The Belmont is that rare. phenomenon that nails atmosphere, service, and food all at once. The moment you enter, you feel like you're transformed into a different era. From the red leather booths to the lavish chandelier. A jazz and vintage speakeasy vibe sets a glamorous tone. The steaks are phenomenal and perfectly cooked. All the pasta is hand rolled in-house and the black truffle Tagliatelle is to die for. Great addition to Downtown Naperville read more

5 stars for Tony the manager! We were watching the Bears game and our server had an off night. She was definitely trying, but there were some hiccups that affected us to the point of needing to speak with someone. Tony happened to be walking by, so I flagged him down. He listened patiently, spoke to his staff, and took care of us. Mistakes happen, we're all human; but the way he went about it was definitely appreciated. We'll be back! read more

Hubby and I went for a quick bite. we realized kitchen might've been closed for the evening and we were ok with that. hubby doesn't drink but i had one, and it was maybe the saddest drink i've had in a long time. i got a whiskey sour and the first key i should've had was that it wasn't in a standard whiskey glass. it basically tasted like straight lemon juice with half of a shot (if that's even possible??) of makers in the cup. it was in a standard soda cup that restaurants give you. bball game was nice though. but this place needs to provide security for the female bartenders at the end of the night. i didn't see anyone in there but her. i was a little worried about her safety considering the gender demographic that was in there that night. read more

I can't believe this is my first time at Hizemans! I stopped in late night to watch a NBA game and have some dinner. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how vast the menu is. It made choosing what to eat pretty difficult. I ended up going with the shrimp tacos and they were perfection! I don't know what I enjoyed more, the sauce on the shrimp or the slaw on top. My husband had a burger and he said it was quite delicious as well. We also ordered a couple of cocktails. I can't remember what they were called, but they were pretty tasty. The bartender was really nice and helped me choose my cocktail. She also made some modifications to fit my taste. I have to say this has to be one of the cutest sports bars I've been to. I can't wait to go back to Hizemans and try more of the menu! read more

Service was a bit slow and inattentive (my water was never refilled for instance). The Shishito Philly was good but a little one note. Mabe roast the peppers more and put more of them on it? Also needs something else to elevate it. The waffle fries were great. For me the beer list is pretty bad. A couple local flagship beers. They seem more geared toward hard liquor. read more

We've come to Hizemans a couple of times but recently went back for brunch. Their burgers were really good! I had the Gonzo and my husband had the Hizeman and we both really enjoyed them! The Mac and cheese donut was also delicious and surprisingly filling. Totally forgot to take pics of the burgers but scored one of the donuts! Pretty cool spot, they are the same group that owns Empire which is also in DT Naperville. Very lively spot to catch sport games, fun atmosphere with large TVs and well lit. We went there on a Sat to catch the football game and it was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated. Food was alright and they had a good beer and drink selection. We ordered the shrimp tacos, great size, but the sauce on it was a bit too heavy and spicy for me (some people may like that though). We also had the shishito philly - it was ok, but didn't have a ton of flavor. My husband had to ask for some sauce for it, if you feel the same - get the Hizeman sauce they make inhouse, it was pretty good with that added to it. What I thought was really cool about this spot is that on Sat, they bring in a DJ around 9:30-10pm ish and it turns into a dance lounge. Music was good and we had a lot of fun :) There are quite a few college kids that come in for this. Everyone just hangs out and its a chill vibe overall. read more

Overall the place is cool, but I'm not sure too sure about the food. It could've been the night we stopped by or even just what I ordered. There is a bar on wide side of the restaurant with TVs along the wall so you won't have to worry about not being able to watch the game. Their menu is limited, but there is something for everyone just not an extensive menu. As for food, it was okay. I ordered the Shishito Philly and it was very bland. I was hoping to enjoy it, but was disappointed and it wasn't worth $18. I requested their house sauce, which is similar to the Big Mac sauce to help with the flavor and it helped a little. Their drinks on the other hand are good. We ordered the Marg Cuban & Figgy Wit It. Both were great and highly recommend it. On the weekends, from 9:30-2am they remove all the tables in the middle of the dining to prep for nightlife dj music. The night we were there, the crowd was very chill. It was a good group of people. Went for dinner and a cocktail. Had the drink called the Repo Man. Very refreshing and tasty. Well priced for what it was. On Wednesdays they have $10 burgers so we took advantage of that. I had the patty melt, and it was wonderful. Great combination of meat grilled to perfection served on Texas toast. I added a side of waffle fries that were very good... But a small portion given the fact that they added a three dollar up charge for them - and that is any day of the week ... not just during the specials. Could've gone for a few more of the fries. Definitely worth visiting. read more

