    Tri tip egg omelet
    Lisa V.

This has to be one of my favorite diners/breakfast spots in town! The food is cooked to order, fresh, and delicious, the portions are also huge! The service is top tier with several staff greeting you. Our server was super friendly and checked in on us throughout our meal. The food came quick. They also serve freshly squeeze oranges as orange juice which was delicious! I ordered the country fried steak and their sausage gravy was the BEST gravy I've tried at a restaurant. My partner ordered the tri tip egg omelet skillet which he really enjoyed. The potatoes that came with his skillet was to die for! It was seasoned perfectly and will definitely be an item I order next time. Overall, I highly recommend this place and this place will be in regular rotation when I want to eat out for breakfast. Thank you for giving us such an amazing experience!

The service is always good. The ambience it's familiar and casual. The food it's always on point. My mother in Law was very impressed with the chile verde omelette. She didn't think it was going to be good and she loved it. She said it was even a little spicy which she loved. I get the vegan meal and I love that they prep all the veggies and the hash browns so good. I love that meal. My husband got the Ham and Cheese omelette. He really enjoyed it my daughter love their cheeseburger. The coffee it's very good. I really love their coffee. The waitress took a while to ask if we needed more coffee. I managed to ask someone for more coffee. I am coming back for sure.

    Gigantic, hot, fluffy, delicious pancakes

Pancakes at a baseball-themed restaurant. What more can I say. ;-). Little place hard in the corner of a shopping center with obvious locals. Just the kind of place that has the best food, anywhere. Had two of their giant pancakes and they were hot, fluffy syrup vacuum's. Delicious. Bacon here is chewy & I prefer it to be crisp. My waitress (Presley) advised that next time I let them know my preference. There will most definitely be a next time & I most definitely shall. 5-stars

Really popular place and I can see why! The pancakes are probably the best ones I've had! Fresh, fluffy, and tasty. Also ordered an omelette and the linguisa with eggs. Really good. Very family friendly place and many staff walking around. Inside can get a bit crowded due to the table configurations but I would recommend coming! But come earlier or you'll be waiting a while.

7:20am: Sat quick. Beat the Saturday crowd. This place filled fast - by 8am there were only 2 open tables and we could see why. The selections were phenomenal, the results fantastic, and the service good and prompt. Cinnamon roll French toast = best of both worlds, and large. Biscuits and G - some of the best flavor I've had anywhere, savory, creamy and just thick enough. A Half order is larger than a full breakfast in most places! Bacon and poached medium eggs - flavor and perfection. And the coffee cake pancake, you won't regret that either. It's loaded with cinnamon and caramelized crunch! Portions are huge! Bring your appetite!

My friend always gets the Warrior Fitness Two 2oz Protein Pancakes & 3-Egg Omelet with Basil Pesto, Onion, Mushrooms, Spinach, Bell Peppers & Tukey Bacon Topped with Provolone Cheese Served on a Bed of Spinach - with Cinnamon Roll pancakes instead of Protein pancakes. I got the Chorizo Omelet Stuffed with Chorizo, Anaheim Chiles, Onions & Tomatoes, With Jalapeño Pepper Jack Cheese Inside & Out. Topped With Avocado. The service and food are amazing and I highly recommend!

    Fruit and yogurt granola bowl

Arrived around 9 a.m. on a Thursday and no problem getting seated right away. Service was prompt and friendly. I hadn't tried their cinnamon roll pancake before that I've heard a lot about so my friend and I ordered one of those and a fruit and yogurt granola bowl to share. The pancake did indeed taste like a cinnamon roll with a glaze on top with crispy edges. Flavor was good albeit a little sweet with all the glaze. No syrup needed here! The fruit and granola bowl was a good mix of fruit, but just an average bowl. I don't really care for the coffee either which is a bummer. Tables and restaurant were clean. I would say if you're a pancake lover this is a nice spot to put in your rotation. I also saw some other omelet plates going by that looked good as well with generous portions.

I took my son to the Clovis location during the week. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit because there was no wait or crowd. We were serviced quickly and the food came out fast. Everything was delicious and the serving sizes were huge. Both my son and I ended up having to take our food home because we couldn't finish the portions that were served. Our server was great, she was attentive, but not overbearing. Overall, we had a great experience.

