Loved this cool hangout in Clovis! Such a great vibe, everyone was very nice--both the employees and patrons. They have a pool table, darts, jukebox type music, and apparently, even karaoke on specific nights. I was designated driver, so I only had diet cokes, but my crew enjoyed the drinks. Important to note...the entrance to this place was in the back. If you follow google maps, you'll assume it's closed (like we did). I will admit being African American I was a bit skeptical coming here, I was the only African American person there. But I felt very comfortable not just with my friends, but the people there were cool and down to earth! The bartender made an amazing White Gummy Bear Shot!! The music this night was a live rock/heavy metal type band - so not my genre. I would preferred some R&B or even Country music! The highlight of this was the TACO TRUCK OUTSIDE!!!! Omg! I have been coming here weekly for the last 1.5 months. The drink prices changed with a bartender named Nikki. I was getting charged $5 for a corona bottle from (2) other bartenders. I typed paragraphs with my experience and erased most of it and I'll cut to the chase. I sat there politely minding my business and ordering drinks. When closing time, I was handed my printed receipt to sign. I signed it promptly (tipped atleast 30%) and stood up And headed towards the restroom. I was stopped by a gentleman (security/bouncer) who said I couldn't use them. I was disappointed and frustrated. I no sooner turned around and they are letting another person have a pass to the restroom! I asked the bartender about it and she informs I asked the wrong person. After that I got the "pass" to use the restroom. Remind you there were plenty of people still drinking their drinks. I'm not a fan of mixed signals. If there are rules then are Rules. Ms. Debbie I hope this isn't the environment you instill and encourage jn your organization. I'm the same person that said I don't leave reviews in a dive bar but this was so petty not being able to use the restroom when the place was still half full I think it's important to share. I was double charged the night of the Super Bowl (Sunday, Feb 14) and it now seems it was done intentionally with the way the bar has handled the issue. Towards the end of the night, I received my tab and my card back, then decided to pay it in cash rather than charging it to my card. This is something very common for any bar you go to. However, when I woke up the next morning (Monday, Feb 15), I received a notification stating that my card had been charged for my already paid in cash tab. I went in that day (Monday, Feb 15) and left my info for the owner and bartender from that night (Sarah) to contact me and get things squared away. Unfortunately I was never contacted. I've stopped by the bar three separate times now and nothing has come out of it. At this point it is clear they're just blowing me off and sweeping my issue under the rug. It's as simple as checking the video from the date and time I was there to see that I paid with cash front and center at the bar, I gave a twenty, a ten and three one dollar bills on a $29 tab. Since the incident, I have mentioned it to some friends who have frequented this bar more than I and they say that getting double charged is very common at this establishment. I wish I had known that before I ever spent a dollar here. There are plenty of other bars nearby that have honest owners and bartenders. I'd go to any of them before goin to Outlaw. read more

Came here last night and Ezekiel was our bartender. He was so unprofessional and making jokes about fentanyl and we called him out on it because it hit home. He was rude about it and "kicked us out". First time in this place..... and it was very entertaining. I drank way too much of course, and I'm glad I didn't puke in my Uber. Everybody was friendly, and that's not what I expected. Being from the mountains, I am used to either a fight or two, or some kind of strange altercation type drama situation every time I go to a bar. This was not like that at all. Its a fun place with cheap beer. Pros: -Dancing!!! Its hard to find a place where you can actually dance and not be smooshed up next to everyone else dancing -Live band. That's always fun...can't say if they will be mind blowing, but anyone able to play an instrument is talented...right?! -There is a canister of ice chilled water right by the bouncer...it was pretty handy and delicious -The crowd. Sooo... my boyfriend and I stood out like a sore thumb. Here comes two asians, one in a collar shirt and a golf hat, the other in heel boots and an girly dress. Everyone was blonde, in denim, baseball caps, and leather jackets. I had mixed feelings prior to going, but soo glad we did. Didn't get weird looks- which was what I was worried about. It was a cool bar. Love the live music! If I was buzz enough, I would've joined the line dance that was going on. The minute we walked in, the bartender was nice and inviting. She always checked up on us for drinks too. (Dk if she may have been the owner or not, but she was the only one bartending). Mixed drinks are not as strong, but still yummy. Everyone was drinking beer. We went around 8pm, didn't have to pay a cover charge. After reading reviews, I had my cash ready but I guess we got lucky walking in early... maybe? No problem- SWEET! Overall I enjoyed the bar. I had a good time, wish we stayed longer. It didn't start getting a good crowd until 10pm. I just moved to the Central Valley from SD, and I have been searching for some good bars to go to.... I'm definitely adding Outlaw Tavern to my list. read more
