My family and I went pretty early on a rainy Saturday. Surprisingly it was a 30min wait before 8am! Does nobody sleep in! Anyways we maybe waited 20mins and our corner booth table was ready. Well we got it drinks very quickly. Took a while to order. We normally order the kids meals right away so they aren't screaming their heads off. I got the French toast and the man got the chicken fried steak. Everything was yummy. There were so many pancake options it was really hard for me to decide. read more

Batter up has some really solid pancakes and some fun flavors to keep it interesting. I like how fluffy and buttery the pancakes are. The portion sizes are also huge and the waitress was great. The only downside to this place is that while the portion sizes are huge it is kind of expensive. read more

Cute little place but busy as heck and apparently it's that way every Sunday. Expect a wait for a table to be at least an hour, maybe two, and they don't take reservations. HOWEVER... the bacon was worth it! Thick and yummy. The staff was nice too, though they seem to be overworked for sure! Pricing was inline. I'd go again. read more

Food was mediocre and the food was overpriced. The staff was incredibly rude. I had to wait 30 minutes before anyone offered water to me. Came to this location because it was viral but would never come to this restaurant again. read more

Wonderful waitress....she handled our group of 7 with a smile and some patience...(3 kids)! Everyone loved their meals with the exception of myself and my son. We both got the chorizo omelette and were expecting some flavorful chorizo and the pepper jack cheese as described on the menu. Both omelettes tasted nothing like chorizo, no cheese to be found inside or on top and it was very watery. We will still certainly return, but will order something else. The rest of our meals were outstanding. The pancakes and biscuits were yummy. read more

Love this place. It's our go to when anyone comes into town. The cinnamon roll pancake, the chili verde breakfast tacos, the banana bread French toast... you can't go wrong. I haven't had lunch here yet because the breakfast is so good. It is on the pricier side but the portions reflect it as well as the quality. read more

Batter Up hit it out of the park! We met up with some friends on a Saturday morning and we're fortunate to be seating almost immediately at one of their outdoor tables. The food was delicious and the portions were enormous. I ordered the Chile verde burrito and I highly recommend it. We ordered a side of biscuits and gravy for the table; another recommendation. If you've got littles, they could definitely share; the kids pancakes were bigger than their actual faces! Even though they were slammed, we got our food quickly. Everyone worked as a team and it was evident through the service. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

I'm not leaving this review because of the food -- the food was fine. I'm leaving it because of the hostess Zowi She was extremely rude and had a bad attitude from the moment we walked in. First impressions matter, and unfortunately hers made the experience unpleasant before we even sat down. Management should really address this. read more

First off, I RARELY give 5 stars. My GF and I came here today for breakfast 4/11/26. It was busy in there and they had an hr wait. But they said we could sit at the bar and eat so we did. There were like 8 seats available and 2 people were sitting there so we had ample room. And the table height was absolutely perfect for me since Im paralyzed in a wheelchair. We both ordered the chile verde omelette . The food came out SUPERFAST and was piping hot and soso with flavor. The hashbrowns had me out kinda thick with browned edges. I forgot to tell them that I like my hashbrowns pressed flat and cooked crispy. I'm MOST impressed with their pancakes. It was large and cooked golden brown just like I like. My only gripe was that they had a plastic bottle with syrup and I had to ask them what flavor it was, was it sugar free, was it a light syrup. I advised that they need to label it because I would hate to have put that on my pancake an it taste something other than regular maple syrup. I asked The was a young server ifI can have a small bowl to put my syrup in because I like to dip my cake in the syrup. And she asked me "Sure, do you want it warmed p)? And I looked at her with a smirke as if to say "HELL YESS"! She did it and it was AWESOME!! It's these little things that make me want to come back. The pancake wa buttery, moist, cakey with a faint taste of vanilly. Price was VERY STEEP for me but I know that EVERYTHING has gone up since covide and inflation and yayayyayay. Came out to 55 bucks including tip for 2 plates, a cup of coffee. Id definitely got back again but that price left a slight sour taste in my mouth. read more

Food was delicious, perfectly cooked, all of our food came out at perfect temperatures. Coffee cups never got less than 1/2 full. Friend had the Linguica was very tasty. Our sever Sheila was outstanding, always checking on us. We arrived around 7:30 AM before the Sunday rush. When we were leaving the place was getting packed (8:30 ish). When you're sitting at your table take a look around at all the rafters, ceiling - fun stuff. Everything all very clean & professional. Highly recommend them, Eat & Support Local. read more

