    Kids Cheese Quesadilla

On the Village Links Of Glen Ellyn golf course, this restaurant was turned into a Christmas Pop Up. It was a great setting for lunch with our out of town family. Our server was really friendly and efficient. She anticipated everyone's needs. The food was average and a bit overpriced but not outrageous. The kids had a great time in the Elf Photo Booth. We peeked into the event space and it had beautiful views for a small wedding or other event. Many families came dressed in their Christmas best to take photos by the tree. I would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy drinks & appetizers on the patio and enjoy the golf course views & bird watching.

Raspberry kiss cocktail - A tall, clear glass holds a light-colored cocktail with ice cubes, garnished with blackberries and a decorative pick. The drink is placed on a wooden table in a restaurant setting, with a blue upholstered booth and cutlery visible in the background.

Enjoyed a delicious and festive dinner here prior to seeing a Christmas play at the McAninch theatre at the nearby College of DuPage last night! It's worth noting that Reserve 22 prizes its relationship to the Mac theater, and offers a 10% discount on food to diners going to see a play that evening! I was delighted to see the dining room and bar festooned with sparkling snowflakes and beautiful ornaments, with a gorgeous Christmas tree at the center! Plus a warming fire nearby. We first enjoyed a new cocktail called the Raspberry Kiss--vodka, St. Germain, raspberry purée and lemon juice over ice. (Also reminiscent of the Berry Kiss storyline from "The Holiday" if you're a Christmas nerd...) We had a big soft pretzel with melted cheese and honey Dijon mustard to start--satisfying and so good. My dinner was whitefish with capers and fresh spinach. The whitefish was served skin-on and it was flaky and savory with a buttery caper sauce. My daughter enjoyed the filet, done medium with a side of garlic mashed potatoes--delicious! We didn't have room for actual dessert but an espresso martini was our final course. It was made with espresso liqueur, Tito's and Kahlua. It tasted good, not too sweet--but it lacked the foamy top and 3 espresso beans that typically grace one of these cocktails--and represent health, wealth and happiness, so I missed that little garnish! All the same, we had a lovely time and we will be back!

Sparkling Sleigh Ride - A hand with green-painted nails holds a cocktail glass containing a pinkish drink with a cherry garnish. The background features a large Christmas tree decorated with white and silver ornaments and string lights, and a restaurant setting with people seated at tables. The scene suggests a holiday celebration at a restaurant or bar.

My daughters found this gem, are we couldn't wait to go. Beautiful decorated for the holidays, so festive!!! We were seated promptly and had the best waiter, Carlton. He was friendly and helpful in the perfect way. Did rush us at all! Food was really good also....get the candied pepper bacon and the devil eggs! Can't wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable girls day.

We think this place is okay. Today was I think our third or fourth time trying to make the most of this place. We came because we heard they decorated for the holiday season and boy did they! The decorations and our waitress were very nice! However, the food always leaves so much to be desired. It's never bad but it's just okay. I got the special of the Cuban Panini hoping that the lovely description would be true and it was only fine. Hubs got the Crispy chicken sandwich and it was warm. That's basically all we had to say - food was warm, salty, and very beige in flavor and color. It wasn't bad by any means, but at 15-18$ per entree I really want at least "good". More sauce on the sandwich, more than one pickle per half, more than a half slice of bacon on the chicken sandwich, tomato's that are in season and have flavor, etc etc. Come if you want to enjoy the nice decorations or for a drink or fries but leave it at that.

Fantastic service- always. In warmer months you'll want to sit on their beautiful patio. During holidays check out the holiday pop up with festive decor and festive specials. There's a weekly specials menu but most menu items are available year round. Come on Thursday for the weekly fried chicken special. Yum

    Is the patio dog friendly?

I have been there many times and have never seen a dog. So my guess is that it is not.

Pies are about 10" in diameter, enough for one person plus leftovers; maybe not enough for two. We got the Garden of the Gods; Help Me Cheeses; and Lemon Capri (sliced lemon, olive oil, ricotta). The thick crust is basically focaccia and it's delicious; you also get the crisped cheese on the edges that you do with Detroit. The Garden of the Gods was also good (tomatoes, green pepper, onions, mushrooms) as was the 3-cheese, which my friend raved about. Service was friendly and they didn't throw us out as closing approached, which we appreciated. We were inside and it was pretty quiet as it was after 9pm. I see they bill themselves as a sports bar; guess I didn't realize, which for me is a good thing. Anyway, pizza is delicous, priced reasonably, and they have 5 vegetarian specialty pizzas plus plain cheese, so I'll definitely be adding this to my downtown restaurant rotation. Menu also features some tasty looking dips and a tomato / mozzarella salad, hmm!

The bar staff is always friendly, quick and attentive, and it's always very clean. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out what goes on with the food selection in this place I've been coming here for probably about 10 years and they have had probably as many themes. Between a palace of bacon and then not and then partially bacon and then bacon and vegan, and then just vegan and regular pub fare. It's close to the house so I will occasionally stop in for a beer and something after work. Usually, I will get a chicken Caesar wrap because that's pretty much impossible to screw up, but once in a while, I will have a taste for a burger and after all, this is a bar...and I've had bad bar burgers at bars all across the country, they usually are at least serviceable. Not here. Each time I order one I remember why I go back to the chicken Caesar wrap. Newest exhibit being their new Smash-burger. I selected the pretzel bun so I knew it was not going to be a typical smash burger but when the patties come out like gray school cafeteria burgers without a trace of smash or crisp to them, I'm not sure whoever created this menu has ever met the kitchen staff. Generally a Smash-burger should be a homogenous congealed mass held together by good will and melted cheese. I cut this thing in half and it fell over like a Jenga tower. The buns are consistently pretty stale. I can't imagine if burgers are this much of a gamble...how are entrees like pot roast? Who is even ordering enough of these things for it to be fresh when it seems like everyone's getting sliders and nachos.
