing his Mad Rose, V definitely felt the celebratory spirit kicking in. For appetizers, we shared the Vietnamese Summer Rolls and Sweet Chili Calamari. The summer rolls were light, fresh, and nicely accented with mint. The calamari was sweet with a surprisingly spicy finish--delicious, though the heat was just a bit much for V. I'd happily order both again. For my main course, I had the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff, and wow--hands down the best stroganoff I've ever had. The beef was incredibly tender, and the sauce was perfectly balanced with the noodles. It even paired beautifully with my Chameleon, with subtle lemon notes that complemented each other surprisingly well. V ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop, cooked medium well and absolutely perfect. He loved every bite. It came with a risotto that he enjoyed, even if it wasn't the standout of the dish. Dessert sealed the deal. We finished with Sandy's White Wine Cake--which reminded me of a carrot cake in the best way--and the Banana Cream Pie, which was easily the best banana cream pie I've ever had. Truly a WOW moment. Between the excellent food, thoughtful service, and great late-night specials, Entourage made V's birthday celebration one to remember. We'll definitely be back. I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

Tonight felt especially memorable and worthy of a proper review. We usually avoid Friday nights because Vai's is almost always packed... and after tonight, it became crystal clear why. Diane and I were craving a standout meal, a little comfort, and a relaxing evening together. What we received was far beyond dinner service. We were treated like valued regulars and genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Pete, who I believe is the manager, recognized us immediately and encouraged us to put our name on the waiting list despite the crowd. I'm grateful he did. While we waited, we sat outside near the fire on a cool evening, which added another layer of warmth and ambiance to an already inviting atmosphere. Within minutes, Pete came outside personally to let us know two seats had opened at the bar. That level of attentiveness matters. As soon as we walked in, Eliot and Mallory greeted us with smiles and authentic positive energy. Not forced. Not transactional. Genuine. They made us feel appreciated simply for being there. Even on one of the busiest nights imaginable, they engaged with guests with the same warmth and attentiveness we've experienced during quieter weekday visits. In the background, Morgan was crafting cocktails with precision while still finding time for a familiar nod that quietly says, "Good to see you again." That kind of hospitality cannot be faked. We ordered our favorite dish, the Lobster & Shrimp Rigatoni and once again it was exceptional. Rich, consistent, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the best dishes in Naperville. Without us even asking, the kitchen thoughtfully split the entrée onto two plates. That small gesture perfectly captures what makes Vai's special... attention to detail seems woven into everything they do. From the fire outside to the flowers inside, from the cocktails to the consistency of the food, Vai's creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and sincere all at once. Authenticity and respect seem embedded in the culture there. Tonight was a standout evening for us, and I'm genuinely glad we decided to stay despite the crowd. Pete, Eliot, Mallory, Morgan, and the entire staff - thank you for reminding us what great hospitality looks like. Outstanding indeed.

Unfortunately, each bartender had a slightly different explanation of the restaurant's goal concepts which was confusing. We ended up ordering the El Toro and Vaquero (both mezcal drinks). Both were VERY spirit forward to the point that it may have needed better balance. Both drinks had a nice presentation with garnishes, color, and a skull feature at the bottom of the glass. Lastly, we saw many people walk up and look confused as there was no formal host stand. They didn't know if they should seat themselves or wait for someone. Overall, there still seems to be some kinks needing to be worked out as well as some conceptual editing. I feel they are trying to achieve too much and it ends up being confusing for staff and guests. I hope with time, Altavida is extremely successful in the Naperville area and I hope to circle back after some time passes.

This place is a wonderful addition to DT Naperville! I was able to get a last minute dinner…read morereservation on a Friday night. I arrived at 6:30 and there were plenty of people already in the restaurant, but I was seated promptly. My server Richard came over to greet me right away. He went over the menu options and gave great recommendations. We put our order in pretty quickly because we've been to tapas restaurants before. I loved the modern decor and lively music being played. The place is truly colorful and has a very energetic vibe. The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely kind and happy to help. Edwin, the general manager was so friendly and accommodating by making sure that everything was to our liking. He is a gem. My husband and I ordered a few different tapas to share. We started with the empanadas and they were truly 10/10, highly recommend! We had the beef and chicken with the chimichurri sauce. We also tried the papas bravas and those were delicious as well. They are spicy and have a nice kick. The portion is pretty big and shareable. Last, we had chicken en mole. Omg, so good! They knocked it out of the park with this one. The presentation is very pleasing and the flavor is 10/10! I'm a hot sauce girly and even carry it in my bag just in case. The sauce they had in the dish was so good that I didn't even think about adding hot sauce! The rice and chicken along with the sauce is chef's kiss. I also tried the Brussels sprouts but they were my least favorite of everything. They should go back to the drawing board on that one. The drinks we had were solid. My husband had an espresso martini and dragonfruit margarita, while I had a mango margarita. All were good. Needless to say, I had an amazing evening at Altavida! The dancing on the second floor was also very fun and entertaining. I will definitely be a regular here!

We were the only table in the restaurant, so our plan worked. Multiple tables were seated while we waited and dined. There is not a ton of seating at The George, so I can see why it gets so busy. If you're like me, and don't like waiting, plan on an early evening. The service was very good. Our server was very attentive, and the food came out quickly. I am a Stroganoff lover, so I had the Short rib stroganoff. Hubby had a Patty Melt. He requested American cheese vs Swiss, and no salt on the fries. His order came out exactly as requested. His meal was delicious. I, unfortunately was not a huge fan of my food. To start, the dish was very very salty. In addition, the short rib was very tough and chewy. The meat also had somewhat of a gamey taste. To be fair, I have not ordered short rib before, so maybe that is normal. Regardless, I did not enjoy it. We might return as there were several other items on the menu that sounded good. Based on the ambiance, the service, and hubby's meal, I would recommend The George, but I would steer clear of the Short Rib Stroganoff.
