Never get around to taking pics of my boba drinks, but its your typical sealed cup of boba. I don't know what the hype is around Sharetea...it's not bad, but not spectacular either. I mean, I've had some really bad boba (that place right next to the 99 Ranch in Concord) in the East bay, so I can definitely appreciate something a step better. I do appreciate that you can really finely tune your boba's sweetness and that the boba has been perfectly cooked every time we've visited, but again, nothing spectacular. I still prefer Kung Fu Tea in the 99 Ranch in Pleasanton. Perhaps some better ones exists elsewhere in the East bay. read more

I am a frequent customer at the Union City location, but I decided to try out San Ramon. On google their hours say they were open till 10pm. I came in at 9:24 and the girl behind the counter said they were closed. She and about 2 other workers were making drinks and there were people waiting and they refused to serve me. This made me feel very unwelcome and was not really fair if you ask me. I gave it one more try two days later and made sure I returned before they closed, but again I ended up very disappointed. They ran out of large boba and told me they only had the mini ones which was fine. However I was with a friend and he wanted boba as well. After we ordered they told us they only had enough boba leftover for one drink. On top of that, the whole time I was trying to order, the boy who was taking my order kept asking me to repeat myself... I didn't mind but the workers were playing VERY loud edm music and talking about which dj's they like. The drinks are mediocre but the service was very disappointing. Staff usually consists of 3 young kids. I hope that management steps in and let's their staff know that customer service is very important. I will no longer be returning. The Union City location never makes their customers feel unwelcome or that they don't want to serve anyone. read more

Love this place but really unhappy with them changing their hours. They used to open at 11:00 am which I thought was a little late but now it's 12:00 pm. That's lunch hour when the parking lot fills up quickly and there are no spots left. They turned away myself and another customer yesterday because it was before 12. My favorite is ginger milk tea here because I can't get that in other tea place around here. Their drinks are pretty sweet to me even at 50% sweet. For sure more sweet then T4 and Kung Fu milk tea. I get 75% sweet at Kung fu and 50% at T4, so you can compare yourself. Workers are pretty fast consider it was their first day soft opening when I went. Oolong milk tea is not as good as Kung fu but not bad at all. Okinawa and Hokkaido milk tea sweetness can't not be adjusted. Boba were ok. The center were slightly hard but not horrible. Even sometimes when they miss something in my drink, they are willing to remake it or add another topping that they missed. Just glad that there's a decent Boba place in San Ramon. So just for that I'll give this a 4 star. I don't have to drive to T4 in Dublin to subdue my graving for Boba. Yeah for Sharetea in San Ramon! I find myself stopping here about once a week now. I like how you can customize everything (well, except the size - they only serve one size drink). My personal favorite is the green tea, 50% sugar, and served either hot or cold but with no ice. My drink comes out well each time. This was my second time here and I'm so impressed. My first time here was late at night a few months ago and they had run out of boba, so I ordered a green tea with 50% sweetness. It wasn't sweet enough and I missed the boba, so I was underwhelmed, but I acknowledge that this was my fault. This time, I ordered a green milk tea with boba and 80% sweetness. The 80% wasn't sweet enough for me and I asked if they could make it 100% sweetness instead by stirring in some additional sweetener. I was pleasantly surprised when the employee remade the entire drink for me with NEW pearls! Many other tea places just dump out the tea and reuse the same pearls when remaking a customer's order. I was so impressed and happy with this excellent customer service. On to the tea: I've tried over a dozen milk tea places and Sharetea is up there. I always make sure to try the green milk tea with pearls so that there's an equal point of comparison. This milk tea is milky and 100% sweetness is just the right amount of sugar for my taste. I like sweetness but not overly sweet (like most places 100% sweetness level is) and most other places fail to hit the exact spot. The boba is also a good consistency, but a bit harder than my ideal boba texture which is softer (which I've only found at Dublin Quickly). After examining a cross section of a pearl, the inside is a slightly lighter brown which means the boba will be a tad chewier. Most people will be perfectly happy with Sharetea's pearls. If I had it my way, I'd have the pearls a bit softer. It's worth noting that there wasn't an excessive amount of ice either. I could also tell that a couple of newer employees were being trained but service was still quick and the employees seemed happy working there. When I'm back in San Ramon I'll be sure to stop by again! read more

