We were in from Tampa for the week and visited the Wheaton location twice while in town. Ditka's Grill is absolutely amazing, top to bottom. First off, excellent garage parking just behind the restaurant. Great bartenders (Brigitte and Scott BOTH stellar), who handled our New York Sour's, "Skinny" Margarita's and Old Fashioned's flawlessly. Our steaks were incredible... filet's, NY Strip and a Ribeye all done perfectly. The desserts were ridiculously good, Key Lime Pie and Baked Cookie were standouts. We had an incredible server named Kendrick, who is one of the best steakhouse waiters I've ever had (and I've been everywhere!) - ask for him! Special mention to GM Danny and Maitre D Justin who really rolled out the red carpet for my wife, sister in law, cheese bag brother in law and I. We had an awesome evening and can't wait to go back. Remained in the area after PanCan walk fundraiser and stopped in for lunch. I think Ditkas has recently started this lunch menu. Perfect size menu but could use more appetizer choices. Everyone enjoyed their food items. Burger was Fantastic. Prepare yourself Coleslaw has horseradish. Potroast was a bit on the sweet side. Dressing on side salad was SO good I drank the remainder Blackberry tea lacked sweetness. The waiter brought over sugar but we know what happens when you add sugar to an already cold beverage. Nice atmosphere. Great fast service. Not crowded for Saturday afternoon. Almost forgot waiter suggested Smoked Old Fashioned and it did not disappoint! read more

On July 11,2026, my family gave me a surprise birthday party at Ditka's. It was the perfect evening. We had the best food, and the waitstaff was amazing. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at your restaurant for making my birthday celebration so special. The entire staff went above and beyond to made sure everything was perfect. The food was outstanding - every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared and enjoyed by everyone in our party. Fabulous in a word. Two pals and I met on a Sunday. We asked to be seated in the area that was a little bit more quiet because we weren't there to watch sports. We were not rushed. We had some drinks and entrees no appetizers. Our server was very accommodating. The three of us had not seen each other in a long time and so we appreciated not being rushed. It's a lovely establishment and it's actually much larger than it looks from the outside. We didn't even realize that there was actually a patio area which we'd love to visit next time. I went here for a business meeting. I had wanted to try Ditka's for the longest time, and finally got the chance. Lots of options on the menu. Service was good and the place had a good atmosphere. The parking lot can be a little tricky as its in a large office building, but they do offer Valet and standard parking. I was happy with the quality and amount of my food (I got the Chicken Parmesean and would get it again). Prices were a bit on the high side, but I definitely would come back again! read more

Who would win in a fight: a bar or Coach Ditka? Hold on, hold on... the name of the bar is Ditka's Grill... A tough choice, of course! But in this case it's a clear winner... Some friends of ours were in town so we stopped in the a more upscale cocktail experience. On that front this place delivers. It's nicely done inside, upscale and classy. I'm not saying a jacket is required but you will probably feel out of place if you roll in sans collar. Like I said, we were just in for drinks and a high top near the bar was perfect. It was a bit later in the evening but the place had a healthy crowded of diners and drinkers. We only ended up staying for one round because the cocktails the ladies ordered were not to their liking. I, on the other hand, didn't have an issue (of course, I had a bourbon, neat...). The only other thing was the placement of the TV as it was very in-your-face. Now, I get it that it's a "Ditka's" place but given how well they executed with all of the rest of the decor I feel they just slapped a big TV on the wall and called it a day. Manager approached our table after we ordered "too many" martinis. Said the bar could only serve "x" amount in 2 hour span. We had been there 3 hours. It was barely 7pm on a Monday. No one at our table was drunk, offensive, or disruptive. Our server was a condescending jerk and said he doesn't drink so "1 drink is too many." Looking over the bill we noticed we had been charged for FIVE extra drinks we did not order. Called the worthless manager over again and he says "oh I'm sorry about that I'll fix it" and our bill went down by $100. An unbelievable and terrible experience. How INSANE it is to "cut off" a table because YOU personally think they're drinking too much. Who are you to make that decision? Rude, belittling, and awful service. The manager should be removed from that position, what a joke. He is argumentative and on a power trip. Anyways, the tequila bar right across the street is AWESOME! read more

