She took extra time to help me figure out how to make the flower bouquet bar work in the room. She also worked with us on the number of people we had attending. This place is very hit or miss I think unfortunately they have a lot of highschoolers working here or maybe college age kids You order and you don't get the drinks until at least your food arrives and then you wait some more and you still haven't gotten them. They forget items they don't come to check on you and then they want 20 to 30% for a tip and then when you finally leave the tip, you haven't even put the cash tip down and they're already coming to take it And in all my years of restaurant dining, I've never seen the server lean over you to come and take the cash tip And our drink cups are empty. We don't have boxes to take our food home. Just crazy. This is being left after three times of dining here with very similar experiences each time three times within the last two weeks I know it's hard to get decent employees when you're paying minimum wage and you're working off of tips, but they need to get people that I think are a little older read more

Played in an organized golf outing in May 2025 and the course needs some work and major fairway grass renovation. The fairway grass is so thin it's hard to call it grass and the ground underneath was as hard as a cement driveway. I could not swing one divot in it and lucky I did not break a club. The rough was fantastic and I was happy to land in it. The greens were also hard and fast. Like the fairway never had to repair a dimple on the green because there were never any because they were so hard. I did like the course layout and the sand traps were in good shape. The clubhouse is first class including the restaurant and bar. read more

The golfing here is great. The West and South course are great layouts and good for golfers of all skill levels. The East course is a little more challenging, but fun none the less. All of the courses are in great shape in my experience. Always well maintained and beautiful to play on. All of the workers are friendly and helpful. It's been a couple of years since we patronized the restaurant. Someone else in our group chose Arrowhead; I think we could have done better elsewhere. The menu is very average, burgers and fries, nothing on special, limited seafood. We had the orzo salad and it was fine. The shrimp ravioli was light on shrimp-maybe 5 for about $22.00. $7.50 for a Yuengling draft. I don't know why the park district is in the restaurant business. read more

It has been a month since our wedding at Arrowhead and our guests keep telling us what a wonderful wedding and venue we had! We were lucky enough to have great weather and enjoyed the intimate outdoor ceremony space and cocktail hour. All of the staff was extremely attentive throughout the day. I was here for a wedding and overall the venue and outdoor view is great. The catered food was also not bad. I was expecting it to be cheap but they beat expectations for wedding food. I'll come here for golf one day. It is hard for me to rate the whole facility on just a wedding event so I'll update this to 5 stars if I enjoy the golf experience. Quality- I had three plates of food. The first run of food was the best and each one after had chicken and beef that was over cooked and dry. I liked the beef the most. It was well cooked and the beef had nice marbling that gave it a lot of flavor. The mashed potatoes were also very good. Quantity- all you can eat and I didn't have to pay for it so idk what the wedding cost is. Atmosphere- very clean with lots of sunlight. Good wedding venue Service- it's top notch. We recently hosted a baby shower at Arrowhead and it was amazing! We've hosted engagement parties, baby showers and wedding showers at Arrowhead and each event has been a success! The event coordinators are easy to work with, accessible, professional and very knowledgeable. The rooms are comfortably decorated and have spacious windows overlooking the golf course. No matter the season, the view is spectacular. The food selection is excellent with lots of options. Our Sweet and Savory menu for our recent baby shower was delicious! Dan and Jennifer had our room set up when we arrived and helped us with some decorating questions. They were available during the shower and provided attentive service throughout our event. Lois was our event coordinator for the baby shower. Lois was a tremendous help to me in planning, organizing the shower details. We highly recommend hosting your next event at Arrowhead. There are many beautiful rooms to choose from and the food and beverage options will provide many different experiences. I recently invited 12 women to attend the dueling piano event at arrowhead golf club. I live just down the street, but had never been there before. Overall, I was pleased with the experience, however, one of the ladies in the group called the day of the event and informed us that she tested positive for covid. At the event, I let the woman at the front know the situation and asked her if there was anything they could do to reimburse the ticket. She said she would check but she didn't think it would be possible because all the food had been cooked already. I didn't end up hearing back that evening, so I called two days later. I spoke with the same person, Lauren. She mentioned that she was sorry she hadn't reached back out because she was busy with another event. She informed me that they wouldn't reimburse the ticket. With Covid as such a concern, I believe that it would be a best practice to offer some sort of solution. The ticket covered both the show and the dinner. I was told if they would have known a day or two in advance, it wouldn't have been an issue. Again, Covid isn't predictable and I would have expected with a group that size, there would have been some accommodation made. Very disappointing and not great customer experience. read more

