I recently visited this place and had a disappointing experience. The wait time was incredibly long. After 30minutes, I asked them how long it would take and the staff just went into the fridge and pulled out my order without saying anything. I don't know how long it had been sitting in there for. Because they don't call out names or offer any system to let customers know when their order is ready, people end up waiting around aimlessly. When I told her I had been waiting and no one called out names, all she said was "it's not my fault" then walked away. Terrible customer service. When I finally got my smoothie, it was bland and watery. I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

My boyfriend and I were passing through the area on our way to San Francisco when we stopped by to try this new place! This location is pretty relaxing and it's not chaotic for a food place! He ordered a breakfast bowl from the harvest kitchen menu, and I ordered a Go Green smoothie! It came out so quickly! The girl behind the counter works pretty fast I must say! I live in Pismo Beach but I come here every time I visit my sister and girlfriend and decided to drop in and order the small vitality bowl which is my go to, normally I just give my sisters name and number so she gets the points but for some reason the dude didn't know how to put in her loyalty rewards number? He said he did but when I texted my sister she didn't have any new points not sure if this guy was lying but he sounded extremely confused the entire time like it was his first day and I had just asked him the most confusing question....I know I'm probably being dramatic about this, but if you don't know how to do loyalty numbers just say so brother and I'll have my sister order it online, there was no one I could talk to about adding my number so I'm hoping the owners see this on here and do better. read more

We frequent this place a couple of times a week. Every now and then someone will mess up our order. Maybe something missing or very little of a topping. One guy does not like to put peanut butter or honey on the top as it sticks to the lid. Well, we paid for it... please just put it on. We continue to go back because when made correctly, we love it. The food was tasteless, the service was nonexistent, and the atmosphere was gross. I could put up with bad service if the food was at least tasty. Many badly stained ceiling tiles and dirty tables show that this restaurant is not cared about. This was my first time going to a Vitality Bowl. I was really looking forward to trying it and, unfortunately, what a huge disappointment. I hope they aren't all like this. :( read more

As I was parking in front of the entrance, noticed an employee leave the store and go in to his car and then back inside, all while wearing blue rubber gloves. There was another customer that went in right before I did, the employee rang up the man in front of me, left to the back, then returned with his açaí bowl, still wearing those same gloves (noticeable because of how wet they appeared moist/wet underneath as if he'd been wearing them for some time). I'm pretty sure the fruit atop of an açaí bowl requires some handling to arrange so I changed my mind considering how many things the employee had touched and was still wearing the blue gloves. read more

This is the worst location. And it's NOT the fault of the kids that work there but that of whoever manages/owns this place. Typically only have 1 person on staff and poor kid has to manage the entire place all by themselves. You're looking at a solid 45 minutes-1 hr wait for your food. I feel so bad for the employees, they literally have no support from management. read more

Wow. Todays experience was seriously sad. I was really looking forward to my bowl today after a long crappy day. I called in and here was verbatim how the conversation went. Them: Hello? Me: Hi I'd like to make an order for pickup! Them: okay. Me: *questionably* okay... *cheerfully* well can I please get a nutty bowl and add cacao nibs? Them: Yeah. Me: *uncomfortably* Thanks!.... How long will that be? Them: 10 minutes, bye. No greeting, no name, no idea if I even called the right number in that moment. Didn't even ask me my name for the order. Awkward uncomfortable and short responses with zero effort of even bare minimum "customer service". When I came in I was still polite and even still tipped. However, to make matters worse, I brought this bowl home and there was something in it that tasted so fowl that I actually gagged and spit it up. This entire bowl is now going to waste and so is my almost $16 I spent on it. If I could get my money back on this I would but after this interaction today it's not even worth driving all the way back to duke this out with people that clearly don't care anyway. Sad. read more

Slow service with The two teenage airhead girls trying to give their friends free drinks rather than help and make customer orders. Asked for no honey and my açaí bowl came out with honey. They did not remake it just swapped out the toppings. They also reused the same lid which had honey. When I asked for a new lid because it was reused with honey the girl snapped back saying no there's not when it was very obvious it was. Will try out another location. read more

And yes they do sometimes come from the back, and she was out within seconds. being a VIP certainly is better than regular pricing and from time to time we get the shots or drink special.

I've been to their location in La Jolla and am thankful to know that their quality is still the same as in SD. Service: a bit of a cluster. Our server - whom we didn't get his name - was friendly and very efficient. We were there at 4:45 pm so whoever was serving during that time and day - mad props to him. It was cooked medium, just like I requested, tender and well seasoned. I wished it came with rice (yes, the Filipina in me - and the bro said to ask a side of it next time.) My family also was able to avail Happy Hour drinks so that was cool. I had the Aperol Spritz - it's not the way they make it like in Europe but it would suffice. Though fair warning, it was pretty strong! We were going to order dessert but we were running low on time b/c of the tree lightening. Overall, they're still working out the kinks of transitioning from the Lot to Zentril. They might want to add more staff - this location is very open and wide - it seems cruel to just put two servers on a busy Friday night with something going on inside the center. Will definitely visit again and hopefully their staffing issue will be sorted out by then - fingers crossed!

We could either stand or sit at the bar area or sit on the side table with a family that had some kids because there was only one server working that night. So we decided to sit next to the family. Then when we asked for drinks, we were told that they were out of every single vodka they had. They had the same issue with the food. Everything was very limited and then they made the order wrong at that. Then they switched waiters and they double charged my friend and I for the bills. Horrible experience and I never will go back and this is not the first time there has been bad service with wrong orders before. I believe in giving chances because every restaurant can have a bad day, but this seems to be continuous and now they even have a very limited menu. Not worth my time, my money or anything there. Nothing is great. I also called and left a message for management and no one ever returned my call. Disappointing.
