Denver omelette
Paul D.

I have been here for awhile and decide to try it out again.I was greet by a nice lady who ask if I was alone or did I have other people .We got a table right way and it was a booth which I like .The menu had change and there was a senior menu which we both order from. The plates was small portions but still was good for us.The outside was clean and plenty of park too.

We came here on a weekday and the service was great as was the food. The waffles were soft and moist. However the bacon was pretty normal as were the eggs. The biscuit came out lukewarm, but they were freshly baked. The staff is very friendly and it is a true diner ambiance with several booths. The only thing is that the menu reflects cash price and anything paid by credit is an extra 3.75% surcharge.

I love the decoration and the theme of this restaurant! You can see G scale train running along the walls with good collections of trains in the wall. Overall it's a very cute place to dine in. Ordered Bill's omelette and tasted good, just a bit dry. The pancakes were amazing, love the milky taste of it, and very appreciated the warm maple syrup!

Fajita omelette with hash browns

This seems to be a popular place with locals, and gets my endorsement as well. Discovered via Yelp on a road trip, I can say they likely offer what you are craving, on their menu. Staff are prompt with service and followed-up throughout our visit to make sure we were taken care of. The quaintness of the building was very welcoming, and the walls were adorned with old railroad photos and memorabilia. I had their fajita omelette, and my father had the Coal Miner's omelette. Both were fresh and full of flavor. We both opted for the biscuits and gravy, lin lieu of toast, and were very satisfied. Pass ing through Fresno, or if you're living in Fresno and never been, this is a great spot to stop and enjoy.

This place was recommended and had to check it out. I was out with 16 people and we called almost 2 hours for seating. Walking in there were a lot of people inside. Kinda loud inside and a lot of people talking. I ordered Pancake Combo with bacon, sausage & strawberries. Pancakes....bacon...sausage were all good. I'd definitely recommend everyone to come here.

Great spot to stop in for a hearty breakfast or brunch. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the corned beef hash and French toast were delicious. The entire staff worked hard and seamlessly together to provide top-notch service. Prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly.

Fast and friendly service. Love supporting this local restaurant. Food is consistent. Plenty of choices and price is reasonable. Plenty of spaces in this plaza. It is located in the NW corner of First and Ashlan. Sometimes, I find it easier to find a table for 2 than big parties b/c of the flow of the traffic (opinion only).

The service the great; waitress was attentive. The food was great, my omelette was well cooked and veggies were just right. The pork chop plate was great. The ambiance was okay but great. A bit dated but that expected hence the name. I only wish they had the coffee mugs bigger. Over good place to eat breakfast.

All the staff is so friendly and welcoming, best service! I didn't like the mushroom & jack cheese omelette, it felt very bland. The biscuits & gravy was 5/10. It was very busy, I didn't get to see the train.

First time here. Service was great. Food was yummy! Probably the best French toast I've had lol, it was so good.

Chorizo con Huevos
Rowen H.

Couple of my boys forced me to go here and I am a very picky eater. I usually eat my own homemade Mexican food, but this place did the chorizo pretty dang well. The other food looked good, but I totally forgot to take a photo of everybody else's food. They even have a cute little train track going between two rooms.

My family…read moreand I have been coming here for over 10 years, and we have brought my service dog with us before without an issue. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. There seemed to be new staff and management, and shortly after arriving, I was questioned about my service dog. I completely understand that businesses are allowed to ask whether a dog is a service animal required because of a disability and what task the dog is trained to perform. I had no problem answering those questions. What I did have a problem with was being repeatedly asked to provide proof or documentation. First the server asked, then the manager asked me again, and then another employee became involved. I even had documentation available and showed it, although under the ADA, businesses generally cannot require service-dog certification, paperwork, or proof as a condition of entry. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was noticing staff talking among themselves and pointing toward me after I explained that I had already answered the permitted questions. It made me feel singled out and unwelcome. My service dog is extremely gentle and well behaved. We have been loyal customers for more than a decade, so being treated this way was especially disappointing. I ultimately decided to leave because I did not feel comfortable giving my business to a restaurant after being treated this way. Unfortunately, batterup lost a longtime customer that day. For anyone dining with a service dog, my experience at Mimi's Cafe was the complete opposite. I felt welcomed and treated respectfully without being made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I hope batter up Fresno provides its staff and management with proper ADA service-animal training so another customer does not have to experience this

