I have golfed here many times over the past few years and heard great things about their wedding receptions, so knew that it would also be a great choice for a baby shower with friends and family. We booked our date about four months in advance and worked closely with the event coordinator, Róisín Daly who was outstanding throughout the entire process from start to finish. She provided a thorough checklist of how to prepare for the event, along with the materials they provide and anything additional we would bring. On the day of our shower, Róisín, Jennifer and Martin were all available to help us set up and ensure that the serving staff followed the timing of our schedule. The Gallery room was the perfect size for 60 of our guests, offering scenic views of the 1st and 10th holes of the golf course. Everyone raved about the presentation and quality of the food, from the appetizers to the beautifully plated main course. Following dessert, we had a couple hours to play some games, mingle, and enjoy ourselves. Our experience was truly seamless, with great communication from Róisín and a perfectly executed event by their entire staff. Our guests had a wonderful time and the feedback was extremely positive. We would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a classy event with friends and family, I can assure you we will be hosting more with them in the future. Thanks Róisín and team! My baked fish was tasty but came with a dried out baked potato and bland, over-steamed mixed vegetables. My husband had the Lenten fish and chips, with thick extra batter -two bites before fish was reached. The staff was excellent but won't be back.

For some reason didn't even know there was a golf course behind the building! What a great little course! Along part three it could be called. It is early in the season, but things look to be well kept. There were enough water challenges, and bunkers to keep you on your toes. It is pretty conveniently laid out course as well. No searching for the tea box in the next hole. The clubhouse is delightful. We did not sit in the dining area, but it looks comfortable and spacious. The bar is welcoming and warm. However, on this beautiful day, we sat out on the patio and had full service from the bartender, Gabi who was delightful and darn good at her job! Our foursome shared a fried pickle appetizer and the soft pretzels with beer cheese. They were delicious! The patio is so comfortable and overlooks the beautiful course. Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful afternoon and we will definitely be going back as the summer progresses.

A ROUND OF 9 Grab…read moreyour clubs and enjoy a breezy half-game at this public golf course in Bolingbrook. I must've driven past Boughton Ridge at least a hundred times by now--that's not to mention the 2-3 times I've been to Ashbury's, the sports bar inside the clubhouse--yet it wasn't until thsi past weekend that I finally hit the links with my dad & father-in-law, when we tee'd off around 11am on a Sunday in late July. Overall, the course is pretty nice. The fairways are in decent condition, although several tee boxes were roughed up and the putting greens had plenty of dark spots. The bunkers could use some TLC, too. There was a lovely fountain in the pond near Hole #7 and the waterways seemed well taken care of. Greens fees are a reasonable $18. You can rent a pull cart for $5 or a golf cart for $10pp (having caddied as a teen, I elected to save a few bucks by carrying my bag of clubs). I made some solid tee shots and a handful of good drives, even though I lost a ball in someone's yard and spent way too long in the sand trap on #6. Playing through 9-holes at Boughton Ridge takes roughly two hours, depending on the experience level of your group. The course is exclusively Par-3's and Par-4's, although a couple of the latter were long enough to be considered a Par-5. At some point the beverage cart swung by us, and the course ranger ensured a speedy pace of play. * TL;DR * Don't have 4+ hours to commit to a full 18 holes? A round at Boughton Ridge will get you home before lunch. The fairways and greens have plenty of divots, dings, dents and general wear-and-tear but that's to be expected on a public course (c'mon, this ain't Coeur d'Alene). Boughton Ridge is similar to Twin Lakes Golf Club in Westmont, though I think BRGC is more picturesque and challenging. I'd love to come back some day in the future, maybe once my little guy is old enough to read putts and swing a 3-iron.

We booked a 5:30 p.m. reservation on a weekend and we didn't realize that this place had a really really long line when it came to check again. We booked a reservation online and we assume that our reservation automatically started at set time but really it truly doesn't matter what time your reservation is because you could just show up whenever you want it doesn't mean you automatically start playing at the time you reserve. You more so just book everything in advance and just save yourself a few minutes. The waiting is really long as if you're waiting for your favorite ride at an amusement park but the line is an hour long. There's four different courses in each one is nine holes. I will say that the courses were really fun and is a unique spin on how to play mini golf which is way more entertaining than LIV golf. Sadly I lost but I had fun. The price point just to play is truly pretty fair for what it was worth. Right after booking our golf reservations we tried booking our dinner reservations as well but that turned into a big issue which made us call them to try to make us redo our reservation to dine in and when we were done playing the mini golf we had an issue trying to get our seat but it looked like my name was spelled wrong and I caught it when I noticed on her tablet which was corrected. Dining was a pretty good experience just because the server came up immediately after we were seated we couldn't even look at the drink menu but thankfully he was very friendly. They have vegan options for my wife which was the main reason why we dined in. Food was pricey, I did enjoy their non-alcoholic drinks but if I were to come back here, I might just come back on a weekday where is probably a bit more quiet and less hectic.

They were friendly and not pushy. After our first meeting, we knew we wanted to move ahead with booking. They are very organized and gave us a folder to walk through all components of the booking process. The wedding food tasting went well and on our wedding day, it tasted just like I remembered! Their food choices are extensive. They offer both plated meals as well as family style. We chose family style so we could try multiple options. Jessica was our wedding coordinator, and she was great. She was very responsive to emails. (That was the easiest way to communicate with her). Our day of coordinator was Jessenia, and she was great too. She ensured the room was set up to our liking and kept us organized. I also want to recognize the day of banquet staff, Serrano, Danielle, and Jon, for being amazing too. (There were a couple of more, but I didn't get their names) Cantigny was a blast to work with, and everything I requested for our special day was honored.

There are 3 9-hole courses, each with it's own quirks and challenges. I'd argue Lakeside is the hardest, but Woodside has some insanely difficult holes too. Regardless of your skill level, you will enjoy this place. It manages to honor the game but not be the slightest bit stuffy or snotty. Everyone that works here is hospitable and they have fun. Nice selection of drinks from the cart gals. Bartenders and servers are great, and the food is pretty good. Golf staff are great. My son (now 20) took lessons at the Academy as a kid and the lessons were worth every penny. If you are on the fence about this place because of the cost (it's not cheap)- it's worth it. If you're strapped for cash they have a pretty good twilight deal too. Definitely a bucket list course for anyone in Chicago.
