Let me start by saying this is the best dining experience in 2026 for me so far. Our attendant, Maria, was fantastic. She was very attentive and recommended some really good dishes. The venue was very nice at the top of a hotel with a very nice view of Naperville and the Riverwalk. Let's start with my favorite dishes. The mahi mahi ceviche, braised beef, and octopus dish was fantastic. The braised beef was cooked perfectly, ceviche was popping with flavor and the octopus was very fresh. We did get the skirt steak and branzino. The skirt steak was a little bit overcooked to my liking. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and crispy but the portion was small.. Had dinner at Santa Cielo in Naperville and honestly it blew us away. We ordered the empanadas, shrimp tacos, hanger steak, pork shank, and a few cocktails and every single thing that came to the table was incredible. Not one miss. The empanadas were perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, the shrimp tacos were fresh and balanced, the hanger steak was cooked exactly right, and the pork shank was fall-apart tender and easily one of the best dishes we've had in a long time. The cocktails were just as good as the food, which says a lot. You can tell there's real attention to detail across the whole menu. On top of that, the space itself is beautiful. Really unique interior, great atmosphere, and an awesome view right over the river that makes the whole experience feel even more special. This place is beautiful inside, a very trendy relaxed vibe. The music is too loud to hear conversation, though. The outer walls are all windows and if they don't have the shades down it's easy to get extremely hot while having blinding sun directly in your eyes. I'm kind of torn about this place because the appetizers, brussel sprouts and bao, were both extremely oversauced. We tried three cocktails, one was good, one was mid and one was absolutely revolting - it tasted exactly like a Band-Aid smells. Service throughout was great and everything was timed out well. Within minutes of being seated our server came by to greet us and explained the menu since this was my first time there. The 1 thing I wish they would have done was do a little something for my mom since this outing was my Mother's Day gift to her. I did mention that was why we were there, but nothing. We still had a nice time either way though. We shared 3 items - ham empanadas, the veggie omelette, and the churro French toast. My favorite item was the ham empanadas. It was full of flavor, the dough was cooked perfectly and the sauce had the perfect amount of heat to it. Sadly I would completely pass on the veggie omelette going forward. The eggs were over cooked and lacked flavor. The dish was very bland and desperately needed salt, pepper, any type of seasoning to it. My husband took me here for my birthday dinner, and it was a nice experience. The restaurant is located on the fifth floor of a hotel, and you will get fantastic views if you come around sunset. Their menu was creative, and their kitchen has huge window, an open-ish kitchen, when diners can observe the chefs blacken pita in their huge oven. That's why I loved the grilled flatbread with blackened avocado, pickled fennel, and greens (dish #1) and the cucumber, avocado, red onion, serrano, cilantro, and lime salad (dish #6). The brightness of the greens with lime juice and serrano peppers made the flavors pop. The churrasco was the priciest thing that we ordered, and it was not my favorite even though my husband really enjoyed the sausage and the meat. I enjoyed the punchy, sour flavors the most, and feel like some Mexican/Latin American cuisines do that really well... playing with acidic, spicy, notes that will make you pucker, or take another of your cocktail, err water... to wash things down. I wish we were seated next to the window because the sun was setting and it was a beautiful night, and it was a special occasion. While we had a reservation, I'm not sure if you had to specify a preference for being seating by the windows, but I would recommend mentioning that preference when making a reservation online. My party of 14 chose Santo Cielo for a brunch morning. The drinks, food and service were top tier. We only had to wait a couple of minutes for our table, once seated we were immediately greeted by the waiter who was very knowledgeable on drinks and food. Some of us shared plates and others ordered their own. All had nothing but great things to say. A couple items that were highly reviewed were the chilaquiles and salmon chorizo biscuit and gravy. This restaurant wasn't the most intuitive to find. We entered the hotel on the second floor through the garage entrance and we didn't see any sign designating which elevators led to the restaurant. We tried one set, decided it wasn't correct, and then walked to the other set to finally see the sign next to the elevators only. A sign at the entrance directing you to the correct elevators would be helpful. Upon entering, we thought the restaurant was well decorated, had excellent lighting, amazing views of the riverwalk, and had a young and modern- yet sophisticated aesthetic. As far as our actual dining experience, I had the OG sangria which wasn't to my personal taste but I could acknowledge it was a quality drink. Maya, our server, was wonderful. She took the drink off our tab after I told her my opinion. Not only that, but she was also extremely attentive, answered all of our questions, and generally a charismatic person. She enhanced our experience. The food was not as good as expected. The gnocchi with short rib (which I looked forward to most) had too much vinegar for our taste. The gratinada maiz was tasty, but reminded me a lot of corn casserole. The patatas fritas (French fries) were okay for French fries but not great at all for a Spanish tapas restaurant. I did not like their bravas sauce. Those are not worth wasting your appetite on. We did really like the banana leaf braised pork dish. That had a lot of food, strong and savory flavors, very satisfying. Overall, we probably would come back only for drinks and an appetizer because the views and service were great. Went there for the very first time recently. You can either do a paid valet or park at the garage for free. This place is located on the top floor of the hotel. I would recommend making reservations as they don't have much space. If you can get a table next to the window you will appreciate the setting even more. This place is crowded and tables are very close to each other. One thing I did not like was I would very easily hear the conversations of people on both sides of our table and we were almost touching elbows. Food is above average but nothing very exciting. The menu is divided into small plates and large plates. I was disappointed in the quantity of food in their large plate. On a positive note, their drinks were really good. Service was very slow but was courteous. Overall I have mixed feelings about this place. I may go back there at some point in a year or so. Overall the experience for appetizers was great. I unfortunately got the hangar steak, which tasted off. After reading about it, hangar steak typically has a hint of "liver" taste but if it's sour or overbearing, it's bad. I fortunately sensed that things were turning bad from worse and cleared it out of my system later in the evening. Reading other reviews it sounds like others had similar experiences with it. After a bit of a demeaning exchange, and a bit of gaslighting from the waiter, he was kind to not charge the hangar steak. He relayed the chef said nothing was wrong with it. Likely trained to do so due to it being Naperville, and people around here like to sue. I'm more forgiving and know mistakes happen. A bit surprising to provide hangar steak given that it has a propensity to "go bad" or taste "off" more than say something like skirt or, flank steak. The ambiance is the high point. Hopefully after some time will be worth coming back as the appetizers, rest of entrees the party got like "short rib", ambiance, are excellent. read more

Goes down smooth Bourbon old fashioned - this packs a punch and I liked that the ice cube was super clear and it had an original maraschino cherry Shrimp and Jicama Tacos - very flavorful and light. I loved the spicy ness with the creamy avocado Gua Bao - I usually don't like green onions but I liked the crunchy scallions paired with the fatty and vinegary pork belly Short Rib Gnocchi - I thought the gnocchi would be a bit more creamy but it was also a bit acidic. I understand the choice here since the short rib was super tender with some fat Hangar steak - perfectly cooked and it was just the perfect bite with steak, greens, potato, and the flavor bomb of chimichuri sauce Chocolate tart - I was so disappointed by this and would not recommend. I liked that the chocolate wasn't too sweet, but there was barely any saltiness to the ganache and the crust was rock hard. The crust tasted like nothing. No butter, salt, dough flavor. Nothing. Wanted to give an update to my review after the management team graciously reached out about their concerns about my experience. I finally had a chance to return and I will say the experience was 100% better. Our server, Karen was amazing, so upbeat and her energy was great. She was knowledgeable and shared her favorite items, checked back with us frequently and made a great impression while mango g other tables on a busy evening. We tried different t items on the menu from last, I still had some of the same cocktails from before and they were much better.