HUGE Thank You to our Server Jessica and the rest of the staff here! Everyone was so nice, Jessica…read moreespecially was super attentive, our coffees were always full, our food came out at a decent time and it was still nice and hot and she was so friendly throughout our time here, so Jessica if you ever see this, Thank you so much, we appreciate you! We happened to be in the area today with a failed trip to Lithia Ford for a car repair. We both were hungry and needed to choose between breakfast or Mexican food, we flipped a coin and the coin chose breakfast. I'm glad it did, cause right when we were heading towards another breakfast spot, we made the quick decision to just choose what was nearby. It's a restaurant name we've heard of, but haven't been, so we opted to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Because the food was amazing and the service just as much! Parking lot was full but not too crazy, that luckily came after we were seated. Inside was nicely themed to Louisiana Bayou with gators and cute signs with quotes and a big tree in the seating area with sound effects of bugs from the swamp. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a nice greeting from one of the busy waitresses who let us know we would be seated in a moment. Our server Jessica came up with a smile and a warm welcome and had us follow her to our booth. We both started off with coffee and browsed the menu, this menu had some usual fair but definitely stayed in the theme of the restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, like andouille sausage as a breakfast meat choice. I went with their "Hucks Platter" which is 3 eggs anyway you want, choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and you can choose between a couple varieties of meats, steak, chicken fried steak, sausage, bacon and andouille. It also comes with a choice of side, being toast, homemade biscuit or their huckleberry bread? I played it safe and went with the white toast. I also went with the bacon cause I love me some bacon! It was hickory smoked and my goodness it was cooked to perfection! My whole meal was cooked perfectly! I truly appreciate the cooking staff for doing such an amazing job during a busy morning. Jess chose the Banana Foster French Toast and my goodness! It looked just as good if not better than the picture. It was loaded, thick and comes with a side of eggs and your choice of meat. She loved the French toast, she's never had Bananas Foster before but she said it was decadent, sweet and had a nice caramelized flavor. Would recommend and also get it again! We paid, "with tip" around $57, which isn't bad for most breakfast spots now a days. Especially when you're getting this kind of food quality and service. We never went without a fresh hot cup of coffee and a nice check in from Jess or one of the other servers to pick up a plate or ask us how we're doing. I do apologize for no pictures, when the food came out, it looked so good we just dug right in! We both would absolutely come back and eat here again if we're in the area or back in Fresno looking for a breakfast spot. If you're in and or from here, you should definitely make this your go-to breakfast spot!

The food did take a while to get to us but I ordered an appetizer and that did come fast so it held us over and honestly, I wasn't holding it against them. It was so packed. The server was very nice. I ordered a Cajun omelette and we also had the fried okra. My husband had the Riverboat omelette. Both were very good. The biscuit that I had with the omelette was fresh and hot and a really good size. The okra came with two different dipping sauces. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside. Love this place and can't wait to come back again.

The meal did not disappoint. I'm always looking for healthy protein plates to eat. The portion was good. My guest had the roasted chicken club sandwich and a side of watermelon, which looked juicy and sweet. It gave us the energy we needed to head back home. A last horrah indeed…read more Despite one negative experience, I have to give James and his team props for providing me with one of the best breakfast experiences Fresno had to offer in terms of food. That hollandaise sauce is one to remember and I'd pay big money to buy it if it were bottled up. Devin has served me many times in the past and she's always such a fun person to talk to. One of the best servers here that had been here for a long period of time that knows how to run a crazy show while running around. The Clapton. Simple. Yet perfect. I wish I could've explored the menu more but as a Taurus I had to keep my favorite the favorite. Best of luck to the staff and James himself. I hope this isn't my last time having this Benedict. They use a QR code menu, which I actually think is a cool idea, but the cell signal was weak, so I ended up using a paper printout. Not a big deal, but having a couple of backup menus available would make things smoother. My only small wish: I'd love to see fountain sodas on the menu. The classic glass bottle Coke was a nice touch, but nothing beats an ice-cold fountain drink with a great breakfast. Overall, Benediction is a fresh, stylish spot with amazing food and great energy. Highly recommend!
