    Chicken bacon each sandwich
    Keke K.

I visited this restaurant during my recent trip to Fresno, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I went in really needing good coffee and breakfast, and I was honestly shocked by how amazing everything turned out to be. The coffee was incredibly good, far better than I expected, and the place itself felt warm and cozy from the moment I walked in. For breakfast, I got the French toast and asked my server to make it look pretty, and she absolutely delivered. It looked beautiful and tasted just as amazing. I also tried the Spanish omelette with tomatoes, bell peppers, salsa and sour cream, and it was delicious. I ordered it with a side of fruit, and everything was so fresh! I then tried the chicken bacon ranch sandwich on sourdough with a side of potatoes and oh my god....the potatoes were unbelievable. I have no idea what they put in them, but I could not get enough. It was buttery and crispy and everything! The sandwich was too good! The service was great from start to finish. I arrived early in the morning, and even then a few tables were already filled, and more people kept coming in as we sat there. It was clearly a popular spot, and after eating there, I completely understand why.

    Veggie and potato scramble. Amazing!

Well, the rumors are true. Red Apple Café is absolutely amazing for breakfast. Word is definitely out about this place as there were tons of people were there on Saturday morning. Fortunately they are a high volume operation so we did not need to wait long to be seated or for the food. And everything we did have was amazing. I keep using that word to describe this place but that's because it's one of the better breakfast places I've been to in several years. It has the California country style and has a very homey feel. The country fried steak was delicious, as was the famous potato scramble with the vegetables. It had tons of cheese and egg on top. The other folks in our group got the Hawaiian French toast and the apple pie French toast both of which were super sweet and delicious. Overall zero complaints, and I wish this place was close to where I live. I would definitely go here all the time if it was. Easily five stars and I would rate it higher if I could.

10.11.2025 We came here after the Clovis XC Invitational looking for some good home-cooked food. And this place did not disappoint! The wait at 10:30 am on a Saturday was 20 minutes, so it wasn't too bad. It was a cozy diner with friendly staff. Our server and other staff were attentive and quick to turnover tables. It was busy the entire time we were there. And there were still people waiting outside for a table when we left. I had their Crab Cake Benedict and it was very yummy! The crab cake was thin and fried, but had just the right amount of crab in it. The hollandaise sauce was light and tasty. Usually hollandaise sauces are thick, goopy and too rich so I ask for it on the side. But our server recommended this meal over the chicken fried steak because of the sauce. And I agree wholeheartedly that this one was good. The eggs were cooked perfectly! The potatoes were huge pieces and seasoned well. The whole meal was comforting and filling. If you can't find parking in their small lot, go out and turn right on the first residential street after it.

We loved our breakfast at Red Apple Cafe! It was the perfect carb-heavy breakfast to energize us for our hikes to the national parks. The coffee was good, and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're looking for a hearty meal before a long day of exploring!

I've eaten here several times. It can get busy so if you're not coming here during the week expect a wait. A great selection of lunch and breakfast items. I posted the Chiliquiles. The sauce was a nice topper (ask for extra). I enjoy their selection of coffee cocktails. I didn't have one this time but next time no holding back. It's a pretty casual place but there's plenty of business being done here over breakfast.

I really wanted to have a nice Homestyle breakfast with a friend of mine and suggested this Cafe they are known for their potatoes and boy did they not disappoint. We ordered mimosas with our meal that came out very quickly. I must say I really like the drinks here because they know how to pour. We both ordered the Tequila Sunrise Mimosa which was an excellent choice. Are order was taken by our server and our food came out shortly. I ordered the breakfast with turkey sausage eggs and potatoes. This dish also came with your choice of bread to which I had an English muffin. My friend ordered a vegetable omelette and added bacon to it. The size was incredible and there were definitely leftovers. Overall this is a highly recommended restaurant. In most cases there is a wait, however because we came later in the afternoon we were easy lease seated.

I was passing through the area and needed a hearty meal. The Red Apple fit the bill. It was a Saturday so the restaurant had a wait. The food was satisfying and our servers were attentive. If you're looking for a breakfast/brunch spot and want to forgo the normal chains, give this place a try.

Stopped here on the way to Yosemite. They have REALLY good service. A lot of workers walking around, refilling drinks when they get a chance, friendly and fast. The restaurant was a bit packed when we went in on Friday noon. - Espresso Martini 3.9/5 Strong, pretty good espresso martini. - The Works Omelette 3.7/5 HUGE omelette. Cheesy, meaty, it really hit the spot for an omelette. Definitely can taste all the different kinds of meat in there. - Potatoes 1.2/5 A big let down. Wasn't crispy, tasted soggy. - Steak & Eggs 1.6/5 Steak we asked for medium rare but came out medium well. Underseasoned. Tough. - Hash brown 4.7/5 Hash browns were very crispy on top and soft underneath. - Potato Salad 5/5 Got to try the potato salad. It was AMAZING. Literal definition of what a potato salad should be. Free parking in lot

Recommended by a friend. Cute place to eat. Very busy so a little loud. Amazing service by our waitress. Food was delicious! My husband and I both ended up bringing home leftovers. Huge menu. Only open for breakfast and lunch. No military discount. Indoor and outdoor seating.

