I went there with a friend for the first time on Sunday, September 20 for an early dinner. I enjoyed the downtown Oswego location and found a parking right away. The outside of the restaurant looked very nice and I loved the ambiance right when I walked in! We were seated by the window, which I preferred, so that was great. Mandy was friendly, attentive, efficient and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, that the food tasted good, and that she brought us our checks when we needed to leave. I'll definitely come here again! read more

2am Burger had a raw egg served on it. The servers should have never brought that dish out to begin with a "clear" in color egg sliming off the side. That's a bad chef level mistake. Sarcastically chef then cooked the egg to a crispy burn and the server we complained to in lieu of proper management actually brought it back out like that and so we rejected the whole dish. Server we started with was a new server who wasn't getting any assistance and really needed it. Went up to the bar and served myself and family drinks after 15 minutes of waiting with no water or drink order. No manager present on Saturday night. Train your cooks better and teach your servers to verify the dish appearance. All this new staff just helped us remove 113 main out of our rotation. read more

I've been coming to 113 Main pretty much monthly for client meetings and it's our go-to spot because it's fast service, no reservations needed, and the prices are affordable. We usually sit at the bar but they have plenty of table seating as well. I'm pretty picky about my cocktails. That said, I actually enjoy their "lips like sugar" cocktail -- made with tangerine vodka, strawberry, lemon and guava. For a sweet drinker, it's the perfect combo. read more

It is very pretty inside! The food is really good, they normally have breakfast buffets on Sundays. I people who work there are nice! I once got the grilled cheese and it was great either way the tomato soup. Definitely recommend for a Weekend or week day dinner! read more

Charming setting with high backed booths and a lighted tree in the center of the room...food was uneven and our server didn't really have their act together. My parents eat here a lot and enjoy it so I feel like we may have just hit them on an off day, but it wasn't the best first impression. read more

This is the 3rd time I came here. And it will be the last. I went in when they opened and we were the only booth with customers. We told the server when we ordered our drinks that we wanted to order apps right away because we had a toddler with us. Apparently when nobody is in there and they have nothing going on they ignore their customers. Finally put the order in and we were brought small plates. Every single one of them was dirty with what looked like buffalo wing sauce. Then they brought us new ones, and they were all dirty as well. The apps still were not out. We decided at that point it was best we leave and go somewhere else. If they give you that and present it to you in the open, I could only imagine what we cannot see looks like. There needs to be better options in downtown Oswego. read more

3.5 stars. Located downtown Oswego. There isn't much parking in front of the restaurant, but there is more behind the building. I've been here several times and the food is good, except for the service is ok. Depending on the day. The ambiance is clean and inviting. I've had the fried calamari (tasty), fish tacos (comes with 2 taco shells 1 hard and 1 soft), tortilla soup (ok), Brussel sprouts (too soft) , grilled salmon entree (delicious) , and mandarin chicken salad (enjoyed the smoked chicken in it). read more

We went in to have some lunch today. My brother and I each had the basic burger, fries and an iced tea. The first couple of bites tasted good but after that we realized that the burger wasn't juicy it was very greasy. The kicker was the bill $58 for 2 burgers and 2 iced teas. Add a tip and you are at $68! It seems like something was wrong. One nice thing I have to say was that the waitress was super nice and professional. read more

It's ok. We had dinner there once. The food was fine, but not good enough to patron again considering the cost. It's pricey for food that is just ok. It might be a good place just to go for drinks and appetizers. The large, storefront windows with screens are nice. read more

Good selection of food and drinks. Specials are available as well. I have been several times and it's always been good. read more

Fast and friendly service! The food is excellent! A nice local place in a quaint downtown area!

Second time there yesterday evening, first time was a couple months ago for the Santa brunch. I was with a large group of 15-20 and we had a reservation. We were there for a few hours when we were told that we had to leave because they needed our table for the next group. Several of us still had full drinks (that were not cheap) that we were chugging down so we could leave. I was about to order food for myself as well, but saved myself a lot of $$$ since we were forced out the door. So much for supporting local! read more

I got their chicken and waffles. Oh my was so good. My hubby got chicken fried chicken and was very happy with that as well. Our server was fantastic. Ambiance is cool, they have garage doors that open and it was a beautiful day so they were open. Would definitely return read more

Well the food is average not to bad in my opinion way to expensive. It's pretty plain no cozy atmosphere., open style

I brought my parents here for a delayed Christmas dinner. They are from MN and notoriously picky eaters and don't like to go out of their comfort zone for food. They had the shrimp and scallop risotto and the steak risotto and commented to us and the waitress about how amazing the food was. No leftover overs at this table, everything was amazing from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for spot that falls between a sports bar and the Turf Room. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

The food & craft beer selection is great. I always the Chicken fried chicken dinner. Good portion in today's economy. I've never had bad meal here. Good atmosphere especially in the summer with the screen windows for fresh air. read more

