Good smoothies but they switched to ridiculously tall and skinny cups for their large size. They don't even have straws that go the length of the cup. I usually take it to go but the cups are too skinny for cup holders and so tall that they fall over easily. UPDATE: The story of how stupid these cups are continue up to the lid. In order to use the big straw, you have to puncture a plastic tab on the lid. I popped off the lid to drink the rest of the smoothie since the straw is too short for the cup and felt something get lodged in my throat. Luckily, I was able to throw it up and I found it was the circular puncture tab from the lid. If you're going to use boba like cups then seal them like boba drinks - with the plastic film. Change these cups before someone else gets hurt. read more

They made a change that is a big disappointment. They changed their cups. They're super thick plastic for one time use. Even the lid is super thick. But I doubt people will reuse them. In fact, I feel there will be tons of plastic thrown away because I cannot imagine someone will want to save every single plastic cup they get when they buy a smoothie. I am also pretty certain the new cups hold less than the previous cups. They are taller, but they are also quite narrow. So people might be paying more for less. Juice zone has been around FOREVER. It's a very popular spot because their smoothies are very good BUT if they're super busy after school time and you need to grab a quick snack this wouldn't be the place to do it as they won't pick up the phone to place an order when it's too busy. It's a tad expensive but their smoothies are delicious. I recommend mint chip and gary power pump. If I was the owner, I would invest in an app or add it to DoorDash or something to allow people to order online for pick up. read more

Still a super popular shop (lots of people waiting for their drinks outside after ordering) but beware prices have definitely gone up. The classic smoothies (base smoothie) are now $6.25 for a small, $7.25 for medium and $8.25 for a large, plus a 50c credit card fee. Most other drinks with power add ons, acai or favorites start at close to $8 a pop. Service is brisk and not unfriendly, and I appreciate some ability to substitute or take out ingredients based on customer preference. Previously rated 5 stars, this place stood out to many of us because they served (and still do) very delicious, pure, top quality, clean smoothies that were reasonably priced, all of which made this place a million times better than any other smoothie/juice spots I have ever been to. I'd take friends and family here at least weekly to buy us all smoothies. The reason I took a star away is because they went from foam cups to plastic cups. Why this matters is because the sizes have also changed significantly with this transition, which gives customers the illusion of getting more or the same amount of product. I was in awe of this new, beautifully designed cup in the largest size, and emptied it into a medium/regular cup, and found that the amount was the same, if not even less than a regular. IN ADDITION - With this change also came an increase in cost. So I can't quite understand why a company as wonderful as Juice Zone would make such a poor decision to offer less product with increased costs. In my mind, I separated this family owned gem of a business from other businesses because they seemed to serve the community in ways that major chain companies don't and can't. With the above changes, they get the same "meh" as Jamba Juice... pricey drink, better quality, can make a decent amount myself for a fraction of the cost. I will continue to purchase occasionally from here, but not like I have before. read more

But it seriously isn't great that you guys have your customers wait out in 90 degree weather for up to 20-25 minutes. I've been asked to leave the store twice and stand and wait outside. Yes I know it gets crowded in there and it's a small store but dang buy some umbrellas pop them up and some tables. Like it's really rude to actually just say hey can you guys go stand outside in the hot sun and the wait isn't usually quick. We love this local spot but pretty disappointed about the cup switch that happened a while back. Not that they moved away from styrofoam cuz, duh, smart move. But the move to the tall skinny cups is awful. Less smoothie for the same price, I measured it. Also the small cups are simple plastic and hold the same as the medium. The large? Disastrous. Way less smoothie and now you can't even use the straw because it's too short. New owners made too many changes. Juice Zone has a large variety of smoothies, juices, and miscellaneous beverages. My go-to is the bee blueberry with extra protein. I've even heard of requests for 40g of protein in their shakes. The storefront usually gets pretty crowded during peak hours so many customers have to wait outside. After COVID, they only allow up to three customers inside their shop. I think it's better to wait outside anyway since it gets pretty loud in there with all the blenders in action. Great spot! read more
