Been wanting to go here for a long time. Was looking for a breakfast spot in clovis that was pet & dog friendly . I arrived 25 mins before my wife and asked if I could sit on the patio and have coffee while I waited and they were more than happy to let me. My wife also got a pineapple mimosa and she loved it. They have mimosa flights too which me might try next visit. I had the Netflix and chilaquiles and my wife has the Kim chi breakfast rice . Both were so yummy . I appreciated that the chips never got soggy ... a little pricy but the flavor, presentation and customer service was all there. Was hoping for a bit more from Yolked Kitchen given the hype around this place, and overall it was a mixed bag. The chilaquiles had some issues, with a few chips soggy and a couple undercooked, which kind of takes away from the dish. That said, the toppings were generous and the salsa had good flavor, so there's clearly potential here, just needs better execution on texture. The French toast was a nicer experience, fluffy and satisfying, though a bit small for the price and pretty simple in flavor. Nothing that wowed me, but solid enough. Service was a bit slow, and even something as simple as a fountain drink refill took longer than it should have. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Overall, worth a try if you're curious since there are some good elements here, but it's not quite at go to brunch spot status for me yet. read more

Unfortunately the rice was undercooked (minus one star) with hard pieces throughout; I guess that's better than soggy rice but could be cooked a little longer. Lox schmear was good. Can't comment much since my friend got it and I didn't try it. She liked it. Yolked martini looked very pretty. The orange "yolk" is frozen orange juice that was frozen well. My friend was chipping at it and it took forever to melt. The Bloody Mary is a meal in itself with the bacon and olives and the size of the drink itself. Delish and strong; I was definitely buzzed when we left. Prices on the slightly pricy side. Decor is pretty and simple. Good amount of outdoor seating. Good place for a relaxing brunch but don't come here if you're in a rush since it does take a little while for the food to be cooked. read more

Went to brunch here early on a Saturday morning and to my surprise it was not too busy! The place is a little small but very clean and organized. Ana provided great service and was very knowledgeable on the menu. The food is classic American breakfast with the exception of the chilaquiles which are of Mexican origin but surprisingly they were the favorite dish that day. Yoked was just alright overall. We came during Mother's Day weekend, and they were offering a limited menu, which honestly wasn't very impressive and didn't offer much variety for breakfast. I ordered the chilaquiles, and unfortunately it was mostly tortilla chips with very little egg mixed in. Underneath were refried beans, but the dish felt overwhelmingly like a pile of chips rather than an actual balanced breakfast. It just wasn't very good, and we ended up sending it back. My husband reordered pancakes instead, which came out quickly and tasted much better. However, while he was still eating, the waiter tried to take his plate before he was finished, which felt rushed and awkward. The menu overall also felt overpriced for the quality and selection offered. It honestly seemed like there were more alcoholic drink options than breakfast choices. We really wanted to like this place, but between the limited menu, disappointing food, and service issues, we probably won't be returning. read more