I recently had my wedding here after a 2 year delay and 3 reschedules/cancellations. I ended up working with Lauren and Olivia and they were fantastic. Lauren truly thought of EVERYTHING and showed how incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and passionate she us about her field. Everything ran without a hitch and was perfect. We had our ceremony outdoors and it was beautiful and well coordinated. The bridal suite was perfect for what we needed, and the space was simple, elegant and well maintained which is exactly what we needed. Our guests loved the food and the balconies were a beautiful spot to escape to. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Arrowhead and how they supported us throughout pandemic wedding planning. I attended a banquet this evening at Arrowhead golf club and it was exceptional. The facility is very nice and extremely well maintained. I had the salmon and it was fresh and delicious with nice sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. The service was also great - brining the food out quickly and making sure everyone at the table was served at the same time. Large, excellent banquet space. Funky 27 hole course that was the Ladies Club in years before 60s, vacant then. Purchased by the Wheaton Park Diistrict & greatly enhanced ever since. I play at Glen Ellyn's Village Links though I'm a City resident. Separated 9 & 18 hole courses are more challenging. Grass driving range, putting green, sand trap, chipping green are excellent additions- better than the myriad of private CCs plentiful in the Western Suburbs. read more

I had delivery via Grubhub for dinner from here last night because I'll be honest, I had a taste for a soft pretzel and they had one on their menu! At $11 it is not the most cost-effective pretzel you will ever eat but it was very tasty, and big enough to share (though it was just me so I saved some for breakfast!) Came with honey mustard and cheese sauces as well if that's your jam. I also got the wings glazed in some sort of whiskey sauce (either Jim Beam or Jack Daniels); glaze was good but these needed to be crispier: the skin was a bit flabby. The wings were nice and meaty though. Accompanying these was a very tasty blue cheese sauce (I actually ended up using this on the pretzel too!) Unfortunately we had specifically made reservations through OpenTable as my party was looking for a breakfast option and I was happy that I could make reservations for Sunday at 11:00 AM. It wasn't until we sat down and was waiting for another party that we were informed by our server that they had just finished serving breakfast. Since we were waiting for the rest of our party and were on a time schedule we had no option but to order from their lunch menu which was ok considering this was not what my guests had a taste for. We enjoyed our dinner at Arrowhead Golf Club. We ate in the bar & had a nice round booth for four. We enjoyed chicken wings, chopped salad, Parmesan truffle fries, Buffalo chicken quesadilla, mahi tacos & tomato bisque. Everything was pretty good except for the soup. They had seasonal cocktails, which were ok, not great. The regular Cosmo was the best, the mule took second place & the Grinch & Jack Frost were so-so. FORE! Great food and warm hospitality are par for the course at this country club in Wheaton. Arrowhead is 1 of 4 venues being considered for our March 2020 wedding, largely because Nichole C and I attended the 2019 Yelpie Awards held in their upstairs ballroom. The carving station, mashed potato martini bar, and sweets table were all very memorable (the meal service in general was delightful). Fast forward seven months and we're scoping out potential places to hold a ceremony and reception for 75+ people. We came here on 8/17/19 to speak with an events coordinator and enjoy a bite of lunch, as well as redeem a voucher for a free 'small plate' at their restaurant. Once seated in the dining room, I got a pint of Allagash White ($6) and we ordered the seared tuna ($13.50) as an appetizer. Six perfectly bite sized wonton chips each had a large piece of sesame crusted ahi tuna, topped with Asian slaw, wasabi aioli, and a soy ginger sauce on the side. It was fabulous! My fiancée's "you pick two" lunch option ($10.95) echoed something you'd get at Panera, except tastier. She went with 1/2 grilled cheese and cup of tomato bisque (delicious) and a side of chips. I'm pretty sure the chips were homemade, cuz I ate ALL of them. My BBQ bacon burger ($13.50) was tasty, aside from missing the crispy onion hay! What gives?? It didn't have lettuce, tomato, onion or pickle (which I assumed were included). It came with a side of coleslaw and their signature 'sidewinder' fries, which were a funky -- and quite literal -- twist on the typical French fry. Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 4.5 Service was fine; a manager was able to clarify that our freebie voucher was good for anything on the 'starters' section (no exclusions, a $14 value!) I liked the dark wood in the bar area and the atmosphere in general. They've got cool golf decor and a well-stocked pro shop, too. * TL;DR * Between our past experience in the event space upstairs and this recent trip for lunch, I can happily give Arrowhead the full five stars. Staff were accommodating and the event planner we talked with was responsive in communicating with us. As for the possibility of holding our wedding here, money talks. The deposit was a whopping $2,300 (more than twice the other venues on our list) and the payment terms of 50% due in 6 weeks weren't very kind. If nothing else, we had two pleasant outings here, even if there won't be a third. read more

