Having a best friend who is sober, I've been to a lot of bars and tried a lot of N/A cocktails. Quiubo is a favorite of hers so we go often. They have a couple of N/A cocktails that are really delicious using N/A spirits. They might cost $13 each, but at least they don't taste like you're drinking a Snapple. As a former bartender, she's really picky about her mocktails. We like to sit at the bar for drinks and chips/guac, but we come here for tacos and esquites sometimes too. It's a great restaurant with great food and service On nice days, sit outside. It's covered and shaded and a nice way to have lunch or dinner

Comfortable restaurant near the Naperville downtown River walk. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for outside and it was a great day for it. There were some showers for 5 minutes but the outdoor seating had a cover so we did not get even a drop on us. It took a few minutes for our server to get to is, though she was friendly and provided good service once she started interacting with us. We order the Trio Botanero and half order of Cecina, Pollo Asado, and Pastor. All the food was great! Favorite was probably the Cecina. The meat was so tender and flavors balanced so well. All three are good choices!

Who doesn't ask a taco place is they have Taco Tuesday deals? Yuuup, this gal right here. Don't be me, lol, make sure to see if they have any deals if dining in on a Tuesday. And please let me know if they have any, haha. If you're looking for a city-ish vibe without the paid city parking Quiubo is the place for it. There is plenty of parking lots within walking distance and also street parking (if lucky, you'll be able to snag a spot). This place is cute and gives off a 'I'm at an all inclusive resort' vibe. Within seconds of walking in my friend and I were greeted by a staff member and seated. Service throughout was pretty good, our server checked in on us the perfect amount. Our app took a bit to come out but other than that everything else was timed out well. I started with the mango mamon cocktail. This drink is tequila based and fruity. I enjoyed it! For food we started out with the chicken flautas. They did NOT look appealing and unfortunately it also fell short. The chicken was waaaaaay overcooked. The green sauce was good but this is something that I would pass on going forward. We then ordered 2 full orders of tacos - pescado and the bien trucha. Both were very delicious and flavorful. The reason why I took off 1 star - Quiubo is on the pricey side with small portions. I understand quality over quantity but is it THAT good given the steep prices and small portions? Meh, IDK

Went here for the first time with our family and Quiubo is amazing! We have lived in Naperville for about six months and moved out here from southern CA which is the US capital of Mexican food and I can say Quiubo can definitely compete! The ambiance and crowd is amazing and the servers/staff were incredibly attentive. The guacamole trio was great (had to ask for more chips a couple times because the proportion of chips to guacamole was too small). Got a margarita which was great. We also got the bien trucha tacos and the carnitas tacos and both of those tasted amazing. I don't know why some people give this place a low rating because yes the food can be pricey but it is top quality. If you want cheap Mexican food and don't care about cleanliness and atmosphere, go to a hole in the wall. If you want good, Mexican food and drinks, amazing ambiance, and quality food, go to Quiubo.

    Bien trucha: top Barbacoa: bottom

Server is really kind great service 10/10 reason I came back. Time to receive food was about 5-8 minutes not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. Watermelon margarita doesn't fail me 8/10. Ordered Half orders of Playero taco: shrimp so good! The sauce was delicious great flavor profile Bien trucha: it was much better the first time but still good Pastor: 8/10 not too oily and great flavor Barbacoa: 7.5/10 I'd definitely order the playero and al pastor again.

This place is a vibe! Just went for birthday drinks. Staff and bartender were very friendly. Will definitely be going back to dine there soon.

Everything came out incredibly fast. The tacos, corn and margaritas were all really good. The Diablo does pack a little bit of heat tho. If you come on Tuesday they have deals for tacos and margaritas.

Classic good not great spot. Menu consists of a variety of tacos and a few sides. We went with a spread of tacos and sides of rice and beans; the favorites were the bien trucha & fish. Our server was excellent, she definitely bumped up the rating. Pretty pricey for the amount of food but it is downtown Naperville.