With my Treager dead, and unable to make my usual smoked turkey, my bride and I decided to go to Ditka's this year for Thanksgiving. We booked a "later" reservation, and arrived on time, and were seated immediately. The joint was jumpin'! We had an excellent meal. The service was a little slow (it was late on a holiday; we were happy they were open at all!). But they were very kind and attentive - if just a bit understaffed. All of that is forgivable. Their Turkey was EXCELLENT! I ordered a steak for myself, which was okay. But I do gave a couple of gripes about the experience, though: 1. A $70 steak should arrive HOT. Sizzling, in fact. Ruth's does this; I see no reason why Ditka's couldn't, too. But, they were understaffed on a holiday, and the steak was at least warm, versus cold. Heat lamps while our server caught up, I guess. I was in a happy mood, and decided not to make a fuss about it. 2. When I needed to visit the Men's room, approaching closing time, there were no supplies. That's inexcusable, for a restaurant of this caliber and at these prices. In sum, we came on a Holiday evening, prepared to spend money on an experience. What we got was "a meal" - not a BAD meal, but just "a meal". For $200 for 2 people, I expected better. This is probably the "winning" I hear so much about in the news. Food was excellent. I had the chicken wrap, plus a baked potato. Atmosphere was great. Server was attentive. We were sat at a table across from the bar in an area surrounded by 3 walls of glass. Nice. It's not on the main floor. We got there around 8 PM. My sister had the fish tacos-good! My only issue was that there was a cold, uncomfortable breeze the whole time we were there (overhead AC?). It was not warm out side- mid forties. I don't know why that would be on. Last minute luck got us a booth at lunch on Easter. I believe you may need to put deposit down to hold tables since waiter asked at the end of our meal about our deposit but not sure if that's all the time or on special days. Anyways: smaller seating area broken into sections. Bar area has old time barstools, look comfy, main dining area near kitchen and another on the other side of the door. There's also a great sunroom that was nice and bright but would be cool at night. My salmon was delishois.cooked to a perfection with the outside a little crunchy and soft and not over cooked at dry. Nice and moist. Sitting on top of asparagus cut into smaller bite sized pieces which I loved because sometimes the long spears are annoying to cut. All sitting in top of a basil oil sauce. Altogether worth $29 and I loved and would get again. The avocado toast: I would pump up that piece of bread into something other than what looked and tasted like brownberry. For $14 it should shine. A nice thick piece of above the ordinary bread. I would have liked it to have been toasted a little more. A little limp and soft. For the avocado blend in toast, bummed about the freshness. Tasted like it was a day old or overripe. I should have removed the corn topping, didn't sound tasty but forgot. I would take a pass on this. My family got the ribeye boneless, spicy crispy chicken sandwich and fried chicken and waffle. They absolutely loved their meals. Nothing other than chewing going on there. Overall I like this being in Wheatons center. Great bonus to downtown Wheaton for sure. read more

Came here for dinner and they were able to seat us within 10 minutes (although estimated wait time was 20 minutes). This was after we tried to walk-in at Burger Social and were told they were full for the night at 530p. This place is dimly lit and elegant. Service and food were on point. California Style Deviled Eggs $14 - Delicious! I never had this style before where the avocado holds the yolk mix and the eggs white is sprinkled onto the plate. Spicy California roll $18 - I was surprised to see sushi on the menu and was glad I tried it. It was small, but had real crab meat and good flavors. Coach's Burger $16 - Good burger, nice soft buns and came with crispy fries. Key Lime Pie $9 - Must have dessert! Perfect balance of sweet and tart with a graham cracker bottom. Happened to be passing though and stumbled upon this nice restaurant for lunch. Very clean and modern decor , perfect atmosphere for a quiet lunch. Server was very nice and helpful with the selections. We started with the Shrimp Gumbo which was very tasty and full of ingredients . Also soup was HOT the way soup should be served. My wife got the Chicken Piccata with mashed potatoes. What a large portion and it was done just right. I had the leftover for dinner. I had the Fish Tacos . We were seated on time for our reservation. The server was pleasant and attentive though seemed to try and rush us a bit. The quality of the food and drinks was slightly above average with the price a little on the high end for what it was. I had the 3% extra restaurant fee removed as otherwise it would have been deducted from the tip amount-not fair. The worst thing about the experience was the extreme noise level. The acoustics are terrible; the noise bounces off the walls. The annoying music coupled with the kitchen noise and conversational noise from a crowded restaurant was really unpleasant. It is enough to NEVER return- this is upscale by appearance and clearly a local favorite but not worth the effort at all. Too many other more pleasant places to eat. AVOID. read more

