    Veggie omelette
    Calista S.

Went for the first time and they had great service! Love the atmosphere. Servers were great and helpful, but I couldn't even eat my food without a whole bunch of grease in my mouth. I've never had a greasy omelette before. It was drenched for some reason. I ate all my hash browns, those were good. If I ever come back, I won't be getting omelettes again.

Really popular place and I can see why! The pancakes are probably the best ones I've had! Fresh, fluffy, and tasty. Also ordered an omelette and the linguisa with eggs. Really good. Very family friendly place and many staff walking around. Inside can get a bit crowded due to the table configurations but I would recommend coming! But come earlier or you'll be waiting a while.

7:20am: Sat quick. Beat the Saturday crowd. This place filled fast - by 8am there were only 2 open tables and we could see why. The selections were phenomenal, the results fantastic, and the service good and prompt. Cinnamon roll French toast = best of both worlds, and large. Biscuits and G - some of the best flavor I've had anywhere, savory, creamy and just thick enough. A Half order is larger than a full breakfast in most places! Bacon and poached medium eggs - flavor and perfection. And the coffee cake pancake, you won't regret that either. It's loaded with cinnamon and caramelized crunch! Portions are huge! Bring your appetite!

My friend always gets the Warrior Fitness Two 2oz Protein Pancakes & 3-Egg Omelet with Basil Pesto, Onion, Mushrooms, Spinach, Bell Peppers & Tukey Bacon Topped with Provolone Cheese Served on a Bed of Spinach - with Cinnamon Roll pancakes instead of Protein pancakes. I got the Chorizo Omelet Stuffed with Chorizo, Anaheim Chiles, Onions & Tomatoes, With Jalapeño Pepper Jack Cheese Inside & Out. Topped With Avocado. The service and food are amazing and I highly recommend!

Arrived around 9 a.m. on a Thursday and no problem getting seated right away. Service was prompt and friendly. I hadn't tried their cinnamon roll pancake before that I've heard a lot about so my friend and I ordered one of those and a fruit and yogurt granola bowl to share. The pancake did indeed taste like a cinnamon roll with a glaze on top with crispy edges. Flavor was good albeit a little sweet with all the glaze. No syrup needed here! The fruit and granola bowl was a good mix of fruit, but just an average bowl. I don't really care for the coffee either which is a bummer. Tables and restaurant were clean. I would say if you're a pancake lover this is a nice spot to put in your rotation. I also saw some other omelet plates going by that looked good as well with generous portions.

    Chilaquiles

There is this popular couple on IG where the guy keeps snitching on his wife to his MIL that his wife won't make him Chilaquiles so the MIL gets bad at her daughter and makes it for him. I didn't know what Chilaquiles were. Yes I know. I don't know how I didn't know what they were either. I grew up with burritos and nachos in the Bay Area. My Fiance tells me that they have really good Chilaquiles at Batter Up. I was like "that pancake place?" And she said "yeah it's really good". Aight bet get in the car lol So we get here and the staff is nice and it's not too busy. So I order the Chilaquiles and yooooooooo I get why that guy be snitchin on his wife for the entire world see. It was really good. The chips were crunchy and tossed in this sauce that hit a spot I didn't know I had. Then it dawned on me that it's like breakfast nachos. I know I know. Please be kind. I would definitely go again and next time I want to try the pancakes cause I kept seeing them bring them out to other patrons and I remember being jealous. Lol

    Wild Pitch (No Cheese)

Batter Up Pancakes is a well-known and recognized brunch spot. My family from Japan were visiting so we wanted to take them to a classic American spot that could accommodate a large group. Our party of 14 left stuffed and content! We arrived on a weekday around 9:30am. Already, it was busy with customers. So despite the day or time know there might be a wait! Since we had a larger party, we had to wait for quite some time but the staff was great. They were efficient, kind, and checked on us. We appreciate all of their help. Our family all ordered their plates. Most of them enjoyed The Hawaiian Pancake which was sweet, nutty, and fruity. For myself, I got the Wild Pitch, No Cheese. I requested it as a scramble but they gave me an omelette. I found it to be well-filled with toppings but on the blander end. I chose Hashbrowns as my side which was mostly just crispy and thin no softness to it. It was good but I'd say get their pancakes instead. Batter Up Pancakes is a beloved spot in Fresno. This is their second location which is located in a shopping plaza with ample free parking. Glad I could finally give them a visit and my Japanese family was all happily satisfied!

