Tuna Tartare....fresh and flavorful
Marianne D.

We haven't dined at Adele's for a couple years now, and since that time they renovated the restaurant. I have been here several times in the past and always had a good experience. I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner going on my actual birthday. Friends of ours joined us for dinner. I chose to sit in the lounge area next to the bar, which is a smaller space than the dining room, more intimate. I enjoyed that space. There's a couple couches in front of a fireplace perfect to enjoy an after dinner drink. My friends brought a couple bottles of wine so we didn't order any cocktails or wine from the restaurant. Their corkage fee is $25 a bottle. The four of us started with appetizers to share. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious. The charcuterie board was good but could've had another cheese on the board to match the three meats on the board. It was served with perfectly grilled baguette. The special appetizer for the evening was morel mushrooms. I love morel mushrooms, but these lacked flavor and the portion was small. That was a miss for me. For dinner, my husband had the crispy chicken milanese, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The chicken was topped with arugula, capers, manchego cheese, tomatoes. I opted to have a Caesar salad and the Spanish octopus appetizer for my dinner. Our server Carmen, who was so engaging and provided good service, said that the octopus was outstanding. He was right! It was the best octopus I ever had. Tender and flavorful. The owner stopped by our table to see if we were enjoying everything. I told him I didn't like the octopus at all and the chef needed to make me another one pronto, but he didn't buy it. I tried! It was noted on our reservation that it was my birthday and my friends bought a bouquet of flowers so it was pretty obvious, but the restaurant did not acknowledge it with a little dessert at the end of the meal. That was disappointing since I chose this place specifically to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant should make note when people are there to celebrate, do a little something special to mark the occasion. All in all, I still love this restaurant it would recommend it.

Started with deviled eggs which were beautifully presented but salty and disappointing. Next had the fried chicken thigh tikka masala with rice which was salted properly, the breading was tasty but the rice and veg were uninteresting. The flourless chocolate cake was the highlight, good texture and properly rich chocolate taste

Aperol Fizz!

In my second visit to Adelle's, they hit every high point possible! Enjoyed a light and refreshing Aperol Fizz at the bar with a couple deviled eggs while waiting for our friend to arrive for dinner. The bartender was fast, friendly and knowledgeable; the cocktails were terrific! The restaurant was mostly empty but that was helpful in terms of keeping the volume down. We enjoyed the Asian ribs appetizer; 6 hearty. ribs full of sesame and soy flavors. I ordered the Parmesan chicken with cheddar potatoes and grilled asparagus; it was a bit spicy but very delicious, and the asparagus was perfect! The staff was attentive without ever being intrusive and they brought us water and drinks all throughout the meal. Very friendly and guided us to good choices on wine and desserts!! For dessert, I had an affogato and they made it decaf for me--still so good, and they gave me a a generous scoop of vanilla gelato!! It was my friend's birthday, so they gave us little glasses of champagne to toast her and a little limoncello after dessert, too!! So much fun!! Plus everything was delicious. Thanks, Adelle's!! It was a great evening!

Goulash with mashed potatoes and cucumber salad.

Hadn't been to Adelle's in a long time, so we decided to give it another try. The pork belly appetizer was delicious, sweet Asian chili flavor. The crab cakes were good. The burger was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I tried the Oktoberfest special, Goulash with mashed potatoes, it was delightful, the cucumbers with sour cream was a perfect accompaniment. Give Adelle's a try for Oktoberfest!

Here is what to know if you want to ever come to this restaurant 1. It's an American cuisine: American people, American environment, and American lifestyle. If your not American just like me you will stand out 2. The service is REALLY slow. 2 hours for 5 dishes when there were just a couple of old people with their families, seriously. 3. The food is too expensive. For 5 dishes the cost was 150$, averaging each meal being 40 dollars 4. Waitresses are kind: A man served us water about 5 times in 2 hours, so that's a positive. 5. Food is delicious. Definitely worth some of the cost and the long waiting time. 6. The restaurant is old which shows that the chefs are experienced but it should've not tooken them 2 hours for 5 dishes. That's everything you need to know about this restaurant. Not bad. 3/5 is fair. I probably won't. One here again this restaurant is mid tier against other restaurants.