We were here for a funeral reception. The views are beautiful. The food was pretty typical of buffet fair. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Salad, three types of pasta, some bread, and some desserts. The bartender was super nice and handled our rambunctious crowd with grace. read more

What a great time I had here for the Yelp Elite Award Celebration. The First of the year!! And actually MY FIRST EVENT!! The facility was beautiful!!!! So spacious and the decor was very classy We took some time looking around at the venue-and it was really nice! One could easily have their wedding there and the reception. We noticed a bridal room that had couches and mirrors and even a sink. This place seems to be great for all sorts of events/parties. The rooms that we utilized for YELP were very nice. Decorated nicely and the staff were so kind. I even took pics with the bartenders. Dope people! The food served was not bad either-some wanted a selection of chicken, and if you loved bread-they had multiple yum options to select from. It was really eye pleasing the decor of the serving platters and such. Plenty to drink and eat. I really felt like I was attending a prom(but was horribly under dressed!) Lol Every one we came in contact with from Arrowhead met our needs or answered any questions we had. The celebration in itself was fantastic!!! This was a great venue to have such a celebration! We attended a wedding here on April 27, 2024 and is was lovely from start to finish. The outdoor ceremony venue was just like in the movies. The reception hall had a beautiful panoramic views of the golf course. The ladies room was spacious, elegant and kept spotlessly clean for the entire evening. I can only assume the men's room was the same. During the cocktail hour we were treated to wonderful passed appetizers in great abundance. The bartenders were excellent, always smiling with great attitudes and a good variety of liquors. The entire wait staff was outstanding. They were efficient and pleasant and very accommodating. All of the food was top quality, from the appetizers to the entrées, and the sweets table were all excellent with creative and beautiful presentations. My filet mignon was huge and done just the Way I like it, rare. read more

Golfing - Definitely one of the very best public golf facilities in Chicagoland. Driving range, putting green, sand and chipping all available for warmup. The courses are beautifully manicured, with reasonable rough and greens that are often puttable from deep off the collar. Even though most holes appear as straight away on the card, there is always a place or two on every hole where you can make a mistake. Some fun up and down elevations, interesting dog legs, and watery waggles in the fairways all combine to provide challenges and rewards. No houses to be seen anywhere; it's like playing out in the countryside. Delightful course. read more

The food is poor, service is slow (but nice!), and what else would you expect by this Government owned place? Head over to Adeles, Ivy, Burger Social, even Chili's, support a taxpayer entrprenuer and spend your money more wisely than we did. A beautiful venue for wedding, very elegant interior and scenic exterior. The wedding began with delicious hordourves, meat skewers, spring rolls and my favorite was scallop wrapped with bacon! The wedding hall were elegant by itself so all it needed was minimal decorations of flower petals and bouquets around. Later the hall partitions were taken out and transformed into a dining space. This took a while but when lunch reception came around, the salmon and beef were delicious. My steak was unfortunately well done and tough. But my wife's salmon was really fresh and great in flavor. read more

Ordered the southwest shrimp salad. Had black beans and corn etc. You'd reasonably expect the shrimp to have southwest seasonings and be grilled or at least warm, right? You'd be wrong. It's like the had shrimp from a shrimp cocktail and threw it on some salad greens. Awful and for that you pay $17. We haven't been back in months because it was mediocre food at exorbitant prices and now we won't be returning for many more months. Too bad because their patio can be lovely. read more