Veggie scramble with egg whites and cottage cheese

This place showed up on yelp when I was searching for breakfast options the other morning, and the pictures and reviews looks good so I figured I would give it a try! I really enjoyed the interior, definitely gives a sporty diner vibe. It smelled really good walking in those doors, and it was very warm and welcoming. The host was very bubbly and friendly, she told us to pick where we'd like to sit. Our waitress was very friendly as well, she was all smiles and ordering was a breeze, plus the food came out in a timely manner. Excellent service. The menu had a good variety of options, I had the veggie scramble with egg whites, and my friend had these gigantic pancakes. He thoroughly enjoyed his pancakes, and I liked my veggie scramble. The veg themselves could've been cooked, just a tad longer, but overall it was really good. I also really liked that it came with a side of cottage cheese, it's been a while since I've seen cottage cheese served in a restaurant and it made me really appreciate that aspect. If you enjoy coffee, they do make a pretty good cup of coffee. I had the hazelnut creamer and wasn't expecting much, but that creamer brought the coffee over the edge in a fantastic way, I definitely recommend getting creamer with your coffee. It's not your average creamer. Overall, if you live in or if you're visiting the Fresno area and are thinking about going to a place for breakfast, I definitely recommend this one.

Love the food here. Pancakes are delicious. Everything is fresh. When you walk in they say "sit wherever ". So we find a place to sit. The issue I have is the staff will say you cannot sit somewhere it's reserved. Why didn't you say that. Then a few minutes later a random customer comes in. They say sit wherever and they are allowed to sit there. It makes you feel awkward. Also the tables are way too close to each other. Barely any room to exit and use the restroom if needed. This is the main reason I don't visit more often. I'm spending over 100 for breakfast, for me and the kiddos. I should enjoy my time at your establishment.

I didn't mind it, I've been here once before (a very long time ago), but the wait was a lot longer than we anticipated today... We saw 5 different groups who put their names down AFTER us get seated BEFORE us. 2 groups of 4, 2 groups of 3, and another with just 2 (like us)... the hostess, as nice as she was, missed our name on the list somehow-- and she was going back and forth between two lists at the time. There was one clear list when I signed up with only 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. So, yeah. Apart from the really long wait (with limited space + rain outside)... the staff was super friendly and made it hard to be upset, honestly. I think my hanger had a good pull on my mood as well. We got our drink orders taken right away. He got a soda, I got a coffee. I wish the coffee tasted better than it did, but whatevs. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast (1/2 order) to share, as well as the Bull Dog Jalapeño Cheddar sausage plate. Each plate came with a side of eggs (he got over hard, I got over easy)... choice of bacon or sausage for the French Toast-- he chose bacon. The sausage dish came with country potatoes and [we chose] toast. The sausage was pretty good, I just wish it was warmer. It didn't feel hot at all. The eggs and potatoes were as they should be. Bacon was nice and crispy. The Cinnamon Roll was my favorite portion of our meal (sweet but not overly sweet-- don't drown it in syrup), but I saved it for last and by the time I got to it... I was almost stuffed! We still cleared our plates though. That melted butter makes all the difference though... spread that baby out! All in all, once I finally got coffee and food in my system... I was able to enjoy our breakfast and not be hung up on the wait. I understand they were super busy, I saw it with my own eyes, it was the mere fact we were skipped over multiple times is all. Anywho, not the best I've ever had but it got the job done. Would this place be my first choice next time? Probably not. Would I come back again? Yes, just not when I'm starving and hangry! K, byeee.