    Chilaquiles

There is this popular couple on IG where the guy keeps snitching on his wife to his MIL that his wife won't make him Chilaquiles so the MIL gets bad at her daughter and makes it for him. I didn't know what Chilaquiles were. Yes I know. I don't know how I didn't know what they were either. I grew up with burritos and nachos in the Bay Area. My Fiance tells me that they have really good Chilaquiles at Batter Up. I was like "that pancake place?" And she said "yeah it's really good". Aight bet get in the car lol So we get here and the staff is nice and it's not too busy. So I order the Chilaquiles and yooooooooo I get why that guy be snitchin on his wife for the entire world see. It was really good. The chips were crunchy and tossed in this sauce that hit a spot I didn't know I had. Then it dawned on me that it's like breakfast nachos. I know I know. Please be kind. I would definitely go again and next time I want to try the pancakes cause I kept seeing them bring them out to other patrons and I remember being jealous. Lol

Batter Up Pancakes is a well-known and recognized brunch spot. My family from Japan were visiting so we wanted to take them to a classic American spot that could accommodate a large group. Our party of 14 left stuffed and content! We arrived on a weekday around 9:30am. Already, it was busy with customers. So despite the day or time know there might be a wait! Since we had a larger party, we had to wait for quite some time but the staff was great. They were efficient, kind, and checked on us. We appreciate all of their help. Our family all ordered their plates. Most of them enjoyed The Hawaiian Pancake which was sweet, nutty, and fruity. For myself, I got the Wild Pitch, No Cheese. I requested it as a scramble but they gave me an omelette. I found it to be well-filled with toppings but on the blander end. I chose Hashbrowns as my side which was mostly just crispy and thin no softness to it. It was good but I'd say get their pancakes instead. Batter Up Pancakes is a beloved spot in Fresno. This is their second location which is located in a shopping plaza with ample free parking. Glad I could finally give them a visit and my Japanese family was all happily satisfied!

Gotta love their motto: "Every plate is made with love, and every customer is treated like family." I've had the pleasure of meeting Teresa on a few occasions and chatting a bit. She is just so genuine and earnest. I always look forward to seeing her and chatting if she has the time. Each time we are in the area (usually to visit Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks) we make sure to stop in. This visit we managed to come in twice! Yay! Just love the working model train set perched overhead in both eating areas. If it's not running, just ask your server and they will turn it on. First visit I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas (comes with refried beans, rice, chips and salsa) along with a nice refreshing beer. Second visit I ordered the Trainwreck breakfast (eggs, hash browns, bell peppers, onions, tortilla chips, jack and cheddar cheese. Plus choice of two meats and two additional vegetables.) with biscuit and gravy. I choose two types of sausage, zucchini and avocado. Oh and an ice cold beer of course. Both meals were fresh and delicious. No matter what I order here I always know it will be tasty and well balanced. Service is always friendly, helpful and courteous! If I lived closer I would definitely stop by more often!

The fajitas were overcooked, and the enchilada was topped with what tasted more like gravy than enchilada sauce, which was really strange. The kids' mac and cheese looked and tasted like something straight from a box. Service was okay, although a little slow. We haven't tried breakfast, so maybe that's where they shine, but based on our lunch and dinner experiences, I don't think we'd go back.

He explained the menu really well and got everyone's drink orders. The drinks did take a little while to come out, and one thing I noticed was since everyone was ordering food at different times, the food kind of came out little by little. It felt like it took a while to get some of our food after we ordered, and it almost made it seem like they wanted us to keep ordering drinks while we waited. We were there for about 2 hours just eating and drinking. Now the food... it was honestly SO good! I just wish the portions were a little bigger for how much everything costs. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, but in my opinion it's definitely on the pricey side for what you get. The Truffle Mac & Cheese was really good, but it was such a small portion. The Crispy Bluefin Nigiri was probably one of my favorite things we ordered! It has crispy sushi rice, bluefin toro, honey-cashew sauce, avocado, and aged ponzu. It was SO good... but it's only like five little bite-sized pieces for $24. It was delicious, I just couldn't get over the price. The Mushroom Risotto was also really, really good! And my favorite meal was probably the Spicy Shrimp Bucatini. It has shrimp, Italian sausage, fresh bucatini, Calabrian chili, Grana Padano, and toasted breadcrumbs. The flavor was sooo good! We shared it, but honestly I could've eaten the whole thing by myself. If I go back, I'd definitely order that as my meal. For drinks, I tried the Frozen Summer Margarita, and it was so refreshing! It has watermelon, hibiscus, basil, and citrus, and I really liked it. I also tried the Pool Boy, which has gin, watermelon liqueur, cucumber, basil, and citrus. That one was really good too! The restaurant itself is super cute inside! The only other thing I'd mention is that when we were leaving, there were a lot of people hanging around the bar, so it was a little hard to get to the bathrooms. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. Also, if you're going with a bigger group, just know they automatically add 18% gratuity to every tab. I totally understand why they do it, but with the menu already being pretty expensive, it definitely makes your bill go up fast. Overall, I really did like Saizon! The food and drinks were delicious, and it's a really cute place. I think next time I'd go for a date night or with a smaller group instead of a big party. Just be prepared that it's a little pricey for the portion sizes, and if you're with a large group, don't forget about that automatic 18% gratuity.
