We had family in town and didn't feel like driving into Chicago so we saw this cute Holiday Pop Up on Instagram and decided to give it a try. It is suggested you make reservations so we went the Friday after Thanksgiving for lunch. Reserve 22 is located in the beautiful Village Links Golf Course in Glen Ellyn. The interior is beautiful! Our server Nancy was very good and attentive. They have a pretty extensive menu as well as Daily Specials. Prices tho are on the high side and they don't offer many GF items. They also have a kids menu if you ask. We didn't try any of their many Holiday Drink specials do that might have to be another visit. We ordered the Smoked Devil Egg trio but we're later told they were not serving it on the day we went. The kids enjoyed their children's meal as well as the Giant Pretzel even tho it was overpriced at 15.00 in my opinion. My wife had the Chicken Bowl (GF) ($20) and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I had their Chicago Italian Beef Flatbread ($19) which was tasty but dry. Needed either a dipping sauce or more sauce on the flatbread. For dessert the kids enjoyed their peppermint gelato sundae which was big enough to share. To get in the Holiday Spirit with family and friends,Reserve 22 is a fun place to go in the Western Burbs.

On the Village Links Of Glen Ellyn golf course, this restaurant was turned into a Christmas Pop Up. It was a great setting for lunch with our out of town family. Our server was really friendly and efficient. She anticipated everyone's needs. The food was average and a bit overpriced but not outrageous. The kids had a great time in the Elf Photo Booth. We peeked into the event space and it had beautiful views for a small wedding or other event. Many families came dressed in their Christmas best to take photos by the tree. I would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy drinks & appetizers on the patio and enjoy the golf course views & bird watching.

Enjoyed a delicious and festive dinner here prior to seeing a Christmas play at the McAninch theatre at the nearby College of DuPage last night! It's worth noting that Reserve 22 prizes its relationship to the Mac theater, and offers a 10% discount on food to diners going to see a play that evening! I was delighted to see the dining room and bar festooned with sparkling snowflakes and beautiful ornaments, with a gorgeous Christmas tree at the center! Plus a warming fire nearby. We first enjoyed a new cocktail called the Raspberry Kiss--vodka, St. Germain, raspberry purée and lemon juice over ice. (Also reminiscent of the Berry Kiss storyline from "The Holiday" if you're a Christmas nerd...) We had a big soft pretzel with melted cheese and honey Dijon mustard to start--satisfying and so good. My dinner was whitefish with capers and fresh spinach. The whitefish was served skin-on and it was flaky and savory with a buttery caper sauce. My daughter enjoyed the filet, done medium with a side of garlic mashed potatoes--delicious! We didn't have room for actual dessert but an espresso martini was our final course. It was made with espresso liqueur, Tito's and Kahlua. It tasted good, not too sweet--but it lacked the foamy top and 3 espresso beans that typically grace one of these cocktails--and represent health, wealth and happiness, so I missed that little garnish! All the same, we had a lovely time and we will be back!

My daughters found this gem, are we couldn't wait to go. Beautiful decorated for the holidays, so festive!!! We were seated promptly and had the best waiter, Carlton. He was friendly and helpful in the perfect way. Did rush us at all! Food was really good also....get the candied pepper bacon and the devil eggs! Can't wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable girls day.

We think this place is okay. Today was I think our third or fourth time trying to make the most of this place. We came because we heard they decorated for the holiday season and boy did they! The decorations and our waitress were very nice! However, the food always leaves so much to be desired. It's never bad but it's just okay. I got the special of the Cuban Panini hoping that the lovely description would be true and it was only fine. Hubs got the Crispy chicken sandwich and it was warm. That's basically all we had to say - food was warm, salty, and very beige in flavor and color. It wasn't bad by any means, but at 15-18$ per entree I really want at least "good". More sauce on the sandwich, more than one pickle per half, more than a half slice of bacon on the chicken sandwich, tomato's that are in season and have flavor, etc etc. Come if you want to enjoy the nice decorations or for a drink or fries but leave it at that.

I have been there many times and have never seen a dog. So my guess is that it is not.

Their outdoor patio has to be the best outdoor dining area in the western suburbs, especially because it overlooks the golf course.

The host was very accommodating and made sure we were seated where we wanted. I ordered the Pitmaster with truffle fries, and both were easily a 10/10. As someone who gets full pretty quickly, I ended up sharing my burger and fries, and there was still plenty to enjoy. It wasn't very busy when we first arrived, but the restaurant gradually filled up and became quite packed as the evening went on. We sat on the 2nd floor which has its own bar (nice since the wait staff doesn't need to go downstairs for drinks). This is a casual spot with lots of natural light coming in. There are plenty of TVs throughout which I noticed had sports on. Service throughout was OK. It did take awhile for our sever to take our order, check in, and bring drinks. I can understand if it was busy but that wasn't the case. I will say it wasn't like 45 mins of waiting, however, still not the greatest service. For food I ordered the social burger cooked well done and chose the side salad (minus feta). The dressing that comes with the salad is up my alley. I think it may have been some type of vinaigrette. Whatever it was, it was tangy and sour, I really liked it. The burger was also good. Since I'm pregnant I need to make sure all meats are thoroughly cooked. The burger was just that, cooked all the way through and no pink. Everything was delicious and I can see myself coming back.

Pies are about 10" in diameter, enough for one person plus leftovers; maybe not enough for two. We got the Garden of the Gods; Help Me Cheeses; and Lemon Capri (sliced lemon, olive oil, ricotta). The thick crust is basically focaccia and it's delicious; you also get the crisped cheese on the edges that you do with Detroit. The Garden of the Gods was also good (tomatoes, green pepper, onions, mushrooms) as was the 3-cheese, which my friend raved about. Service was friendly and they didn't throw us out as closing approached, which we appreciated. We were inside and it was pretty quiet as it was after 9pm. I see they bill themselves as a sports bar; guess I didn't realize, which for me is a good thing. Anyway, pizza is delicous, priced reasonably, and they have 5 vegetarian specialty pizzas plus plain cheese, so I'll definitely be adding this to my downtown restaurant rotation. Menu also features some tasty looking dips and a tomato / mozzarella salad, hmm!
