Fresno has alot of bars a lot! So when you are looking for something different and little more quaint you have Bespoke. They cater to your drink taste and will make a cocktail based off of it. So I ended up with a cocktail that had a similarity to a whiskey sour. Was good well mixed and balanced. If you go during a show or event you'll pay an artist fee so keep that in mind. Also you'll have to book in advance to get a seat. The level of creativity that went into the menu as well as the craft of the drink was like witnessing an artist paint a masterpiece. Awesome, personalized experience! We made a reservation by calling in a couple hours ahead of time and came in on a Sunday evening. The bar has moody, dim lighting and the interior design is very much a speakeasy vibe. There's bar seating available, as well as some cozy tables throughout the bar. The bathrooms were also very clean and elegant. When you get in, the team will check you in and seat you. They'll also give you a menu with their set menu of cocktails, their wine list, and their beer selection. The best and most interesting thing about this bar is that you have the option to create your own custom drink. The bartender will give you a couple minutes to check out the menu before coming over to take your order. If you choose to customize your own drink, you can talk it out with the bartender and discuss things like your spirit of choice and the flavor profile that you'd like to try. It makes for a pretty cool and intimate experience, and our group had two separate rounds of customized drinks. The bartenders here are top-class and SO knowledgeable about their craft. Not only are they super knowledgeable, they're also just very pleasant and awesome people. Our bartender was Neill and my group absolutely enjoyed his service. My partner and I decided to try Bespoke for a second time after visiting them for the first time in July during their soft opening. I was really hoping for a better experience this time around than the last time, but unfortunately, I have to give them the same two-stars that I did last time. Here's why: There were definitely some positives about our visit. The first was that making a reservation was really easy, as was checking in with the host and getting seated. Also, we really like the overall ambiance of the lounge; it's very well appointed, homey, and great for conversation. Our first negative portion of our experience came after we were seated. It took about 35 minutes for our server to introduce themselves and to take our order after we sat down. Then, after we ordered once, our server came back 10 minutes later to tell us that they had forgotten our order and we needed to give it again. So, in total, it took 45 minutes after we first sat down for our order to be placed. Not good. We did get our drinks somewhat quickly after ordering. My partner's drink, which was a mocktail, was great; she said it was exactly what she wanted. My drink, however, was just so/so. I feel like there wasn't really anything special about it, and it didn't really taste "Christmassy," which is what I asked for. We only saw our server again once more after we got our drinks; they came back after a few minutes to check on us, which was good, but then completely disappeared. Even though I thought my drink was just ok, my partner enjoyed her drink so much that we planned to order a second round. However, after another 20 minutes with no server, we decided to call it a night. My partner went up to the bar to ask for our check, and one of the bartenders brought it to us and asked how everything was. When I remarked that we had service had been pretty slow, they only replied "well, tis the season," which did not seem very understanding nor caring (especially since about 1/4 of the seats in the bar were empty). After discussing our evening, we concluded that Bespoke had definitely fallen short of their mission, especially on service, and that the value just wasn't there for the prices they charge. read more

So I'm the kind of person that loves to get input from restaurant/bar staff about what I should order and often like to say "surprise me!" so the fact that this place is built around the premise of crafting cocktails that are tailor made to you based on a conversation about what you like/don't like is my ideal! I've been here several times and love to bring friends here from our of town and every time they're blown away by the top tier service and incredible drinks that are unlike any other! Each one is unique, individualized, and beautiful. I even had a friend order pure classics just to see how they'd handle a simple order and he was blown away by the fact that they were the best version of the basics he'd ever had. They also start you off with a, complimentary amuse-bouche so you have something to sip on while your order is, being taken/made. I love that there is no rush and no fighting for seats, and you get to just settle in and get this bespoke experience. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and has plenty of comfortable seating options. The bartenders do a great job of managing several custom drinks, being creative and intuitive based on quick assessments of the customers, and also being engaging with patrons. Bespoke blew my mind, yet again. It gets a little chilly in here sometimes so I would suggest a light jacket if you can! I called and made a bar reservation just in case it was crowded. Keep in mind that they will need your card information because there's a $15 charge for not showing up if you've reserved a spot. Once you're inside, you *kinda* have a time limit of two hours (if it's busy) which is actually plenty of time to enjoy the experience. Upon entry, you are asked if you have any allergies (make sure to mention if you have a nut allergy) and are promptly seated. Bathrooms are straight towards the back. They have a small menu of finger foods/desserts if you're not looking for just drinks. My boyfriend and I were a little hesitant to sit at the bar, but I actually enjoyed it much much more than sitting at a table like last time. I really love how each visit comes with the complimentary little drinks that you are given beforehand. Our bartender Owen asked us a bunch of questions to make sure that he got our two rounds of personalized drinks just right-- and he did! He gave us suggestions, incorporated our preferences, and gave us detailed explanations of the drinks once he had made them. The staff were pretty friendly, service was attentive, cocktails were delicious. But I think they might've done away with their concept because like others have mentioned, they didn't really question us on our likes and dislikes. They just asked us what we wanted to drink and we had to coax out of them the whole unique curation thing. But that was fine. They do have a limited menu of snack snacks which is always welcomed. The only negative was there was a rather large crowd that was loud that they set us right next to, so it was difficult for us to have a conversation over that group. If I had any suggestions to the establishment, it would be to separate out the larger crowds from the smaller groups just so those conversation challenges don't happen. I made reservations for 6 when I heard about this new bar. We arrived a little late but they gladly still sat us. Upon opening the first door you enter a small entry way and are greeted by a hostess. She informed us that it was still their soft opening and gladly accepted feedback at the end of our two hour minimum reservation. You then go through another door which opened into the speakeasy style bar. It was dark lighting with soft music playing. There is bar seating and individual grouped seating. I was surprised that it was almost empty but I think they just opened. Sadly we had two friends drop out last minute but we were still seated in a large couch with ample surrounding seating. We were greeted with "welcome drinks" in different small sample style cocktail glasses. The welcome drinks were fruity and more of my style (aka fruity easy to drink girl style) the guys in the group drank them but they are more of bitter drinkers. At the time of this review this is a bartender choose their own adventure style of place. We each gave the waiter our preference in alcohol, flavors, and our favorite drinks to drink. From there the bartender picks their own drinks to make for you. My first drink was a gin alcohol style drink. It tasted like trix. For me it was a great first drink but too fruity. My second drink was rum and was less sweet and more sour. I liked the second drink better. For everyone else at our table they got Smokey old fashion, mules, Champagne, and espresso martini spin off. The think that will most surprise people here is their price. Average drink price is $18 which is steep but you are playing for the bartenders expertise in mixology. I will never get over the complementary drink that was served when I had gone( it was a black tea lemonade with bourbon), I am not a bourbon gal, but this drink did not disappoint! By far the coolest bar in Fresno! They just had their grand opening a week ago after testing out during their soft opening for months. To find beespoke, it's next to the modernist but you will not see a sign outside. It's a blue door with a small plaque saying beespoke. The inside has a moody aesthetic vibe with a sophisticated touch. The staff told us we had the sexy seats which were 2 chairs across from each other with a couch in the middle facing the electrical fireplace. You can sit at the bar as well but it all depends what you put down on your reservation. The drinks were phenomenal. They create a drink by an inspo you give them (what's your go-to drink, fav spirits, are you sweet/sour, and what flavors do you like). The staff was great!