Everything tasted so good and the service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Not the Batter Up that I loved. My beef is going to start with the up charge of pancakes and a chicken fried steak. Is the quality good? Well the clout of the over price pancakes still leave a bitter taste. So the price of The Bunt clear shows a price of 3 pancakes for $21.99 and you have a choice of strawberry, banana, or blueberry. I chose to have each pancake with all three of those options. Also each pancake has pecans in it. Then I wanted the extra side of chicken fried steak that showed a price of $4.99. When the waiter took our order she asked if we wanted gravy. Well who doesn't get gravy with chicken fried steak?!! In the end we were charged $8.99 because we wanted gravy. Our total bill with a 15% tip amounted to $44. So you can see the complaint is justified. Three pancakes and a chicken fried steak with gravy. We will not be back and you can bet that I won't endorse this place ever. read more

We waited for 45 minutes but worth the wait. The food was amazing with big portions. Omg, the pancakes are to die for, super fluffy and yummy!!!. The omelet was fluffy too and had a lot of mushrooms and spinach - so yummy. The avocado cost extra but well worth it. The ambiance was a bit problematic for me, it was really noisy cause it has an open plan. The people waiting can see everyone eating. As you can see in the picture that I took from where I was sitting. Maybe a partition would improve the lobby? Anyway, best place to eat PANCAKES for sure!! read more

Best pancakes in the world in my experience and promise I'm not over exaggerating . While the wait times can get a little crazy it is so worth it to get your hands on these cakes. Both the cinnamon roll and original are great and the portion is huuuge. read more

We came here on a weekend morning at 8 am. It is the only time I would come because by 9 am, the place was full and there were around 4-5 parties waiting to be seated. We didn't get coffee until we asked for it, though refills are free. My friend got to the chorizo scramble, hash browns, and a cheesecake pancake. I got the bacon and eggs plate with hash browns and a cinnamon roll pancake. Each of our plates with the drink and upgraded pancake came out to $30 or so. This makes this place one of the pricier brunch spots. Additionally, since it gets so busy, the service can be slow. We sat outside, which I'm glad we did, but the interior seating looked pretty cramped with no booths that I could tell. The vibe there was definitely casual. I think the Fresno location looks a little more like a diner. Due to the prices and the long waits, I don't come here often but their special pancakes are pretty good. read more

The dude , older niece and I came to Batter Up Pancakes in Clovis, Ca on 4/30/23. We were informed it would be an hour wait. I was hesitant about the wait since we had my niece but the dude was adamant that it would move quick. It took about 65 minutes. So I was right. Should have left and gone to Sandy's. We were seated and we got right to it since we had to wait for a long time. The dude got a P!nk Arnold Palmer. I ended up getting water and the niece got chocolate milk. We put in our drink order and was set to go! Staff was very friendly and nice. On the menu I ordered the chilaquiles which included avocado according to the menu (see pictures) which I don't like which I asked for it on the side. They ended up charging me for it , $1.99. I brought it up to the waitress and she informed me its not the menu and I pointed it out to her. PROOF!! There was no "let's take it off your tab" but rushing us. Saying it shouldn't be on the menu and she will let management know to take off the menu. Hmmmm sure. Highly disappointed on that . If I would have know it didn't come with it I would have never asked for it on the side. Disappointed on customer service. The dude wanted to leave a $10 tip but since they charged us unnecessary for something listed on THEIR menu without addressing it right ....that $1.99 is their tip. But my chilaquiles were good DEF too spicy. Even the dude agreed. I can't eat spicy food. So I was disappointed with that too. It was good though. Man if they notched the spice down it would be a solid dish. The niece liked her chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk so she enjoyed her meal. The dude was disappointed with his meal as he thought it came in omelette form. But it didn't . You can tell a lot by a place based off how good their biscuits and gravy are. The biscuits tasted stale and gravy tasted fake :( so gross. I had better at the Best Western. We were over it. It was surprising to see how low the salt shakers were. Not a good sign and they just opened but hey...I guess that's a good thing as the customer controls the salt intake not them! So if we make it salty it's not their fault. Probably won't be back. #AvacadoGATE read more

PANCAKE PERFECTION! Super fluffy, airy light, and humongous! The top and bottom are completely golden brown. Made from scratch the old-fashioned way with buttermilk. There is a blue cornmeal option as well. Speaking of perfect, the linguica - a spicy, garlicky Portuguese sausage pairs perfectly with eggs and potatoes or any of the breakfast starches. It is so juicy, zesty, and delicious. You will not always find it on the menu at many breakfast diners, but I will take it over bacon or sausage anytime as the meat of choice to accompany any egg dish. While there are many mouth-watering choices with pancakes - including apple cinnamon chip crunch, the Oreo, the Nina with chocolate chips, the S'more, and even a cheesecake version just to name a few, I prefer mine plain and simple except maybe on that rare occasion I want them with some blueberries and/or strawberries and whipped cream on top. This is also an option here. The Denver Omelet - with diced ham, green peppers, and onions - is another winner. The egg texture was bright yellow and smooth, and very fluffy. Batter Up Pancakes seem to take great pride in the quality and quantity of their dishes - whether it is the pancakes, the French toast, omelets, or breakfast burritos. You see a lot of dine-in guests request to go boxes before departing. I will always have leftovers when I dine here because of the heartiness of the dishes. The original location off of Cedar Avenue (and E. Ness Avenue) is a Fresno treasure and is widely known for serving the best pancakes in town. So, I was delighted to find out that a new location opened up here in Clovis just over a month ago. I hear their lunch menu is just as impressive. The service is fabulous: very friendly, helpful with suggestions, attentive, and fast. read more