Came here for Mother's Day afternoon and got seated right away. Waitress was super friendly and both the steamed buns and Brussel sprouts were phenomenal. Cocktails were good too! I grew up in Oswego but now live 20 min away but I'll definitely come back! read more

Went there last weekend. Parking was a little challenging but we found a spot about a block away. Service was very good and the interior is very much like a lot of recent restaurants around the area. Open ceilings and concrete floors. The food was outstanding. Appetizers were brisket egg rolls and a peach balsamic flatbread both which were delicious. I got the 311 burger and it was good enough to come back for. Their burger grind was very flavorful, as good as Jackson Avenue Pub in Naperville which is what I generally use as a comparison. Prices are normal for the area. read more

I say this all the time but I wish we could rate half stars. I would do a 3.5 which I feel would look a lot better than 3 - but it's not quite a 4 The place is as nice. The service as good. Everyone had a nice time. My basil gin cocktail was delicious. I got two. My pork nachos were good. They had a kick to them. My husband got a Philly and it was good too. Nothing super special but nothing bad. We would go back. read more

Has anyone ever dealt with the owner of 113 Main in Oswego? Went in to pick up my order yesterday and no one was around. Went to the bar, thinking maybe my order is there. Was ignored by 2 employees. I sent them a message to make them aware of what happened. One of the partners (Mike Mann) messaged me back and asked what time I was in so he could check his cameras. A few minutes later I got a message back and he's calling me a liar, and stating he has better things to do and will not be returning any more messages so I "Shouldn't bother to respond." Prices are high, but we like the food so we continued to go. Until now. I guess we are not expected to complain when something isn't right. He lost us. We won't be back, but honestly, I don't think he cares. Now I need to know where to get some good Chicken Bao Buns! Anyone? read more

Very friendly staff Waitresses very quick , , keep checking to see if everything is ok and if you need a drink. Food was great. Service with Rachael was exceptional. Loved the French onion soup! Nice atmosphere, great local vibe.

Casual environment with delicious food! Mike (owner) stopped by to chat and shared his story leading to the 113 Main birthing. Highly recommend the Fish Tacos and Key Lime Cheesecake! Nice downtown place. Went here with a coworker on a Sunday night. They have street and parking behind the place. The service was good. The food was decent. I had a chicken sandwich with truffle fries. I felt the truffle fries needed more truffle oil on them. For the up charge I would like to be able to taste the truffle part. The sandwich was big almost the size of the plate. Needed a little more sauce but had a nice flavor to it. My coworker had the tacos said they were nothing special but needed some sauce on them. Overall an ok experience. read more

Food = really good !!!!! Poutine was fantastic flavors! Only negative I had was from the "Totchos" bacon was like very very crispy. I felt like I could have used them in masonry. Service = very attentive! No negatives here Ambiance = felt new and hipster. If it was not for the coronation of some congressman and the brown-nosing going on it would have been perfect. NOW... why only 3 stars do you ask? Please see the picture of the receipt. But also, this place was not hipster enough, in my opinion, to charge $10 for a $3 beer at binnys. And $20 per appetizer. The fact that it's this grossly overpriced (probably why the congressman was there) is the reason I will not return. The ratio of taste to price is wrong. Just be prepared to spend $$$$. read more

113 Main - Wtf is extra tip? Is 20% not acceptable anymore!? - New American Near Me - Oswego, Illinois

When going into the restaurant, you were offered. Both a brunch menu and the regular lunch mended up. Getting the chicken shawarma, which was delicious, and the portion was a great size. It comes with the option of froes, slaw, truffle fries, or sweet potato fries. Specials going on would be the unlimited mimosas for 22 dollars, which you can never go wrong with on top of other drinks that they have at the pool bar. This place is great for a get-together. The music was not extremely loud, so you were able to have conversations. read more

My husband and I went to 113 Main anticipating it to be a little more upscale than it really was. We were celebrating our anniversary and kind of thought this was a little more high-end. The decor appeared to be a little but then it had no windows along the front but black shades and then when you entered there is this beautiful tree and it seems a little more family friendly than upscale. The service was average but what we can't stop talking about is the salmon dish. The waitress informed us they had just updated the menu and adding the salmon dish was the best decision, it had such great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The appetizer that we shared was the peach flatbread and again kicker, it was amazing. I had ordered the chicken pot pie and it was lacking flavor but was good. When we go back we will be going back for the flatbread and that salmon! read more

Great service and good food. We ended up here on a whim and I'm happy we decided to stop here.

