Italian beef and meatball sub - Two white plates contain hot dogs topped with meat and mushrooms, accompanied by French fries. Each plate has small bowls of condiments, including ketchup, mustard, and possibly relish or onions. The background shows a kitchen environment with shelves and containers, and a person wearing a black shirt is partially visible.

This was not our first visit to Paulies but most likely our last. If we were just heading out for a beer and to watch the game, then maybe the review would be different. I was generous with the 3 stars because the staff was nice and the atmosphere is good. Unfortunately we went for food and that seems to be the area this place is lacking. The nachos were chips with what appeared to be shredded cheese that they melted in the broiler or and oven topped with a giant clump or sour cream, what looked like canned salsa, salad cut lettuce, black olives, and jalapeños with rotten seeds that were sliced in giant pieces. No guacamole, no cilantro, no tomato, no beans and barley any onions. The chips were burnt. It wasn't edible. The fries were super greasy and over cooked in what seemed to be an oil temp that was too high. I don't think they change the oil as they should either because the flavor was burnt grease. The spinach dip wasn't even edible. I'm a spinach dip fan and have had many variations of this app and this one was just not good. The Diet Coke was good. The server saw we didn't barley touch the food and offered to comp the nachos. Really the entire thing should have been comped or offered to have something else. I just didn't want to make it weird and complain because they're nice people there. It's ashame because we'd likely go there every week after volleyball if they had good food but alas, it's just not worth the left turn to get there from the gym. I offer this review as feedback in hopes they can improve. All in all, this wasn't worth the calories of fried bar food and guilty indulgences.

Overpriced, underwhelmed. The chili was not physically hot enough. The portion was large and it was flavorful, but it was too cold to enjoy.

Jamie the manager was also very awesome and gave us great service. I have never been so impressed. Lovely and passionate folks that work here. We went to the bar and asked if we seat ourselves... the bartender called the waitress over and she sat us right away. The menu has lots of great food options... pizza... tacos... salads... sandwiches and even desserts. We ordered 20 wings. 10 mild and 10 garlic parmesan. With a side of blue cheese for dipping. (Posted a video, not sure if it will show up on our review but you should be able to find it when searching images) The mild wings were really yummy! They were very flavorful! The garlic parmesan sauce was not my favorite... kind of blah and did not taste like there was any parmesan in the sauce... however the chicken wings were still cooked to perfect. Juicy chicken with a crispy coating.. the wings also were trimmed nicely.. no cartilage or gummy pieces. I would definitely dine here again! Our waitress kept checking in on us and gave us refills and she was very kind and loved her service with a smile!

We went for a date night and it was honestly such an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It is lively and has a great energy, but it is not overwhelming or too crazy, which makes it perfect for a date night. You can actually talk, relax, and enjoy your time together, which is exactly what we were looking for. We ordered a mix of things and everything was so good. The BBQ platter with ribs, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, fries, and toast was packed with flavor and perfect for sharing. The chicken dish with mashed potatoes and greens was also amazing and really well done. We also got dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending to the night. The service was great the entire time. Our server was especially attentive and funny, which made the experience even better and added such a fun, personal touch to the night. Overall this is such a great spot and definitely one we will keep coming back to. If you are looking for a place that has a fun atmosphere but still feels comfortable for a date night, I would absolutely recommend checking this place out.

This elevated sports bar easily seats 100+ comfortably (inside). They also have an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. The staff member let us know they have a few other locations, Oak Brook, Chicago, and their sister company City Works in Schaumburg. Service throughout was good and timed out well. Within 2 minutes of placing a drink order, they were brought over to our table. Food took about 10-15 mins to be prepared and brought over. Our group was in and out within an hour and 30 mins. I tried the Nashville chicken wrap which comes with a side. I went with the side salad with citrus vinaigrette. The salad was light and refreshing. Great way to get some veggies in! The wrap was delicious, crispy and toasted perfectly. All the ingredients paired well together and I enjoyed all the textures of it. I had ZERO left overs.

The previous time I came was post-comedy show, just for drinks, and the 3 of us all enjoyed our drinks then, as well. We started with an order of their Street Corn Deviled Eggs which were amazing..super creamy. Absolutely fantastic! I originally didn't think much of this place when checking out the menu…read moreonline because the food choices didn't look super interesting and the prices were a bit on the lower side. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was completely wrong --- the portions are enormous, the textures are great, the flavors are incredible, and everything I tried was done very well. This is on top of fast friendly service, and a very unique interior. I went here with 3 friends and would absolutely love to come back again soon with even more. As I mentioned, the food here is just awesome. It's clear how much care is put into every single dish with the great presentation, attention to small details, and refined product. I highly recommend the tuna poke, maybe one of the best versions I've ever had of this dish. This has plenty of fish on top of extremely crispy wonton chips. The mix of creamy avocado puree, jalapeno salsa, honey wasabi, and sriracha aioli is incredible. This reminds me of the bold flavor combinations at Girl and the Goat at a lower price point. The bang bang shrimp was another winner with super crispy tempura shrimp served with a delicious sweet chili sauce and cabbage slaw. For anyone who's ever had this dish at Bonefish Grill, you'll be thrilled with this version as well which comes with a very generous amount of shrimp. The burgers were also on point -- both enormous in size and full of flavor in every layer. In addition to perfectly cooked patties (this was great for both the beef and bison I tried), I was pleased that all the components of the burger were very flavorful and well done. That is, the brioche bread was slightly toasted inside, the pickles had just the right level of acidity and texture, the pork belly was super flavorful in itself and cooked great without making the dish feel too fatty, the egg was slightly runny, and the vegetables were all super fresh. Unsurprisingly, their sides were prepared to perfection as well -- with crunchy onion rings and super tasty fries. Overall, this restaurant is worth a special trip and I aim to try every single starter they make soon. It's not often that I'll be thinking about a restaurant long after dining there but the excellence displayed here has left a lasting impression both with myself and my friends that dined here. The excellent meal here definitely made for a very memorable birthday dinner for the party.