I was invited here for a group event and was excited to try it when I found out it's a sister restaurant to Bien Trucha in Geneva which I love. The food and service was outstanding. Wait staff walked around with trays of cocktails first. I chose the Blood Orange Spicy Margarita which had just the right amount of spice. When they brought out Creamy Pimento Soup I said that I would pass because I was gluten free but the waiter said he would check and came back smiling to tell me to enjoy it because the soup was gluten free. Every waiter that came by after that told me what was gluten free...they passed the word! Impressive! Fun decor and nearby free parking garage also make this restaurant a go to in Naperville.

Quiubo- I still don't know how to pronounce that word! The food is good. Overpriced, absolutely- for the portion size. Tacos are 1/2 order (2 tacos) = $11 or full order (4 tacos) = $18. Guac is $11 for an ice cream scoop of cold guac- I'm happy to pay a premium for guac... because they're making it table side... but Quiubo seems like they're profiting off people "always" ordering the guac so they make a bunch, throw it in the fridge and then serve it up. Also the amount of chips with the teeny scoop of guac was ridiculous for $11! Two of us ended up ordering 2 orders of guac! $22! The tacos were basic- the main protein with one thing on top. I got the shrimp tacos with a slice of avocado on top. My friend got the steak tacos with a slice of pineapple on top. Nothing warranting that price tag. $66 for 2 people without alcohol. I'll skip this place next time:(

Cool location, ambiance and food is very good. Small portions for $$$. If you have a problem with small portions this is not your place. I had a few different baby street tacos. Would have loved the fish to have been grilled and not fried but it was good. The mushroom one was very good too. I was not Full but satisfied. Great service. Bien trucha group so familiar when I was eating there.

Yummy tacos and a Pepino margarita SPICY
    Cassandra D.

Ugh so yum. I came here with my mom for the first time a while ago! I haven't stopped thinking about the Pepino margarita (I asked for the jalapeño infused liquor and it was actually spicy but like.. still sooo good.) The tacos were so yummy too! I didn't get the try any of the apps but they looked great as well. We tried a variety of tacos (maybe a total of 4-5 different ones) and all were very tasty. I think maybe one of those 5 I would give a 6/10 but the rest were undoubtedly delicious. The only downfall to this place is pricing but that's what you get for quality food in a boujee location!! I also like that you can order tacos in groups or 2 or 4. I'm telling you this place is a more upscale, more delicious version of Fat Rosie's with better ambiance and nicer staff!!

I was waiting patiently to be served - not saying a word - and finally he came by me and raised his voice to me in a disrespectful tone saying that he is not serving me because he came by me twice and I wasn't paying attention. So, I waved to the other bartender who was female and she politely served me. I also found out that same male bartender kicked out two other friends of my friend I was with for no reason. Plus, when I reconciled my receipts the next day, I discovered that in my "not paying attention," they handed me two other receipts to sign which totaled about $80.00. (At the time, I thought maybe they were just helping each other out with ringing my order up) There's NO way I ordered that much, because it was SO crowded, I couldn't get served more than once, so that's why we left. So, basically I was robbed $80.00, because I wasn't "paying attention." Both receipts say "Potter's Place," even though we were upstairs at Two-Nine, and that's what it says on my credit card statement. Potter's Place was closed downstairs. I have one receipt that makes sense to what I normally order that says "Two-Nine". So on my credit card statement, I have one charge that says "Two-Nine," then two that say "Potter's Place." They scammed me. NEVER again.

