$19.00 martini as served. About an inch short of the rim.

Wow. Food okay. Server okay. TINY $19.00 Martini and a flat skunky beer. Salt grinder broken and spilled salt all over the table and plates. Great time playing miniature golf though. One and done.

The food was really good. Typical pub food. The server was great. She was really nice. The drinks were good too. Not too strong not too weak. The food came out HOT. Only thing is it's one team per hole and you have to wait until the party in front of you finishes. It can hold you up if it crowded. Only thing I didn't like. It was my first time, I didn't know what to expect. But I'd go back. It's a little pricey. I was able to catch a deal so I think I paid about $60 for my family of 4.

I've been meaning to check this spot out for the longest time since I've heard such good things! You make your time slot reservation online and check-in at the kiosk when you get there. You pick your putter and they give you your ball to play. There's a bar in the main area so you're welcome to purchase your beverage before starting your game. There's multiple courses and they're super fun and different than your usual mini golf course. There's a lot of tech involved so that the ball keeps track of your strokes and your score. It's affordable and such a fun activity to do with friends and family.

So this is really a pricey experience for what you get. I believe if they had better promotions we would visit a lot more. However my son does love it here. Many courses and we love how the electronic scoring works.

3.9.. Love the coat check option when you first walk in. The bar area is busy and great options. Most of the bar tenders were pleasant. Lots of seating areas around the golfing. I do feel that reservations for the golf should be a thing. (This is not a place or time to perfect your leisure skill) It was pretty crowded despite the constant moving in each golf area. People navigating selves, children, and drinking adults can make for a haphazard. There needs to be more structure in this area especially depending on how large your party is. The food my friends reported was good. The grill shrimp I actually tasted. Great grill flavor and presentation. The drinks were delicious and not too expensive. I feel like I would return for drinks and food.

This is a good hangout. A little putt putt while doing some gulp gulp, perhaps followed by some chomp chomp while yap yap with your posse or date, or both. Face it, we all need a loud atmosphere with food, fun, and music every now and then. A place to forget about your work week and let loose. If I let loose my pant button pops open...sorry. Don't sleep on their food, they really incorporated some nice plates from around the globe within their sharables. They have great salads and flatbreads too. If there is one pet peeve that my friends get tired of hearing about, it is the people stacking up behind you, waiting for you to finish your hole. This may be unavoidable with mini golf. Fortunately the type of crowd in Puttshack are more patient, happy..or maybe slightly boozed up, and thats cool. This is surely something you should try at least once.

We had a gift card and a visitor from out of the country. This was the perfect reason to pay a visit. Our group had five and two of them were children. We walked in without advance reservations on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to secure a booking within the next 20 minutes for the 9-hole game. We had a fun experience although it can feel a bit rushed when there are others waiting behind you. I think we took approximately 30 minutes to finish the game which is not a whole lot of time. We recently had a second visit on a Sunday morning for a birthday party. This was a more ideal experience for us because there was less people and we played at our own pace. This is particularly beneficial for young children who needs a lot of guidance on how to play. The food was served buffet style. We tried the pepperoni and cheese pizza, fried chicken bites with Thai chili sauce, fried shrimp, chicken quesadilla, chips and artichoke dip, and tater tots. Everything was the standard fare and served in a timely manner. Party attendees received a voucher to return for a free game. Our daughters had a wonderful time so we will definitely return.

Went here for a birthday party dinner with friends and the food was fantastic! We had the gyro, chicken and waffle and margarita flatbreads. We had Cobb salad and pad thai salad. All were shared and we loved it! Great flavor! Portion sizes were great too! Our server was fantastic! So great and we were taken care of well! Can't wait to go back and hit happy hour!

I just tried Puttshack in Oakbrook for the first time - and it was very fun! The downstairs area when you first walk in is a coat check, and then you take an elevator or the stairs to the actual place. This is an indoor mini golf space, with a bar and restaurant upstairs as well. You can put your groups name on a waitlist on their touch screen computers upstairs, or make a reservation in advance online. There are 9 holes per game that you get to play, the cool part about Puttshack is that the place keeps track of your score for you on screens at every hole through the balls they give you (no old school recording on pencil and paper), which is really convenient if you wanted to keep track of scores with your group. There are also 4 different places inside you can play 9 hole games at, the whole place is really cool to look at the theming of the games and the neon lights are really nice. All of the employees I encountered were pretty friendly and helpful if you had questions on how anything works. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you want to do some mini golf, it's even more fun if you have a group.

It was super fun here it's so cool that the balls track your progress and score so you don't have to, had a great time

I had a great experience at Puttshack! Second time here and this time it was on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty packed which I expected for a few days after Christmas. They have coat check when you walk in. On the second floor is where you do self check-in and then retrieve your balls and clubs. The overall set up is okay. It's a bit confusing especially if it's your first time here. The areas get pretty packed so I do think they should have less reservations arrive at the same time. Nonetheless, the games are fun and exciting and you can sip a drink while playing. I always opt to eat before or after playing, and I've enjoyed the meals I've ordered here. My mom has a few food allergies and the executive chef came to our table to tell her what meals she could safely eat. We were very impressed and grateful for the attention to customer service! Drinks are a little expensive for the place, in my opinion, but somewhere I will definitely come back to!

Wow, it was lively in there! We had a reservation for our large group, but unfortunately, there was a mix-up in their system, which delayed our seating quite a lot on that busy December weekend. As a result, our meals came out a little later than expected. Our waiter was friendly but took some time to get our orders, we received our food around 20 mins after ordering, except for 1 dish, which took quite a while to arrive. We were already running late for our putt-putt golf by the time it came! On the bright side, food was decent & not fast food quality, so it wasn't too bad! We managed to finish about 30-35 mins of putting golf for our 9 holes, which was fun! It's a good round of tech-infused indoor mini golf!