Finally!! I remember it was a super hot day and i tried going in..but it wasnt open yet...heh. Super clean and no long wait-EVER! I usually get the matcha red bean ice blend, minus the ice cream, or the oolong milk tea 80% sweetness and light ice, no toppings. This is a cute little place to grab a drink if you're in the mood for something sweet. The service is always friendly and fast paced. One thing that I love about this place is that you can adjust the sweetness of your drink and the level of ice you prefer. You can also add on any other toppings you may like. They don't have a huge selection of drinks, so it makes it easier for you to choose. I do have to admit that one thing that bothers me is that it's not so obvious as to what's in a (milk tea) drink, unless I just don't see the descriptions anywhere. I remember going there the first time and feeling lost and not knowing which one I'll like best, because I didn't know what kind of toppings came along with it. Honestly I have no special feelings for franchise boba stores (although I did reveal a little bit love for ShareTea at the San Mateo location), however this location did make my day better! I was here on a Monday afternoon, both my friend and I got Taro Milk Tea with boba and we sat in the stores after getting them. A guy came up to us, he looked like a store manager and asked if our drinks were good since the color looked too light for him. We responded it was great and he said he just wanted to make sure everything was okay. That was definitely a huge plus for us because that means the store manager/staff does care about the consistency of drinks us customers have! Drinks were good, but I had to knock them down 1 star because the cashier was not friendly. She gave off a vibe as if I was bothering her. You would think Sharetea would hire someone friendly to man the cash register and interact with clients, but they seemed to miss the mark on this one. I read a few other reviews and it seems like I'm not the only one with a complaint about the staff. In all fairness, the girl who made our drink was quite friendly (maybe they should put her in the customer facing role). My best advice is to get your drinks with less ice. Good stuff!! Tried the taro milk tea (80% sweetness) and mango green tea crema. The regular size boba was perfect, no issues with under/overdone. Mango tea was regular ice and regular sweetness....perfect! I would have liked taro at regular sweetness but it wasn't my drink, haha Day 2, Hokkaido tea is really good. Green tea matcha creama very disappointing. Either too much creama or green tea not strong enough. It was just a bland drink. 4th trip....yep, been here too much. Came back for the Hokkaido because it was so good. Got 2 of them. Both were not as fragrant as the first time so now I don't know if today's was bland or the first time was made strong. This place needs improvement. Clearly customer service is not their priority. When I bought my milk tea the other day, I clearly said no sugar and light on ice. Watching one of the workers make my drink, clearly I saw them dumping a whole bunch of sugar to my drink and mixing it. When this employee called my number, I asked "I asked no sugar"... This employee said "correct, no sugar.. See it's says on the sticker posted on the cup". I didn't wanna argue with the person in front of everybody so I just took it. Most definitely telling my coworkers to not come here and to go another alternative boba spot to go for lunch. read more

This is my third time getting the Hokkaido Milk Tea and the 2nd & 3rd time wasn't as good as the 1st time when I had it almost a year ago. Either my taste changed or they changed their Hokkaido powder. 2nd time, the Hokkaido Milk Tea was unbearably sweet. I only drank a few sips and tossed the rest away. 3rd time, I asked for half powder and it was still sweet but bearable. The taste was just not good. Aside from the Hokkaido Milk Tea, I still love their Daily Special BOGO. The boss is quite generous to have such a deal. The Dublin one (different owner) has no such deal. The Lemon Wintermelon Tea and Whole Lemon Black Tea are both very good. Boba are cooked consistently well. Service good. Place is clean and welcoming. I just don't recommend the Hokkaido Milk Tea. read more

I came in on Saturday a couple days ago it was a bit busy.... I didn't have to wait long and the drink was great. However some lady came in she looked pretty angry and rushed to the back. She didn't look like a worker because she didn't have the sharetea shirt that every other worker had on. She rushed to the back and came up to where they make the drinks and started throwing stuff around so after that I assumed she was a worker. She yelled at the other workers and was being obnoxious it made me really uncomfortable seeing a random person rushing in and throwing stuff around. I found this very unprofessional and it looked like she did not care about what she was doing. I've come here quite a few times and I know the staff is pretty young however I have not seen this kind of unprofessional work ethic ever and was astonished. read more

Yay! Another Sharetea! The place is decorated with Halloween theme and very cute. We got here just after 12 on a Saturday, and beat the crowd! We got Hot Fresh Taro Milk Tea and QQ Happy Family Milk Tea. It's buy one get one free for the grand opening today! We got our drink pretty quickly. The Hot Fresh Taro Milk Tea is perfect for today's slightly wet and gloomy weather. The QQ Happy Family Milk Tea is great for someone who can't make up their mind as it has all the toppings! We're waiting for our friends to show up, and my husband is already almost done with his milk tea. Thr location is pretty convenient, in the same plaza as CVS and a bunch of other stores. I was yelping for a boba place in San Ramon and came across Sharetea and since the rating and reviews were all positive, I was curious to try out this place. It is on the smaller side for a boba place with not that many seating area and the chairs and tables are not the most comfortable ones, so it's definitely not meant to come here and hang out with your drink. It's more like.. "have a seat while waiting or your drink" But I came here with friends and it was too late to look for another place to go to. This place really just focuses on drinks. It is the same concept as T4 (in Dublin). You can customize your drinks (ice, toppings, sweetness). They have a great variety and it taste pretty good. Definitely a good alternative to Quickly in San Ramon but since they don't offer anything else than drinks, it is really just a place to stop by if you crave milktea or boba. Wished they would offer some snacks and make it more inviting to come and hang out. After we stayed there until 9:45pm we started to hear some clear "cleaning up" noise and we took it as a sign that we should leave soon. I gave them some tip as a thank you. I dont have the pic of it. I go to sharetea in Dublin all the time for icecream blacktea. It is always filled with icecream covering almost half cup. But this cup I bought here, it was just a little icecream ball inside. The taste was just ice blacktea, no icecream at all. read more