Altavida's concepts for the three levels are Publico, Rumba, and Altura. Publico (1st Flr)- A South American fusion of food and drinks that will be rotating. The cocktails will be more tequila and mezcal based and food will be subtly rotated based on trends happening in South America. The food menu currently offers tapas, empanadas, ceviche, guacamoles, larger format meat/seafood entrees, and more. They will have a front of our bar as well as a back bar that will specialize in more coffees/coffee cocktails. Rumba (2nd Flr)- The entertainment floor! There is a separate bar on this floor that will specialize in more Rum based cocktails. Additionally, they will have a wine bar area with wines in tap. Lastly, they will have an open area for live music as well as dancing. Their hope is to have a mix of jazz, club music, salsa dancing options available. Altura (3rd Flr)- This floor is still under construction but will have a rooftop patio. The hope is that this space will be an event space both for public and private events. Back to my experience! My partner and I stopped in for a cocktail and to see what Altavida was about. Our first bartender was very nice but was still getting used to the drink recipes and was leaning on their cheat sheets. While we waited, another bartender kindly told us all about the restaurant and its focus on hospitality. Unfortunately, each bartender had a slightly different explanation of the restaurant's goal concepts which was confusing. We ended up ordering the El Toro and Vaquero (both mezcal drinks). Both were VERY spirit forward to the point that it may have needed better balance. Both drinks had a nice presentation with garnishes, color, and a skull feature at the bottom of the glass. Lastly, we saw many people walk up and look confused as there was no formal host stand. They didn't know if they should seat themselves or wait for someone. Overall, there still seems to be some kinks needing to be worked out as well as some conceptual editing. I feel they are trying to achieve too much and it ends up being confusing for staff and guests. I hope with time, Altavida is extremely successful in the Naperville area and I hope to circle back after some time passes.

Edwin, the general manager was so friendly and accommodating by making sure that everything was to our liking. He is a gem. My husband and I ordered a few different tapas to share. We started with the empanadas and they were truly 10/10, highly recommend! We had the beef and chicken with the chimichurri sauce. We also tried the papas bravas and those were delicious as well. They are spicy and have a nice kick. The portion is pretty big and shareable. Last, we had chicken en mole. Omg, so good! They knocked it out of the park with this one. The presentation is very pleasing and the flavor is 10/10! I'm a hot sauce girly and even carry it in my bag just in case. The sauce they had in the dish was so good that I didn't even think about adding hot sauce! The rice and chicken along with the sauce is chef's kiss. I also tried the Brussels sprouts but they were my least favorite of everything. They should go back to the drawing board on that one. The drinks we had were solid. My husband had an espresso martini and dragonfruit margarita, while I had a mango margarita. All were good. Needless to say, I had an amazing evening at Altavida! The dancing on the second floor was also very fun and entertaining. I will definitely be a regular here!

Beers, wines, and champagnes use an RFID card, and you pay by the ounce (or fraction thereof). The good news is you can try a bonafide sip of just about everything and anything without feeling bad. The bad news is that while the cost isn't high, if you're not careful, it adds up quickly. I truly did enjoy the variety, and especially loved that they have the special glassware, complete with bases, that you may pour yourself a flight. I also enjoyed seeing how everything was organized by category, so that you may find something more your speed rather than a recent brewery experience where I am looking for something that isn't an IPA. For food, I ordered the Brussels Sprouts. While not mind-blowing, these were above average. The sprouts were pretty well roasted (not quite perfect, but not bad), and I liked the sweet, savory, and acidic notes of the bacon, maple, cranberries, and balsamic. Everything was well-balanced and I happily cleared my plate. Next, especially for a place that is largely self-service, I want to recognize my server for being kind and attentive throughout the experience. In terms of value, I feel as though their prices are around average, given the area and the product, for I am sure the tech is not cheap! The vibe is something I can only describe as brewery-esque, with brick, metal, and wood. I am less concerned about the walls, though, what I do want to highlight is how clean everything was! With the amount of hands touching everything, this is no easy feat. Final verdict: Sometimes, especially on a warmer day, it's not about fancy whiskey or food, but about simple food and drink done well. Tapville Social is that place. There are more than enough beers that you're sure to find something you like, and solid food that you have something to wash down, and aren't drinking on an empty stomach.
