I stopped by here during a very busy Livery event. Line was out the door, wait felt forever but I felt the service was superb. When I got to the front, the staff was patient. My kids got the strawberry marshmallow with marshmallow topping and I got the cookie creme. My kids loved what they got. It was generous kids scoop. They devoured their ice cream. I thought mine was good too. The inside of the store isn't super big but it exactly what I expect for an ice cream shop. There is a couple tables inside and outside. There are some bench seating as part of the complex. It was pretty crowded so we had to eat the ice cream while standing. It was a hot day so perfect with ice cream. read more

Without a doubt the best Cold Stone location around, possibly even in the entire Bay Area. I've been coming to this location religiously since roughly 2011 or 2012. It's the only Cold Stone I like to give my business to. Although there is one slightly closer to me in Pleasant Hill, that one always seems to have roach problems, and for that reason, I'll never step foot in there. This location on the other hand has high standards, and it shows. Occasionally when I'm out of state and there's a Cold Stone in the area, the first thing I do is check the reviews and health score, largely because of the infamous Pleasant Hill location. Otherwise, I only go to this one, or to a different location strictly on the day of a grand opening, as everything's brand new and clean. I've yet to have a single bad experience here, which speaks volume, and I've had several ice cream cakes, cupcakes, etc. over the years--not to mention, tons and tons of ice cream! Always delicious and worth it. By far my favorite ice cream chain. This location also gives you very generous amounts of ice cream at times for what you pay. Highly recommend their sorbet flavors, but you can't go wrong with any of their flavors in general. There's something for everyone. Sometimes it gets crazy busy in here (which is good), while other times there's nobody, or very few. Just depends on the time of day and day of the week. Weather plays a huge role too. The owners and employees are very friendly and always go above and beyond. I hope this location will be around for many more years to come. I can't stress enough how amazing this Cold Stone location is. If you haven't tried it after all these years, then you're truly missing out. It's a no-brainer. Be sure to sign up for their free rewards program too. You get points on purchases, as well as BOGO (buy one get one) deals from time to time. There's even a yearly BOGO loaded to the app for your birthday. read more

The service is exactly how I like--short & sweet. They're very prompt and always give me good ice cream. The shop is a little small but they have plenty of outdoor seating. They mix my ice cream perfect and always have the best consistency. I always go back to this cold stone whenever I crave cold stone. read more

If you're in Danville and craving ice cream, Cold Stone Creamery is hands down the best spot in town. The owners are incredibly nice, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Every time I go in, I get great service -- friendly, fast, and welcoming. And the ice cream... it's seriously the best. Always fresh, super creamy, and so many delicious options to choose from. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

What's the big difference between this shop and any other ice cream shop? I came to get some ice cream for a friend and was totally disappointed. When they first opened, they would mix the ice cream on the cold slab and ask you if you wanted anything mixed in or any toppings added. I ordered Mint Chip and watched the lady scoop the mint ice cream out of a container and place it in a to go cup, then she sprinkled a small amount of chocolate chips on top, placed a plastic lid on top and placed it in a plastic bag and charged me $8.50. Why would anyone buy it here when you can get better customer service and the same thing for a better price at the San Ramon Marketplace store. I questioned why there was a price difference for the same exact thing and the lady at the Danville store said and I quote,"they can charge whatever they want because they are a franchise ." Very disappointing experience for which I will never return. I cannot believe anyone wastes their time going in there. Just go to Safeway or Lucky's and buy a container of ice cream. At least the toppings are mixed throughout the container for 1/2 the price and you get a whole lot more. read more

The ice cream itself was good, as Cold Stone usually is, but the service was offensive. After patiently waiting our turn, the nice lady behind the counter directed us to place our order with the man standing beside her. We greeted him and received no response. From there, the interaction only got worse. Our order was simple, yet he shockingly slammed my boyfriend's ice cream onto the counter. There was no explanation, no acknowledgment, no courtesy, and no warmth at all. Even with that treatment, we remained polite throughout. We even thanked him AFTER PAYING, and were ignored by him. He did not thank us at all or acknowledge our business. The behavior was noticeable enough that his coworker (or co-owner) went out of her way to thank us as we were leaving, which spoke volumes. I'm not sure if he was having a terrible day or if he's just a terrible person. Either way, I hope he finds a different way to occupy his time. People should not feel like a burden or unwelcome when politely spending their money. read more

My daughter gently asked me for cotton candy ice cream and I said no because it has dyes. The employee said "there are no dyes in cotton candy ice cream" and she also said strawberry was dye free. YAHHHH RIGHT! Just checked their website and cotton candy has blue 1 and strawberry has red 40. I asked for a kid size for my daughter. She got it with no add ins. But still charged me for a like it. Just be careful when ordering. Clearly she's in it to trick people. We will not be returning and will opt to try the other plentiful ice cream places in the area. read more

the ice-cream is good. But it's cold stone so there going to get there food in batches to make to it taste the same everywhere. Yes the ice screen is spot on. Although, the service is not as great as it may seem. The workers don't communicate with the customers and this one lady who may look nice treats her customers not as she should. Once I order my I've scream she would suddenly get all rude and mean at me and it's only her that is the mean coworker. Lastly, when you want to order a little bit of ice scream that would be a like it size. But, once I receive my like it size ice scream, it's massive. They serve me a lot of ice scream to eat. But, I would like to point out this one man who is nice although he hasn't talked to me before he's still better than the other lady. To summarize this food is good but large, service is partly good. I guess I would recommend this place for a sweet treat. read more