And unfortunately for my dignity, Common Good makes it ridiculously good. Smooth, not overly sweet, and good enough that I'm never going back to pretending I just want regular coffee. Then there's the old-fashioned donut. Holy heck. Crispy edges, soft inside, and flipping phenomenal. I don't know who they're getting their donuts from these days, but whoever is responsible deserves continued employment and possibly dental coverage. The ambience at 7 a.m. is also kind of fantastic. It's basically me, the barista, and whoever is standing across the street waiting for the train. Quiet, relaxed, and just enough civilization outside the window to remind you that other people have places to be while you sit there eating a donut. Next assignment: come back in the afternoon and investigate the cocktails. I take these reviews very seriously. It would be irresponsible journalism to base my findings solely on breakfast without conducting a thorough investigation of the cocktail menu. I didn't choose this responsibility, but I intend to see it through.

I love that their menu changes so often each season with so many different drinks to try and they are all super inventive. I also love that they sometimes put fun little items on the drinks, such as a page from a book, a temporary tattoo, or a piece of candy. This time, they had their spring 2026 menu. I looked at their Instagram page before coming and decided exactly what I wanted. It's so fun how they write a little story to go along with each cocktail and the thought process behind it. It definitely makes the drinks feel more personal and special. We started off with the Rose Tico Conundrum (very sweet and came with a little piece of raspberry candy) and Pepe Silvia's Pickle Party Plot (really delicious, was surprised by this one). Next we tried the speciality API month drink called Gratitude in Bloom (tasted very gingery and lemony, almost like a healthy tea drink) and the Springtime Thought Crime (very strong with a hint of cherry). There isn't much seating so it's not great for huge groups but I think there is a patio. It's a pretty casual spot and great for just hanging out. The music is loud but the vibe is fun. The bartenders and servers are always amazing and super attentive. They do not serve their own food, but I think they have a food truck sometimes that you can order from and they'll bring it to you. I could be wrong about that, but the people next to us had tacos brought to them on paper plates, which looked delicious.

Gumbo was very smoky and tasted like smoked chili. Wasn't a fan. Nashville chicken kimchi baos: these were tasty! Penicillin: alright, not the best My biggest gripe was how we received our food. The seafood boil came out first which was great but then the burger and gumbo came 30 seconds after. So then we rushed thru eating the seafood while it was hot, hoping the burger wouldn't be cold by the time we ate it. We didn't get to enjoy the seafood at all comfortable pace. Once we got to the burger, then the baos arrived. Now we had to rush to eat the burger before the baos got cold. Whole meal was rushed. And no one bussed any of our plates along the way or filled our water. We had to ask for takeout boxes. She didn't bring the check. We had to ask for the check. Overall most of the food was good. Their conversations were very loud as most are probably hard of hearing so quiet conversation is not possible. I overheard many say what great value for the money here and the staff treated them very kindly. There also were several tables of family groups. Our server was a bit forgetful but the food was very good. I would recommend the steak bites on the appetizer and gluten free menus because they were tender, flavorful and juicy. The interior is dark with black leather booths and brick/wood paneling walls. Very "Old School" Their menus are all on an iPad which I have never seen before. It was broken down to different categories including Daily Specials. Their menu is extensive from wings, burgers, pizza, salads and home cooked comfort foods just like your grandma made. We started with drinks . They had a draft beer special so I ordered a draft beer and my wife ordered an Adult Arnold Palmer. Apparently their draft beer wasn't working so our server (Lucy) asked if a bottled beer would be ok. I was surprised when she charged me full price for the beer because it was bottled and not draft which was not my choice! My wife was brought her drink minus the alcohol.. apparently our server misunderstood her. I had their wings which were good in size and sauced perfectly. Very tender and juicy but I had to ask our server for some ranch dressing which normally comes with wings. My wife had the Blue Cheese Steak bites off the GF menu with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Again the server forgot her potatoes and charged her the wrong price since they had special pricing on the GF menu. They also charge a credit card processing fee. I would have given it 5 stars but again service was an issue. I would like to go back again to try one of their dinners or other Daily Specials when in the area.
