Terrible food! I had the BBQ sample plate. The ribs were dry. The Tri Tip was over cooked. The chicken was barely edible. All the meat tasted like it was baked in the oven. I think their idea of "BBQ" was smothering everything in BBQ sauce. The veggies that were served with the meal were the frozen mixed veggies that you find in the grocery store, however they were also over cooked. The only items on my plate that were edible were the bread and the inside of the baked potato. My husband ordered the meatloaf and it was dried out. The meat tasted old and had a stale flavor that you should not find in your meal. I do not recommend this restaurant for eating. If you are going here to drink, you will probably be ok because everyone who was in the restaurant was at the bar. I feel like this restaurant could use a visit from the Restaurant Rehab tv show. What was that side I ordered? oh, yeah, chili beans. According to their menu. In reality I would have preferred a can of Rosarita refried beans, the vegetarian even, with a slice of jalapenos. I am not kidding when I say that it was canned beans, dry and without flavor, with a generous dollop of sour cream and sprinkles of semi-dry, as if left out for hours shredded cheese topping. This location has had several different restaurants and I have tried them all but this one by far has been the best . I love the country western atmosphere and decor. My sister and I stopped in for lunch she had the chicken fried steak dinner and loved it, I ate the club sandwich and it was delicious, they are very generous with their portions . We went to have breakfast and was VERY disappointed. The country potatoes had 25% burnt pieces and the eggs were cold. When I mentioned the issues to the server, I received the "oh well" attitude. Me and a date went to Seven bar and grill, The decor is a mix mash of the old west and 1950's rabble rouser's, The wood planking and the mix mentioned above, just did do for me. You are greeted by a young staff who were nice but looking like scared robots who were waiting for some manager to running up on them to give them good butt chewing. We were seated and the host asked us if we wanted drinks which came very fast. We did decide entrees, I got the meatloaf sandwich my date ordered the tri-tip sandwich. The food came with in 7 minuets, (no pun) It was hot and looked like a pile of plain brown plate. It has no sexiness what so ever. It was like they threw in on the plate from the steam tables they have set up in the kitchen. My date's was not any better looking. Before I had ordered I ask if the food was made daily, the server said yes, I began wit hthe mash potato's which came out of a box, you could taste the cardboard and paste in it. The side of gravy was again from a box lit looked like they open a dry package of mix and placed it a pan and added water, no pan drpping, no wine, or butter, it was real thick and tasted like crap. Just no love was in the food, Like robots putting out very bad food. No wonder Yukon jack's is closing. One Last thing, the place is vast. You could get stuck in a corner and be lost. Have never eaten in the restaurant, only in the bar. I like the food, but I'm always disappointed with the service. It's always so slow cause there's only ever the one bar tender/server for the whole 20 tables. She is very friendly but frequently disappears for long periods of time. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, and all of the staff were attentive and nice to interact with. I am pretty sure my fish was put in a microwave, as it was mush. Have been to this restaurant several times and have always been very pleased w/service and food. Today there were 11 of us--all seniors and we arrived approximately 1 pm. We were seated promptly and the service was bad from there on--including my meal. I believe we had the slowest waiter in the whole place. It took him forever to take our orders, after a slow service of drinks. And again to deliver our meals--we received our meals 60 minutes later. I ordered tri-tip & mushrooms off the senior menu and I received 2 small pieces of shoe leather w/overcooked dried up mushrooms. The food looked & tasted like left-over left-overs. OMG!! Ok...I have no clue why there are bad reviews here...I have eaten here and the Perkos on Clovis & Kings Canyon...same owner.....and the food is great...its breakfast...I always get the Eggs Benidict or I get the cheap meal Ham and eggs $3.49...for a quick in and out. The service was great, I like the decor in the Clovis western theme. This building has been haunted over the years (urban legend--so many places have been here and when out of business...I think it was EARLY DAWN originally. My fave was the buffet Chinese. I was with a table of about 30 downstairs and service was good - food others ordered looked pretty standard fair - decent american stuff (sandwiches, meatloaf, etc.). I ordered the fried green bean appetizer - fantastic stuff. If I have to eat vegetables, fried is one of my favorites preparations and I wasn't disappointed. Lots of beers to go around at happy hour too. I would say, don't expect too much, but worth a try for a beer and some appetizers. read more

We have eaten here several times/ Trying to to give it another chance. Service is always bad. This last time was the worst. We had 4 adults and 4 small children. We waited 40 minutes for a table. Not very crowded. Then after 20 more minutes our drink order was finally taken. Then took another 20 minutes to get the drinks. When We asked the waitress when drink would be coming. This is our first time at Sevens7 a little scared at first of the lack of patrons cars in the parking lot. I could see my girfriend was nervous from past experiences. We both kept it simple we sat in the bar, our waitres was Bailey (sorry if spelled wrong) great job w service knew what beers were on tap..i had the Drake robusto dark beer great flavor cant wait to order it again.. Sevens is our go to spot! Everything I've had here is good! We've only been here for lunch and dinner, but it's been enough to win us over. It's never too packed and the service is always good. We usually come here on Saturday mornings for a few reasons. My boyfriend works nights and isn't a huge fan of breakfast foods. This is the only place we have found that you can get anything on the menu at 6:30 a.m. So I can have my breakfast and he can eat his burger or ribs or whatever. Also, now the waitresses know us, and it's nice to have somewhere where they just let us go in and sit whereever, and know what we like. The food is not necessarily any better than anywhere else, but it's reasonably priced and the service/convenience is wonderful. read more