Love love love this place! Enjoyed blackened cod tacos and the honey and peach flatbread. Wish I could come here weekly. Great draft beer selection and the ambience is welcoming, trendy and clean. This place would be 5 stars if I were just rating based on my meal. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi sandwich, which was amazing, but I tasted my husband's steak tacos & they were pretty plain and nothing special, so that puts me at a 4 star rating. The blackened mahi mahi sandwich was just perfect - fish super moist, cooked to perfection with a nice blackened seasoning. The flavors didn't stop there though - they top it with a sweet grilled pineapple slice, crunchy slaw that put an Asian spin on the sandwich, fresh avocado slices giving a nice creamy texture, chipotle aioli giving more flavor & creaminess, and a few Fresno peppers to really spice it up. Whew, I think I covered all the wonderful toppings they added to the sandwich. This sandwich packs a punch of great flavors!!! I will definitely be getting this sandwich again. I also enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant - exposed brick, giving it a gastropub type feel. It had one wall where the garage doors rolled up and it turned into a screened in bar area where you could still enjoy the AC and the outside weather. All the servers were super friendly. They had a nice selection of local draft beers too! I really enjoyed the party pillow hefeweizen. read more

The food was great! I had the Prime Rib Philly, it was so good. The old fashion was fabulous! Smooth and tasty! Adam, our server was great, he looks like Keanu Reeves, kinda funny. The place is pretty laid back and very spacious. Never felt rushed, food came out in a timely manner. I've ordered out from here multiple times before those visit and the food was good, going in and getting the food fresh off the grill made a huge difference. It was so much better! read more

Stopped by for a very early dinner and had a lovely time. We had the Reuben egg roll special (for March), a burger, and the chicken fingers with regular and truffle fries. Everything was delicious, filling, hot, and fresh. Service was great--everyone is very friendly and helpful but they don't hover or pester. Restaurant was clean and nice inside. The lighted tree is a cool feature and adds to the ambiance. Overall bill (with drinks and tip) came to under $80 and we left feeling satisfied. Will definitely return. I want to try the peach flatbread next! read more

Very nice location with a modern open vibe. Large bar, plenty of seating. Nice screened in windows on the street that gives you the feeling of being outside with a small barrier to keep you cool and bug free. The duck egg omelet has an awesome flavor profile. Attentive service with a friendly attitude. Wide range of offering and a nice selection of drinks from the bar. They take pride in the food they are delivering. I would be interested in coming back and seeing what the night life is all about. read more

My family and I stopped in for dinner mid week which meant that we did not have a long to wait. The ambiance of the restaurant is a little spartan for my taste with the exception of the lit up tree in the middle of the room as well as the whiskey barrel shelf by the host stand, I really like those elements. The service was fair but far from great. Although our waitress did not seem to have many tables we didn't seem to see her except to order and pay. The food was rather good, but definitely not something I'd write home about, just a Yelp review. For my meal, I had the jambalaya and would do it again at some point. We started with the bao tacos and I thought those were pretty good. I remember really enjoying 113 the first couple of times we went there but I didn't review it then. I will have to give them another try to see if it was an off night or if they really are not as good as I had remembered. read more

Food is still good, but starting to question the service and questionable business practices. They tried to sneak a 4% non-cash adjustment fee onto the bill to use a credit card. They also based their tip options on the total bill, not pretax read more

We went here 2 years ago for a poutine dish, and a chicken platter dish. The service was good, nice ambience, However, the ingredients that they use are terrible. For the poutine they used shredded meat included with it (Poutine is only fries, cheese curds, and gravy) and it was nasty. They prepare their food in a odd way that doesn't make much sense "fresh" wise. My mother did not like her chicken as well and said it was dry and tasteless. A lot could have changed since then, But it was a mediocre meal at best, Oh and they're very expensive. More quality is needed for such steep pricing. read more

My husband and I came here for a drink after dinner on date night. We had been wanting to try this bar for awhile, but haven't had the time until recently. The decor is simple but clean and inviting. I like the string lighting. We sat at the bar since we weren't eating meals. The restaurant was only about a quarter full on a Saturday night, which is surprising since there aren't too many options in the downtown area. They had a delicious concoction of cocktail options with a variety of different alcohols depending on what you like. I got the Lips Like Sugar (vodka, strawberry, lemon, guava) and California Love (smirnoff watermelon mint, lemon, dragonfruit, prosecco). Both drinks were delicious if you like sweet cocktails. My husband got the old fashioned and thought it was pretty solid. While we weren't starving, the person sitting next to us raved about the nachos, so we decided to order some. We added pork for a little something extra. It was really tasty. Not the best nachos I've ever had, but still pretty good. The service was outstanding. Our bartender was very personable and chatted with us throughout the night without seeming to be too much. Everything came out promptly and was well done. The vibe was very welcoming. Prices are on par with restaurants in Naperville or some of the surrounding towns with more foot traffic in their downtown areas. I really hope people start going there more often as I love having this option in downtown Oswego and hopefully more restaurants will follow suit. read more