We passed by this morning thinking the menu sounded delicious so we stopped by for dinner. The Mac and cheese donut was beautiful but the flavor was below expectations. My husband got the Naperdog and said it was pretty good. I got the shishito philly and it was pretty meh and soggy. It came with a side of fries. Pretty soggy too. I would've loved a crisp bite to pair with the philly... This place was packed and most of the reviews are good. Maybe we should order the wings if we decide to go back. Other than food taste, the hostess was very kind and the food came out pretty quick. read more

We decided to go for drinks Friday night here. We did not have a reservation, but they were able to sit our party of 8 right away around 8:30 pm. By 9, they started to remove the center tables and seats at the bar to open the dance floor up, and the dj came. Luckily, since our table was to the back, we did have a seat the whole time. We tried a few different cocktails on the menu when there. The Da Pears and Marg Cuban were delicious. At a certain point, they do take the menu away, and you can no longer order the specialty cocktails listed. You have to get your drinks at the bar. Everyone there was extremely friendly. If you arrive after 8:30pm, expect to be patted down before entering and show your ID. read more

Service is pretty sketch. When I got there a couple sitting next to me felt bad that I have been waiting so long before I even got a menu. So they gave me theirs and they hadn't even ordered yet. After finally getting a drink, I waited 15 to 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and she had left the bar. I went up to the manager who was casually standing in the back talking to the other employees and told him I was interested in just closing out. Not much interest in trying to make right by the situation. Wouldn't recommend at all. read more

My friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday at around 6:30pm. We had originally come just for dinner, but stayed for some dancing (because apparently it turns into a mini club after 9. Who knew?!).. We were seated right away to eat. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. We didn't feel rushed at all. For appetizers we ordered the pork fries and the mac n cheese donuts. The pork fries were amazing! The pork was salty and sweet, cooked tender and just melted in your mouth. The fancy sauce was creamy. I tried the mac n cheese donuts even though I typically wouldn't eat anything like this. I am not a huge fan of hot cheetos, but this was actually pretty good. There was a nice kick without putting my mouth on fire. The ranch really elevated the flavor as well. For my entree, I got the california chopper which is a grilled chicken salad with bacon, avocado, egg, and tomato topped with a creamy avocado dressing. I did not get this to be "healthy", but really wanted something fresh. The grilled chicken was charred and super flavorful. Everything was very fresh and delicious. I was very happy with my choice. For my drink, I got the la palma, a special. I was a bit disappointed. Mine was filled only halfway up the glass even though everyone else's drinks were filled to the top. It tasted ok, but wasn't too bad. I ended up getting hard seltzers the rest of the night. If we had ended the night here, it would have been an easy 5 stars for me. However, we ended up staying for the "club" portion which made me give them a 4. We saw staff moving tables and wondered what was happening. Apparently they turn into a "club" after 8 or 9 pm. This saturday they had a DJ. We decided to stay a bit after we paid for our food to check it out. First, they move all the tables in the middle of the restaurant to the back and just kind of stack them. Then, they move all the chairs at the bar so the only places to sit are the booths. The bar is just standing. I didn't see them asking anyone to move, so they let you take your time to finish before moving the tables and bar stools. It was weird how they just stacked everything though. This took up valuable standing room which may have allowed for more dancing. Also, which didn't make any sense to me, was they used the largest portion of the space to stack these chairs and tables. This would have been a much better place for the dance floor. Instead, the dance floor was closer to the front and a bit small. This meant everyone was packed like sardines and bumping into each other. They had to constantly move people away from the DJ since no one was honoring the barrier. Its hard to blame them though since the tables and chairs were taking up so much space, there wasn't much room for them to go. It was nice they had a big TV on the wall playing music videos of all the music they were playing. Overall, I will probably come back for the food, but not the dancing. read more

Saturday night playdate here was a perfect local, urban restaurant / bar club. We got seated around 7:30ish after a 45 minute wait on reservation. ( Visit my page for the pre-game drink!). I WOULD RECOMMEND MAKING A RESERVATION TO GET IN WITHOUT WAITING OUTSIDE! After 9ish, the restaurants turns into a dance floor. KITCHEN CLOSES AT 11PM. We caught the Duke vs. North Carolina game here tonight-- Had a great turnout! LOUD, ACTIVE SPORTS BAR ENERGY. Drinks 1. " Haterade" (9/10 -- juicy and had a edgy complex.. like a hater haha) 2. Marg Cuban (6/10 -- bitter and very .. bitter; strong neither the less though) 3. 24K (7/10) --- not really flavorful to me. an acquired taste kind of drink. Recommend: 8/10-- Vibes were alive. Urban crowd. FUN NAPERVILLE DANCING BAR! Will come again! Next time, I want the California Chopper! YUM! read more