It has been awhile since I have been here. Still yummy. Waitress is attentive; took my order immediately. So many food choices here, but I went traditional. Plenty of space inside, but parking space can be an issue here. Overall, I say this is a gem in the Northern part of Fresno Area.

Went here on a whim on a Saturday morning and glad we did! We got on the list and were seated quickly. The restaurant isn't fancy, but it's cute and cozy. They do also have a patio option that is covered which is nice. The service was fantastic. We had a couple people checking on us and got refills without having to ask. Food was also pretty quick. Breakfast was super tasty. Everything was fresh and good quality and big portions. I tried my husband's country potatoes and the flavor was amazing. My French toast meal really hit the spot with a mix of sweet and savory. So glad we stopped by!

Great sertvice, great food! After attempting to have breakfast elsewhere where I was disrespected as a disabled veteran it turned out to be a positive because we tried Red Apple Cafe. Breakfast was completely enjoyable!

Service good and ambiance was nice . However the menu selection was standard fair. I ordered corn beef hash as it's their house special and my favorite breakfast dish. They placed the eggs over the hash to disguise the not good hash . It was so crumbly it needed a spoon to scoop up and you couldn't taste the corn beef as it was in a puddle of oil. The coffee was also undrinkable very bitter. I had high hopes and was extremely underwhelmed . Potatoes were delicious however and my girlfriend's chicken fried steak was very good. Last pet peeve they have paper napkins not cloth . Over all 3 1/2 out of five stars . For me it was just overrated to my experience. Maybe it was a bad day for the cook. Unlikely I would ever come back .

Ask the Community - Red Apple Cafe

Can they take a party of 9?

I've seen large parties, I know they are nitpicking everything, you might be able to get two tables

Is the contact number wrong on here?

Looks right. They're probably too swamped to answer. Head on over there or order online.

Why are you not open at 6:00 am when you're Yelp site states that?

Because yelp is a 3rd party.

Is patio seating available for dining during COVID-19?

    Yes!

    Do they offer bottomless mimosas?

    Not that I seen.

    How long is the wait?

Wait times vary but usually 10 to 20 minutes.

We tried to go this morning is it closed permanently?

As far as I know they are still open.

Do you have AARP discounts? Or military discounts?

Military if the person is in their military uniform.

Would this be a good place to have a baby shower? Like is there a good group gathering area?

This place has a main dining area and an outside eating area. Personally, I would not hold any event there because the space is so limited. They do host larger groups of people to eat. In all of my times of eating there, I've only seen a party of 8… Read more

I didn't mind it, I've been here once before (a very long time ago), but the wait was a lot longer than we anticipated today... We saw 5 different groups who put their names down AFTER us get seated BEFORE us. 2 groups of 4, 2 groups of 3, and another with just 2 (like us)... the hostess, as nice as she was, missed our name on the list somehow-- and she was going back and forth between two lists at the time. There was one clear list when I signed up with only 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. So, yeah. Apart from the really long wait (with limited space + rain outside)... the staff was super friendly and made it hard to be upset, honestly. I think my hanger had a good pull on my mood as well. We got our drink orders taken right away. He got a soda, I got a coffee. I wish the coffee tasted better than it did, but whatevs. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast (1/2 order) to share, as well as the Bull Dog Jalapeño Cheddar sausage plate. Each plate came with a side of eggs (he got over hard, I got over easy)... choice of bacon or sausage for the French Toast-- he chose bacon. The sausage dish came with country potatoes and [we chose] toast. The sausage was pretty good, I just wish it was warmer. It didn't feel hot at all. The eggs and potatoes were as they should be. Bacon was nice and crispy. The Cinnamon Roll was my favorite portion of our meal (sweet but not overly sweet-- don't drown it in syrup), but I saved it for last and by the time I got to it... I was almost stuffed! We still cleared our plates though. That melted butter makes all the difference though... spread that baby out! All in all, once I finally got coffee and food in my system... I was able to enjoy our breakfast and not be hung up on the wait. I understand they were super busy, I saw it with my own eyes, it was the mere fact we were skipped over multiple times is all. Anywho, not the best I've ever had but it got the job done. Would this place be my first choice next time? Probably not. Would I come back again? Yes, just not when I'm starving and hangry! K, byeee.