I had such a great time at Puttshack in Oakbrook it's one of those places that's way more fun than you expect. I went there for a party and had a great time. The concept of tech-infused mini golf mixed with food and drinks. Definitely a great spot for a group outing or a celebration!

Ask the Community - Puttshack - Oakbrook

Would this place be good for a nine and seven year old child?

Yes I have those ages and they love it. Expect about 30 min for mini golf and then make a reservation to eat. They love the food too. They also love immersive gamebox which is located in the same mall if you want to book before or after

Looking at photos, it appears there are lots of colorful lights; are any strobe/flashing? Asking as members of the potential party are photosensitive. Thanks.

Not that I can remember. There's definitely a lot of lights at each putt area, but not strobe.

Is this place family friendly for children around 2 years old?

If you go on "off days" and when they first open, taking your little one could be fun but the course is a little challenging for that age range I would say.

Are you able to do walk ins?

They are but depending on how busy, you might have to wait 30mins to two hours (according to the workers). Best reserve a time online

Your website says that it is $12 for one game. How many holes is considered "one game"? Is it really only 9 holes per game?

Yes. Only 9 holes. Takes about 30-45 min to complete with the crowds.

The course was that we were on was fun but if you're a good putter, I don't think it would be that challenging.

It was... disappointing and NOTHING like the real Drake…read more Honestly, upon arriving and seeing the place up close, I decided to leave and not stay after all. I can see where they are trying to go, but it's not there. The place is in disrepair if you pay attention at all (cracks, holes, chipped paint), a crappy elevator, there's even random crap thrown in a corner still in view of guest. If you want to be taken seriously, then handle all the stuff no one sees that isn't sexy, rather than just putting lipstick on a pig. There's no consistent theme. It's like 5 different people walked through a 2nd hand store in a rush, with no other options, so each picked what they found in their scavenger hunt and then threw it all together. It's a big space. The staff was great and welcoming. Seriously, they were solid. The place is a 2 star, but staff is worth another star. It just felt like coming to visit my aunt who doesn't get a lot of visitors so she threw everything in a closet knowing guest are coming over. We all have to ignore the smell and everything else. The stuff on the walls makes sense to her as they are her memories, but there's no theme other than her history, so none of it makes sense to anyone else. It's just awkward. The reason this place isn't booming is 100% on the owner. They are trying to look bougie, while ignoring real issues, and clearly in way over their head attempting to do way too much with too little. They need to take a loan or get an investor and make this place amazing. It could be, but it's not. Then again, not sure if the place they dream of could survive in that area as the prices would need to double and the area may not be willing to pay. Potential investors may have said the same. I see the vision, but also see the reality, which just frustrated me as there was conflict around every corner. Also, the bar closes early at like 8 or 9pm. Additionally the upgraded rooms with "garden view" are anything but. The actual room is good. The detached building however looks like it was a nursing home that's never been changed or upgraded; at least on the outside and entrance. When you walk in the front door of said nursing home, it SMELLS like a nursing home. It was strong and not in a good way. When you are in your room and look outside at the "garden view", it's a crappy 1/2 wall that appears to have been designed and built as a favor by a drunk uncle who was in a rush. It's very small and insignificant. It's an eye sore, but the "garden" is actually just the back yard looking directly into a crappy middle class neighborhood of back yards. All in all, my "get away" upgraded experience felt more like a motel 6 with a $1,000,000 dream on a $500 budget.

We stayed two nights at The Drake Oak Brook on a trip in for a concert at Allstate Arena, and by…read morethe end of it, we were already talking about when we'd come back. This is a hotel where the staff is genuinely the star. The valet, a seasoned guy with a classic Chicago accent, was warm, quick with recommendations, and set the tone the second we pulled up. The front desk matched him. For a four-diamond property at around $200 a night, it punches well above the price. The property itself earns its reputation. The landscaping is beautifully kept, with a gazebo and plenty of outdoor seating that works for a quiet morning coffee or an evening drink. Inside, the lobby has what look like Chihuly-style glass sculptures and a mid-century-Chicago kind of grandeur -- you can tell this place has hosted a lot of weddings and receptions, and it would be great for them. Our room was impressive. No real view, but the finishes were strong, the shower was good, and, a minor miracle, the TV actually worked and streamed without a fight. The in-room drink cart was generously stocked with pre-made cocktails and select wines, a nice touch you don't see often. The bar downstairs was a highlight: the "skeleton key" in the room unlocks a free off-menu drink, which is exactly the kind of small-theater move that makes a hotel feel like it has a personality. Our Platinum Marriott status got us a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast, and they were generous with points on top of that. The breakfast was nice -- though I'll be honest, I wouldn't have paid $24 for the quality of their continental spread without the comp. Parking was easy, valet is free, and the gym has Peloton bikes (we didn't use them, but good to know). 3.7 stars overall. The honest gripes: doors on the east building are thin. We could hear hallway conversations clearly, and at times other rooms, not a dealbreaker this time as people were quiet at a reasonable time, but surprising for a property at this level. The exterior lighting has also not been maintained, bulbs are out around the building, and only the "th" in the classic mid-century "The Drake" sign was lit up, which is a shame because that sign is a whole vibe when it's fully on. Also, fair warning: a traveling baseball team had effectively colonized the bar during our stay, with a swarm of tired kids and tireder parents. Not the hotel's fault, but worth knowing if you're coming for a quiet getaway during kids baseball season. What would push it to four stars: better sound insulation on the east-side rooms and a maintenance pass on the exterior lighting. Both are fixable, and the rest of the experience is already there. We'll likely be back.