2nd time eating here. Friday brunch with mom and sister. Neither of them has been here so I was happy to share a new spot with them. Started with a hot cup of Americano with cream. Sister enjoyed decaf Americano. The size of the coffee cups and the little plate and silver container the cream came in with a spoon on the plate, all perfection! Started with the fruit plate: grapefruit in the middle with a yummy glaze, fresh berries, and kiwi too. So delightful and plenty for three. Then we ordered: fluffy pancakes for sister, kimchi rice for mom, and biscuits and gravy for me. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we of course needed TO GO boxes. Generous portions. I did ask for additional gravy which came right out, hot, and no extra charge. We never felt rushed and were able to actually sit and enjoy our time together. We visited Yolked Kitchen and it was definitely busier than I'm used to, but we called ahead and didn't have to wait long at all. We were seated right away, which was a huge plus. The Korean fried rice is still my absolute favorite dish there--so flavorful every time. My daughter tried the pancakes, which were a little underwhelming, and I think they would've been better paired with some protein. She's now convinced she needs to order the Korean fried rice next time too! The staff was nice and attentive, and the restaurant always has such a bright, cheery atmosphere. Tried Yolked Kitchen recently and it's a cute, casual breakfast spot with a really welcoming vibe. It feels like the kind of place you can linger a bit, especially if you're catching up with friends. They also have a nice outdoor patio that's perfect for groups, which makes it an easy pick for a relaxed weekend brunch. We walked in on a Saturday 11AM without reservation and got seated right away. We ordered the All American Plate with bacon and scrambled eggs, plus the Tri--Tip with sunny side up eggs. It took around 15 minutes from when we ordered to when we got our food. The tri-tip was cooked to medium and I did find myself wishing it had a bit more seasoning to really make it stand out. That said, the crispy potatoes were a highlight, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of salt and crunch. Went to breakfast with my son, we were sat very promptly. Love the atmosphere, very trendy, very spacious and not too noisy. I ordered regular coffee, which I don't think I would order it again. It wasn't great. For food we ordered the Christmas burrito. It Was massive definitely split for two. It tasted amazing, I enjoyed being able to try the red and the green sauce. I think the red sauce was better. My son preferred the green, so it was perfect to split. I would definitely go again to try more items. It is a nonalcoholic drink with blood orange, lemon, simple syrup and ginger ale. It was refreshing and delicious, just too small for the price of $10. The pancakes were huge, fluffy and delicious. The syrup was like sugar water. I decided to pay extra and get the Whistling Pig whisky syrup. That was delicious. If I had known, I would not have wasted the taste and calories by pouring the other junk on first. Definitely pay and order the better syrup! My honey had the other meal. We came a year later and the second experience definitely didn't match the first. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but our food took a VERY long time to come out. It was hot and fresh but we waited almost an hour just to receive it. As appealing as each dish looked, taste didn't match it. Sad that both of our items weren't as flavorful as they looked to be. The Bloody Mary was honestly the best part about this visit! Made me pretty sad because our first experience the food was amazing!! I know this business is constantly busy but maybe take a small step back and put more into it like you guys did when it first opened. Service was ok, nothing to rave about. But staff was nice. We were seated in the back booth area, and order pancakes, kimchi fried rice and the Chilequiles. I Would unfortunately not recommend the Chilequiles. It was pretty cold and lacked flavor honestly. But that kimchi fried rice!? Best item on the menu hands down. Pancakes were yummy. This was my first time trying The Yolked Kitchen, and it was pretty good. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant and fresh. The food was flavorful and enjoyable. My only complaint and this was my fault for not reading the menu carefully was that the chilaquiles didn't come with meat like I'm used to, but there was nothing wrong with them. The cappuccino and the Yolked house coffee were also very good. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, I'd definitely recommend this place. We got the Christmas burrito and the chilaquiles . To be honest I wasn't that amazed at either dish . The Christmas burrito was kind of dry and not very tasty . I enjoyed my experience here at Yolked. Fast and friendly service. Exceptional drink offerings! Wasn't expecting that. I opted for an og mimosa to be safe and it was balanced and good quality. This is the same people that brought the upscale charm of 13 Prime Steak and has now flipped the script on breakfast and lunch. Although I have yet to try 13 prime, I have heard great things about it. I got the slammin salmon which is like a lox -type dish on toasted bread. It was fresh and delicious! Definitely a more elevated version. I liked the red pickled onion and capers and cream. It was not overly salty which would be a concern of mine. My dining partner ordered the Christmas burrito and enjoyed both sides of it. Bathrooms were very clean and the patio is a good size here. Big bar in the middle of the establishment with some good sized booths. I would love to come back soon and try more drinks and dishes. read more

It's really hard to find a good burrito in Clovis. I'm from San Francisco so I grew up with El Faro, Quadalajara, La Taqueria, etc. Mission style burritos is what I grew up with. So after months of looking I kinda gave up and decided that I won't find a burrito I enjoy here. Then one day I wanted a breakfast burrito and this place popped up on Yelp. So I said sure why not. I went here and saw the Christmas Burrito and was like wtf is that. Lemme try lol. Ok it's not a mission style Burrito by any means. It's a whole different beast. It's amazing. I didn't know I needed country potatoes and braised pork in a wet burrito topped with an egg. I just didn't know I needed it until I did. Kinda like a 401k. At a point in my life I just knew I had to have it and now it's just a thing I give money to. However. I must say the first time versus the second time the burritos were a little different so the consistency threw me off. Not sure if there are multiple chefs or the prep is different but the meat tenderness changed a lot the second time. Still good but it was noticeably less tender. The Chillaquilles I did not care for at all. The staff was kind and efficient. The restaurant has a nice vibe to it. It looks like a good place to have a drink with friends. I need to try the Christmas burrito one more time to see how the consistency is. The first one had me telling my friends back home how happy I was to find a burrito. I'm a big fan of their kimchi fried rice (unexpected menu item for a place like this), but on my last visit, we felt like it was a little too salty for our likings. Side of bacon was delicious- lol impossible to go wrong. My party of three wasn't greeted properly--i wasn't offered a drink menu at the bar while I waited for my party and was only given water, then mostly ignored. It felt like we were being treated differently while others around us were getting full service. Refills were also very slow. I'd consider going back for the food, but I'd hope for a much better experience next time. I even paid for the full party of 3 and left a generous tip so hopefully next time I'd be treated better. It did take a bit for our server to come by, but once she did, she was super friendly and attentive the rest of the time. We also tried a couple of drinks--the "All the Works" Bloody Mary and the Tickled Pink. The Tickled Pink was just okay for me, but my mom enjoyed her Bloody Mary. The vibe inside is really cute--lots of fun, egg-themed decor. They've got a full service bar and an outdoor patio, too.