For $85 for a basic breakfast wasn't worth it. No napkins or silverware on the table then served our food and had to walk up and ask for silverware. Potatoes weren't hot more of a lukewarm warm, toast was hard and cold and $5.00 for a soda?! And $10 for 2 coffees? Crazy work. Staff was friendly but definitely not attentive. I will shout out Luis who was awesome however he's not a server but he was working the HARDEST there for sure and was the most welcoming. Won't be returning based strictly on price. read more

BAAAATTTEERRRRR UP!!!!! Boy oh boy my sister and I were complaining that Fresno is so boring (forgive us Lord) but when we showed up to Batter tho!!!!! Changed the game for all my siblings and I. We ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches, coffee cake pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, Oreo pancakes, banana nut French toast, homemade chili and the biscuit with gravy!!! Everything was scrum-didly-umptious. It was all made from a kitchen that tasted like home The best part though was the people that served us. From the person that wiped our table when we decided to sit outside to the ones that gave our food and cleaned up afterwards. The soldiers that work at this location are so down-to-earth and sweet. Even though it was a chilly day the good food, rounds of hot cocoa and warm servers really gave our hearts a hug thank y'all!!! read more

I love batter up pancakes! Every time we have family in town we make sure to take them here. Everyone we have taken to batter up pancakes leaves, so impressed and satisfied. If you go during peak hours, which is usually on the weekend, you will have to wait for quite a while. But it is worth it! All the workers have always been very attentive. As far as ambience goes, it is typically a loud place and there's usually a lot going on. The cinnamon roll pancake is my absolute favorite. To be quite honest, all of the pancakes I've ever had here have been amazing even their original. The pancakes are fluffy and huge! I could never finish a single one on my own, and always have to share. Also, they have a couple of healthy items on their menu, which include a gluten and dairy free pancake, which is also amazing. I also highly suggest you try the coconut syrup to go on top of your pancakes. Another family favor is the Chile Verde omelette. Not only is a huge, but it is so flavorful! We also really enjoy ordering the freshly squeezed orange juice as it is very refreshing. read more

My friends and I LOVE batter up. The service is always quick and the food is delicious! This is a casual sit down restaurant with great options for breakfast and lunch. I have tried omelets from here, the breakfast sandwich, and the chilaquiles. Everything is always seasoned very well and most importantly comes in a huge portion which makes it a good bang for your buck. I've had a variety of pancakes as well and I must say the cinnamon roll pancake is THE must order. An honorable mention for their pancakes has to be the coffee cake pancake. Every pancake is very large and a great size for sharing. They literally cover an entire plate whether you get an order of pancakes or the pancake flight! I will definitely return very soon and I look forward to bringing more friends to try their yummy food! read more

Batter Up Pancakes - 3 egg pesto omelette and country potato's - Pancakes Near Me - Clovis, California

I have been coming to Batter Up for years. We live in Bakersfield about 2 hours away, and we have driven to Fresno countless times solely to come here for breakfast and it is always worth it! Our favorite item to order is the cinnamon roll pancakes, but I have truly never had anything I didn't like there and we have brought many friends and they all feel the same way. There can be quite a wait time especially at the Fresno location, but they have a Yelp waitlist available sometimes so that is great to make use of to lessen your wait but either way, the wait is worth it! The service is always phenomenal and ambiance is great for families but also for a brunch date with friends. Can't recommend it more and we will continue making the drive just for this! read more

I have eaten here many times because I love the food and especially the pesto omelet with mushrooms, spinach and avocado (The Cristina). I actually crave that omelet because it's so good. Well, there was hardly any pesto and veto little flavor whatsoever. I forced myself to eat it because I was hungry and on a time crunch. My son ordered a chocolate chip pancake as his one side. First off, the server didn't bother to mention that they add an extra cost for the chocolate chips. Secondly, when the pancake arrived, it looked like a regular pancake. There were no visible chips. So he lifted it up and lo and behold, all the chocolate chips were on the bottom side, melting onto the plate! I don't know who was cooking today, but the food was not up to par! We were quite disappointed! read more
