Left to Right: Tri Tip with Sunny Side up eggs; All American Plate with bacon and scrambled eggs
Michelle C.

Tried Yolked Kitchen recently and it's a cute, casual breakfast spot with a really welcoming vibe. It feels like the kind of place you can linger a bit, especially if you're catching up with friends. They also have a nice outdoor patio that's perfect for groups, which makes it an easy pick for a relaxed weekend brunch. We walked in on a Saturday 11AM without reservation and got seated right away. We ordered the All American Plate with bacon and scrambled eggs, plus the Tri--Tip with sunny side up eggs. It took around 15 minutes from when we ordered to when we got our food. The tri-tip was cooked to medium and I did find myself wishing it had a bit more seasoning to really make it stand out. That said, the crispy potatoes were a highlight, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of salt and crunch. Overall, it's a solid breakfast spot that's great for casual meetups or group brunch plans.

Yolked Kitchen has a really creative menu and some unique dishes you don't see at most breakfast spots. The ambiance is nice, the space is welcoming, and the food itself was good once it finally arrived. The issue for us was the wait. Service was extremely slow--from getting seated to being served to actually receiving our food. We ended up sitting there for about an hour waiting for breakfast, and it wasn't just our table. It seemed like everyone around us was waiting a long time as well. Another downside was the price. For a simple breakfast for my husband, my two kids, and me, the total came out to over $100 after tax and tip. That's significantly more expensive than most breakfast places in the area. Overall, the food and atmosphere were good, but the long wait times and high prices made the experience frustrating. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere I'd return to.

We came here already twice, the atmosphere and food were good. Stuff is friendly and easy to communicate with. The outside seating area is so nice during this spring months. The food was good but for the type of food it's a bit pricey to be honest. The menu items that we tried were standard nothing that would stand out. For comparison for the same price if you go to Yava or similar lunch restaurant you would get more interesting food that what exist in this restaurant, though again as a standard lunch spot we will come back again.

The menu varies which is nice, pricing wasn't terrible but I don't think I'll be back. Imo the chilaquiles were ok. The green sauce lacked flavor and the chips didn't get soft enough for the salsa to soak in. It's a large portion and eggs were cooked well. Drinks are good, varying from $14-20 depending. The service was good, for 1 drink, 1espresso, and dish it was $51 after tip.

I took my Mom out for brunch and we enjoyed this restaurant! Very friendly staff, we were seated quickly and the food was absolutely delicious. We both ended up ordering the "She's Crafty" and another guest even stopped to ask what we ordered because it looked so good. I can see why this place was so busy, it's a great environment with delicious food. I would absolutely try this place again!

We came a year later and the second experience definitely didn't match the first. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but our food took a VERY long time to come out. It was hot and fresh but we waited almost an hour just to receive it. As appealing as each dish looked, taste didn't match it. Sad that both of our items weren't as flavorful as they looked to be. The Bloody Mary was honestly the best part about this visit! Made me pretty sad because our first experience the food was amazing!! I know this business is constantly busy but maybe take a small step back and put more into it like you guys did when it first opened. This isn't a deal breaker for us, but I would love to see the same effort put in as you did when you first opened up.

The service was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Plenty of choices on the menu. I picked the Fake it Till You Make it drink. It is a nonalcoholic drink with blood orange, lemon, simple syrup and ginger ale. It was refreshing and delicious, just too small for the price of $10. The pancakes were huge, fluffy and delicious. The syrup was like sugar water. I decided to pay extra and get the Whistling Pig whisky syrup. That was delicious. If I had known, I would not have wasted the taste and calories by pouring the other junk on first. Definitely pay and order the better syrup! My honey had the other meal. The sausage was very flavorful. He liked the biscuits and gravy. The eggs were well cooked. I will be going back to try some of their other items.

Chilequiles - 3/10

First time visiting and was excited to dive into the menu. I didn't look up the menu prior to our visit so when we look it over it was a smaller menu. I'm a pescatarian so the few options were good. Service was ok, nothing to rave about. But staff was nice. We were seated in the back booth area, and order pancakes, kimchi fried rice and the Chilequiles. I Would unfortunately not recommend the Chilequiles. It was pretty cold and lacked flavor honestly. But that kimchi fried rice!? Best item on the menu hands down. Pancakes were yummy. A crispy outer and soft/moist center. I'd probably just come for the rice again but take it to go. Try it for yourself!

Cute breakfast place. Everything is so pretty and well put together there. Great for pictures and small groups for brunch. My friend and I sat at the bar and got the best service. Food was real good and fresh.

Tri-Tip and eggs. I'm sad they don't offer hashbrowns but when I tell you these potatoes were so effing good!!

The food was really good and the drinks were okay, but the service at the bar was disappointing. My party of three wasn't greeted properly--i wasn't offered a drink menu at the bar while I waited for my party and was only given water, then mostly ignored. It felt like we were being treated differently while others around us were getting full service. Refills were also very slow. I'd consider going back for the food, but I'd hope for a much better experience next time. I even paid for the full party of 3 and left a generous tip so hopefully next time I'd be treated better. Sad that I have to do that. Area is nice, nice location.