We got the pot roast nachos and the deviled eggs. There were several chips without any toppings and the deviled eggs were the filling on top of an avocado both of with had no flavor. The whites were shredded on the plate not knowing what they were. I asked for the jalapenos on the side as I can't eat them but they were scattered on top. We drank our water but were never asked if we wanted more or if we liked our food.. The server provided our bill but took really long to pick it up so I took it to the bar. My pasta was crunchy!! The waitress was rude and passive aggressive the entire time, and took my meal away when I mentioned there was an issue. I was still going to eat it since only a few noodles were hard and she took my meal away. I was so disappointed and my date's pasta was also severely undercooked. Having never been to a Ditka's restaurant before, I really enjoyed our recent experience here with some friends! The vibe at this location is awesome - I love that ever table is a booth, the bar is welcoming if you just want to have a cocktail or eat there, and there's just something so comforting about this restaurant. They also have an outdoor area which looks very inviting as well! The service was top notch! We sat at the bar for a drink before our reservation; the bartenders were fun and helpful. Our waitress had a great personality and made our experience fun. The drinks and selection of alcohol are wonderful. They have a little bit of everything - Including Mezcal and some top tequilas, huge fan!! The food was delicious! I really enjoyed my entree and the sides we ordered. A wedding brought us to Lisle Illinois so we stopped by the local French Market on a Saturday in Wheaton. We happened past this upscale restaurant as some people were leaving. A quick question of how was it revealed extreme fervor over the greatness of the food here. Agreed! A special lunch combo allowed us to try smaller bites of more things. The French dip was wonderful. The slices of meat. Cheese and bread had all the perfect textures while biting off easily. Ample dipping juice. The mini spicy chicken sliders 2 in the combo order- had a nice amount of heat contrast with the coolness of the slaw. Both were sided by the salad loaded with red onion, toasted pine nuts, feta and tomato in a relatively small bowl. While the combo looks small in pic, it actually was perfectly filling. Service was top notch. Refilling of teas without asking. Good but not overdone conversation. Great ambiance. There is bar seating, booths, outdoor patio seating and high tops. Clean with a moody dark feel. Would strongly recommend if ever in Wheaton. read more

Came in for my first visit during lunch the day after the 4th of July. Pretty quiet and empty - but the service was very attentive as a result. I had a satisfying Caesar salad with jumbo shrimp. It was a huge portion. The dressing was delicious and had the right amount of zing to it. My son ordered filet sliders which vanished in minutes. Manager told us to leave before closing. Arrived at 9:30 pm and Friday Night hours are bar closes at 11pm. The bartender was telling customers that the closing was at 10pm. We came in for one drink after a local concert and restaurant said 11pm on door. The restaurant turned lights on and made sure we felt uncomfortable and we better leave. We stayed to enjoy our drink and paid our bill - giving a nice tip to the bartender. Then comes the manager saying we had to leave saying the janitorial had to start cleaning. Hmmm! Wait... restaurant was still open and they sure chased out an almost full bar before closing - making sure we all felt very uncomfortable. Something is wrong with that picture. They are known for their pork chops that said everything from the steak to the chicken enchiladas are truly amazing. I also noticed the owner and management working side by side with the staff to ensure your experience is as good as it can be. This was my first time at any Ditka's restaurant and I have to start off by saying the service was phenomenal! Our waitress was super sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed. The inside of the restaurant was quite dark but in a good, moody way. The only issue that I had was it was really cold! We had to wear our coats during dinner. The food and drinks were awesome though. I got a filet and my partner got the day boat jumbo scallops. The filet was really good and cooked just the way I asked for. The scallops were AMAZING. I kept stealing bites from my partner. I wish the portion was a little bit bigger for that price though, maybe a little extra lobster risotto and it would've been perfect. This place was really good. My experience here was higher than expected! We have a lovely corner table which was great as it was a bit loud in the restaurant so we were all able to still have good conversation. We started with cocktails (great selection) and our dinner was amazing. The menu has something for everyone whether you're looking for sushi, salad, nachos, pasta, or an elevated meat entree such as steak. Service was good, food and drinks came out quickly.
