On a Saturday evening, it was surprisingly not crowded at all but I'm sure later in the night it gets more crowded. I'd love to come back and experience it at night! This is probably the only coffee place that carries amaretto syrup. My advice? Get it, you might not be able to try it anywhere else. It's nutty, sweet and delicious. It's about $9 for appetizers. The Marinated Olives are nice to munch on. Also they have charcuterie boards. These are great for groups and parties. Has quite an interesting combination. They offer both a small and larger portion. The small is really just a few bites of duck, so if you're looking for something more filling, definitely go with the larger size, which feels closer to a standard entrée. You can omit the panko breadcrumbs to make it gluten free. The guava sorbet was a refreshing way to end the meal, served as a trio of scoops and a cookie (not GF). Portion sizes overall are just okay, as you're unlikely to have leftovers. Unless you order apps, an entrée, and dessert, you may not leave completely full. Drink-wise, they have cocktails, beers, one cider on tap (GF), and wine options. The Mint Julep (bourbon based) was strong, simple, and surprisingly tasty. Service was fine overall, though one gentleman stood out for being especially attentive and friendly (wish we caught his name). The charcuterie board was good but could've had another cheese on the board to match the three meats on the board. It was served with perfectly grilled baguette. The special appetizer for the evening was morel mushrooms. I love morel mushrooms, but these lacked flavor and the portion was small. That was a miss for me. For dinner, my husband had the crispy chicken milanese, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The chicken was topped with arugula, capers, manchego cheese, tomatoes. I opted to have a Caesar salad and the Spanish octopus appetizer for my dinner. Our server Carmen, who was so engaging and provided good service, said that the octopus was outstanding. He was right! My wife had the Blue Cheese Steak bites off the GF menu with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Again the server forgot her potatoes and charged her the wrong price since they had special pricing on the GF menu. They also charge a credit card processing fee.