This was my first time trying The Yolked Kitchen, and it was pretty good. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant and fresh. The food was flavorful and enjoyable. My only complaint and this was my fault for not reading the menu carefully was that the chilaquiles didn't come with meat like I'm used to, but there was nothing wrong with them. The cappuccino and the Yolked house coffee were also very good. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, I'd definitely recommend this place. Just try to go a little early because it does get packed.

I love coming here, and I love how they change up the cocktail menu. We went during December and had great food and service.

Food tasted amazing, wonderful service & nice ambiance. Loco moco was so good! B&G, biscuits & gravy was amazing. I got the Yolked Mimosa. Different but I love the running theme lol.

I love their breakfast taco. Grandkids love the pancakes. Great place for breakfast. They think out of the box and the food is delicious.

Parking is exactly what you'd expect for downtown, so just make sure you lock your car and don't leave anything visible. We went around 5 PM on a Thursday. It started fairly quiet and gradually got busier throughout the evening, but it never felt overcrowded. They do have a rule that if there's a waitlist, your time may be limited to about two hours so they can seat other guests, which is reasonable for a place like this. The drinks were fantastic. I honestly didn't have a bad drink all night. They offer cold drinks, room temperature drinks, hot drinks, and just about every type of spirit you can think of. The cocktails are very creative, and the bartenders will actually warn you ahead of time if a drink has flavors they think you might not like, which I appreciated. The bartenders were excellent and really knew what they were doing. We had a spicy margarita, mojito, whiskey smash, an ube cocktail, and a few others, and all of them were great. Prices were fair for the quality, creativity, and overall experience. Not cheap, but definitely not overpriced either. One thing I really respected was that they had Narcan and fentanyl test strips available on-site. You don't see that often, and it shows they actually care about people's safety. If you're looking for craft cocktails in Fresno, this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back.

As a vegetarian I miss kung pow chicken. And they were able to make Kung pow tofu for me. Which is probably the best hospitality ever!! They just had to check with the chef and it was a GO! The compound tofu was very flavorful. It wasn't mushy. The tofu was firm and all the seasonings paired well with it. The dude enjoyed his meal with the steak and purple rice. The rice was pretty good. I did not try the steak as I'm not vegetarian. But he really enjoyed it as it was butterfly pea rice. Our cocktails were delicious. Balanced not too sweet. It hit the spot. We were very impressed with this place and really enjoyed our time here all the flavors popped in every dish we had was delicious even the appetizer of the spring rolls. My only wish is that it came with a few more bites because it was that good. Overall, the menu leans a bit outside of the traditional Thai flavors I'm used to, which made the experience interesting and different. The space itself is beautiful and makes it a great spot for a dinner date or a night out. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. I'm already eyeing the drink menu for next time Overall, it was a great experience and everything was beautifully plated. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu--especially dishes with bolder, more pronounced flavors.

We had no idea what to expect, but it ended up being such a fun night. There were five of us in our bay, and from the start the staff was super attentive. Since it was our first visit, they walked us through how everything worked and made sure we were comfortable using the system. We had a couple small hiccups figuring things out, but every time someone came by, they checked in, helped us out, and made sure we were good. The bay system itself is really cool lots of sensors and very interactive. That first swing is a little intimidating because you're not sure how hard to hit or where the ball will go, but once you realize you can swing freely and the system tracks everything, it's actually a blast. We ordered food, and honestly, sometimes bar-style places are hit or miss with food but not here. Everything was really good. We ordered sliders, onion rings, bruschetta, and it all came out hot and tasty. My daughter also ordered about three or four Shirley Temples and everyone kept checking in on refills and food. We had the bay for an hour we did not know what to expect but we could have booked it for more time! During our hour were given a heads-up when we had about 10 minutes left, which we appreciated. We actually went a little over while waiting for help moving our food to the dine-in area, and they were very kind about it no rushing us at all. After the bay, we moved to the dine-in area, finished eating, and chatted with our server, who was incredibly friendly and genuinely excited about the place. He explained memberships, told us about the upstairs lounge, and even allowed us to glance around. The upstairs area overlooks the bays and bar and would be great for events or just hanging out it's a really nice setup. The space itself is deceiving from the outside. It looks small, but once you're inside, it's very spacious with deep bays and plenty of room. Noise level was perfect not too loud, music was at a great volume, and we could easily talk, order food, and enjoy the experience. They also host games and fights, with TVs at the bar. As we were leaving, the kids tried the putting area, which was another fun surprise. It has laser-style visuals that show where your ball is going, and they loved it. We probably spent another 10 minutes there just letting them enjoy it. Overall, from the games to the food to the service, everything was excellent. We left with leftovers, happy kids, and a great experience. It's been a long time since we've had service this attentive, and we truly appreciated it. We'll definitely be back. Additionally the decor and vibe is really nice inside! Classy upscale location.