Have now come here a handful of times. Service has always been good. I love the atmosphere especially for sports watching. They have so many TV's it's amazing. They also have really good drinks. Came in on a Wednesday night and it wasn't crowded at all. Was greeted quickly and sat in a booth. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She allowed me to try the dreamsicle-like drink but it was a bit watered down for my liking. I ended up ordering the Katy Peary and it was good and strong! Ordered the 3 wings and boy were they massive. I will say, they were fried to perfection and well done in the inside. Definitely NOT overcooked. I also ordered the Buffalo Chix Waffle Fries. Hizeman's is a great spot for beers and sports, but not for food. The menu fools you because it has so many fun and exciting choices but the flavors do not live up to the hype. The only enjoyable dish was the mac'n'cheese donut. Otherwise the rest of the food was served on stale bread, over salted, and had no flavor. Definitely would not recommend this as there's other sports bars that serve better food. Also when we first sat down and opened our menus they were filthy and covered in food - covid or not that's just gross read more

Went to Hizemans for lunch. We got there around 11:20 and there was no one in the place. We got our choice of tables. They have tons of huge tvs so I am sure the place gets packed during prime games. This place is a championship winner! We were just there this past Tuesday which was our 2nd visit this month. The ambiance is bright and vibrant. The TVs are huge and high quality and there is not a bad seat in the house if you want to catch a game. The music is modern and the place is clean and inviting. With both visits our servers were bubbly, nice and extremely attentive. 2 separate managers also checked in with our table and were genuinely interested with our experience. So far we have ordered wings in the Buffalo and Honey Siracha. They were cooked really well and were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They come 3 huge pieces to an order for $14 but they are the entire wing with tip, flat and drum attached. My wife has had the California Chopper Salad and Buffalo Salad and she was really happy with both of them. I have had the Shishito Philly and the Shrimpo sandwich. I got the waffle fries for my side and they were great. The Shishito Philly was delicious and the there is a surprise smear of cream cheese added for some richness. The Shrimpo aka shrimp po-boy came with a lot of large and nicely breaded and fried shrimp. The slaw on top added a nice citrus to help add extra texture. I'd say the amount of slaw was a little heavy handed but it was easy to take some off myself. Do yourself a favor and end the meal with the Funnel Fries! They are heavily dusted in a sugar coating and served with warm dark chocolate. As for Covid measures, everybody in the front area of the dining/bar area were always masked up. The tables were not seated to where everybody was crammed near one another. The only one negative which is a peeve of ours is when drinks come with a lime that are past there prime. When a lime is brownish and clearly dry don't use it anymore. Just cut a fresh new one. read more

Came here for my birthday with my BFF, Kalie. Our server was Marissa, very friendly and attentive. For drinks we ordered the Haterade (vodka, razzmatazz, Prosecco, pineapple juice, and sprite rimmed with sugar.) It was v refreshing, I def had more than one. For appetizers we ordered the honey butter chips (wavy chips drizzled with honey, sriracha, sea salt, and fancy sauce aka ranch) they were pretty great, but the all star app was the mac n cheese donuts (okay these things look like (2) donuts but it's just flaming hot Cheetos breading with Mac n cheese and green onion stuffed inside and a side of ranch) SO GOOD!! For dinner we got salads, we were pretty stuffed by now, but that didn't stop us lol. I ordered the Good Buffalo Salad (fried chicken, cheddar, charred corn, carrots, tomato, avocado, romaine, fancy sauce, and Buffalo drizzle) I did not get tomato or carrots on it. REALLY good, the only downside would be that the avocado chunks are a mouth full if you don't mash them down enough. They come in little square cubes, but are easily taken out or mashed to perfection. Kalie got the Bad Goat Salad (fried goat cheese, watermelon, pine nuts, red onion, mixed greens, balsamic reduction, and honey drizzle.) She really enjoyed it and was surprised by how much she liked the pine nuts, which she had never tried before. The downfall was the dressing, she recommends getting it on the side and trying it first. It was too savory for a sweeter salad. The vibe was super chill, yet lively for a game night. The menu wasn't overwhelming at all. Will def be back to try more!! read more