I am pretty tired of the owners of this Cold Stone! In the past I've seen them ask kids (not the parents) if they want a cone which costs more money...right? Shouldn't be that big of a deal but it's annoying. Today our nanny took the kids here and the owner apparently scooped too much ice cream for the medium size that was ordered. She said to our nanny, "I'm going to put this in a larger bowl". Innocent enough until she charged my nanny for the large size. I find these kinds of practices distasteful and dishonest, and frankly makes me never want to go back. To the owners I say, "grow up and run an honest business". To potential customers I say, "watch these folks for dishonest behavior and don't accept it". read more

It was a nice Saturday afternoon and I was taking a stroll near the great impasta when I saw the exquisite sign of cold stone. My mouth immediately was watering and my taste buds were tingling. I took out my purple sequence Wallet from justice with my initials on it and saw I had 6 one dollar bills and 37 cents left. I knew what I had to do. I walked in and saw the watermelon sorbet. It look absolutely scrumptious. I got it in a waffle cone with some golden Oreos on top. I paid and left to go sit outside and indulge. That first bite feeling was not as I expected. The sorbet had a taste of sour vinegar and the cone was old and stale. I would have given this review a 0 stars but The Oreos actually tasted pretty good. Thanks coldstone for ruining my Saturday afternoon. read more

Cold Stone Creamery for the win!! Every year we order an ice cream cake from Cold Stone and it never disappoints! They have tons of options to choose from too! If you order your cake 24 hrs in advance, you get to fully customize your cake! You get to choose the ice cream flavor, choose 3 mix-ins, the type of cake you want, frosting, and so on! It's amazing!! If it's less than 24 hrs, try calling them and see if they can accommodate your request. I highly recommend ordering your cake here or getting anything here! Everything is delicious! I recently had a birthday party and all my friends mentioned how they don't like cake but once I told them it's ice cream cake and it was Cold Stone, they were all so excited. All of them loved it and thought it was delicious! The cake prices are pretty reasonable and cheaper than Baskin Robbins or Safeway ice cream cakes! read more

Delicious and the staff were great! The location is also fantastic with outdoor seating under oak trees.

Smaller location, almost like one of the small Baskin Robbins that I grew up with where there are only two ice cream counter areas. Super small, and really only for to-go. The service was really good and they made it well. They also knew what they were doing. I didn't check out the cake case, but I thought I glanced and saw it packed which means..... ICE CREAM CUPCAKES! Must have these. I remember about 10+ years ago when Coldstone first introduced these. They were delectable, and they are a must for anyone that has never had them. This location is tucked away around a bunch of specialty places. One other thing: sign up for their club. They send you BOGO coupons on your birthday, and every so often just for the hell of it. Their ice cream is so rich, that it's probably one of my favorites by far that's consistent no matter what part of the country I'm in. And believe me.... there's something to be said about favorite foods tasting the same no matter where you go. read more

Whats not to like about Cold Stone Creamery? This is not your average location which located on a strip mall. Its in the Danville Livery. Small parking lots, old looking dark wood buildings which all look exact same. We came on spring break where seems like everyone was out of town so I 'll take it. I had $30 worth of gift cards. Family four, I only used about half of $30 worth. The employee was kind enough to give write the remaining balance on the card with a black sharpie along the receipt, this helps quickly determine how much balance is left on the gift card. I am an ice cream junkie and so are my two boys, however the san ramon marketplace one is closer but way more crowded than this one. I am willing to drive farther away to avoid crowds and waiting. This is located between the Great Impasta and Forbe Mills Steakhouse btw. read more

After trying my ice cream I asked for a new flavor if possible as it did not taste right. Although the gentleman gladly said he could replace it the lady ringing up my order told him he needed to put my ice cream back into the container. I jumped in and told her please don't do that as it's very unsanitary to put ice cream I just licked back into a container. I am assuming it was the owner since she was concerned about the cost it was to her of wasted ice cream. I don't know who needs to hear this but be cautious of eating ice cream from here. Do not recommend! read more

I would give this location zero stars if I could. I have been to this location so many times over the years, trying to give them another chance, but I am absolutely fed up with the Korean woman. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. she over charges me. This afternoon I brought 3 kiddos in for treats, and she automatically charged each kid for 2 additional toppings. This was incorrect! When I asked for my receipt she folded it up four times before handing it to me. When I questioned her about all of the additional add-ons, she got very flustered and "could not remember" what everyone had just ordered. Unfortunately this was not a one time occurrence. She is always hustling & scheming for a few extra bucks. Extremely tacky and a terrible customer service experience. I heard many friends say that this ice cream shop is very nice to customer very well . I have never had the opportunity to patronize，today I finished hiking nearby , and the weather is warm, which is the best time to eat ice cream. So our family of three visited this store. During COVID-19, at least three families were eating ice cream at the entrance of the store. This store became more confident. When we stepped into the store, we were warmly received. We bought two large and one small cup. the server gives us so full of ice cream. Before us leaving, the lady server said thank you for coming and supporting too ,the nice. This time I am very satisfied with the shop's greetings. I am also glad that I chose this shop today. Unfortunately, I was too enjoy my ice cream and forgot to take pictures as proof why I give them a 5 stars. read more

Giving one star because that's the only way to leave a review. They deserve zero stars. $40 and a horrible experience. They rushed our order and made a mistake. My daughter said To me politely and quietly that she asked for cheesecake but it doesn't taste that way. So I kindly mentioned to the lady this isn't what we asked for and explained. She quickly put the blame on my daughter and said she asked for cookie dough. I told her no she didn't I did. The owner kept asking us all what we wanted as she and her partner were trying to make them. Point is they were rude, didn't apologize and didn't want to fix it. We offered to keep it and had to buy an extra ice cream. VERY DISAPPOINTING. read more
