Finally was able to make it to Berger Bros! This place is pretty small but modern design with a good ambiance. Very nice. I ordered the Rocco burger, my husband ordered the prime rib special, and our friend ordered the Jabo burger. We also split the Bruschetta flatbread...freaking delicious!!!! The Rocco burger was super yummy! Toppings were fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly. Next time I order this I'd ask them to add bacon and ask for aioli on the side. My husband loved the prime rib! It was cooked perfectly, so juicy and tender, and the au jus was so flavorful! He ranked this top on his list! Our friend enjoyed his burger a lot. My fiance picked this spot for dinner recently. It's a small and bustling pub in Winfield with either table or bar seating. Food was a mixed bag. My French onion soup was delicious; the burger I ordered was alright but decidedly too rare (we were not asked how we would like them cooked and I would not have wanted it that red). They really seemed eager to turn over tables: my soup arrived, I had one bite and the burgers were there. It was literally the fastest sit-down meal I think I have ever eaten, and honestly it felt too rushed. There were other options aside from burgers on the menu (which we both had) so you may fare better with one of those. read more

Been trying to get over to this Winfield eatery and pub for sometime. Glad I finally made it. Exceptional and attentive servers who kept the beverages filled at all times. It was 100 degrees outside so no one was sitting outside but nice indoor seating area with spacious tables and a bar. Looks like a great place to bring a group and linger over craft brews and sandwiches, burgers, salads, and other bites. My burger was excellent and perfectly prepared. Decided to stop in on a weeknight. We arrived right when they opened at 5 pm. We were promptly seated and brought water. Hope was our server and she provided excellent customer service. I had the Rocco burger and it was probably one of the best burgers that I have ever had. It had goat cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic on it. I chose to have it on a pretzel bun and it was spectacular. For my side I had the bbq chips which were tasty as well. I also ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup. Great place for burgers. They have specialty cocktails and craft beer as well. read more

Very good list of local brews and tasty cocktails. Menu has both the pub standards and some upscale options. Typically love the cheesy shrimp and grits and had been looking forward to them most of the day but was a bit disappointed this time. They were very heavy and lumpy tonight, the egg on top was hard. The whole meal as heavy in my stomach all night. On a good note Todd the barkeep was very polite and helpful and his Old Fashion was very tasty. It's a small but cozy pub. We've been here several times for dinner. We've driven by this place often and not sure why we never went in. We usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are very friendly. Troy has made us some great cocktails. I recommend Coffee Shop After Hours with mezcal (or vodka), cold brew and cocoa bean. The Rye Old Fashioned is really good. The Bloody Mary (only served during Sunday brunch) is outrageous with that slider on top! They have a decent beer selection also. The prime rib special is delicious and perfectly cooked. Rocco burger is good too. We enjoy coming here place. You will need to be mindful of the hours because they're not typical. read more

There are so many dishes I want to try but because I only get out here once in a while I always go to my all-time favorite Chicken fried chicken. Thats not to say I haven't tried other stuff all wonderful, but that is my go-to. I'm still wanting a Holy Grail cheese. Prime rib was fantastic but to me a roast is a roast is a roast kind of like a steak is a steak for the most part. You can get a good one most place. However, the Homemade originals here are my favorite. That Chief Greg has a magic touch! This place is a must try if you like homemade food - just sayin. For those complaining about price EVERYTHING has gone up. We've actually driven by here so many times to go to other restaurants, but didn't really realize it was there. Finally tried it based on Nextdoor reviews. The restaurant was a bit loud and about half of the restaurant was occupied by the bar area and half by the dining tables. We were seated quickly and started with a mangria (cross between bourbon drink and sangria, really, really good) and a manhattan. Drinks were great. Entrees were the Holy Grail grilled cheese with their house-made BBQ chips and the Bubba Bleu burger. Holy Grail grilled cheese was cheddar and bacon (skipped tomato) on a perfectly toasted sourdough. The side of marinara sauce perfectly complimented the grilled cheese and was a unique way to serve the sandwich. The BBQ chips had a great BBQ flavor, not spicy and were crispy. Burger was delectable with great toppings and also paired with chips. The chips were to die for. Both sandwiches came with a crispy pickle. Presentation of the dishes was a 10/10. Service was great, quick enough on the drink refills even though the place seemed packed. Pricing is a bit on the higher side for a burger and a grilled cheese, but they are serving really good sandwiches with great chips. read more

wow, what has happen at Berger Bros. stopped by for a Friday night dinner. arrived right when they opened at 5pm kind of wished they open at 4/4:30. Service was good. The food was so-so. Had the Tator Tot Platter as an appetizer it was lukewarm and drover loaded with cheese sauce and sour cream. My dinner partner and I wished it was hot. Dinner my dinner partner had the Southwest Salad with crispy chicken he liked it and it was a perfect size for a dinner meal. I had the BBQ Pork (2) Sliders. asked for fries got the homemade potato chips. asked for the fries they we're hot homemade and very good. the 2 sliders the pork dried out and hard about 1/3 the rest was just ok. 2nd time in the last 3 months the food was mostly just ok. The location of Berger Bros. translates to a very busy restaurant. And when they make everything from scratch and locally sourced, your best bet is to 1) Make a reservation and 2) Come in on the early side. This was realized after my first visit where we made a reservation, but had a late dinner (8ish) and a few food and drink items were gone. So, on my most recent visit with some friends we made an early reservation (530p). It's packed at this time so don't let the early time fool you! The restaurant is small and quaint with the bar as the focal point. The beer menu is well saturated with delicious crafts, but there's also a great cocktail menu too. Not a wine person, but they have a selection. As I mentioned, everything is made in house and locally sourced, so I can honestly say everything I've had here was delicious! From the pulled pork sliders to the flatbreads, and the GW sandwich to the DeWitt burger... all delicious! My goal is to come here during the warmer months so I can enjoy their outdoor area. read more

It happened to be taco Tuesday so I had the shrimp tacos special ($12): 2 tacos, a large basket of homemade chips, salsa and rice. The tacos were great, everything was very fresh, chips were homemade and it was quite filling. We still ordered chocolate cake for dessert which was incredibly thick, moist chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse in between the layers which was just excellent.
