Ciara is a gem! She took care of my party and ensured our drinks were always full! I love the Hazy IPA that they had at the time. It was full of flavor and not too hoppy. They don't have food but I did see some people bring their own. I don't know what the rules are. I know you can bring your dog and there is an outside area to sit as well. This brewery is much quieter than the others that are around but it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great conversation with your party and enjoy the beer. They always switch up their variety of drinks. So far so good! I will keep coming back! read more

Came here for a graduation party and it made an awesome first impression. The outside is massive, tons of seating and kid friendly. Nice outdoor decor without being over the top or pretentious-just nice to sit in and feels like there was a little more thought put into the patio. Inside looks cool, vibey, tons of seating, and LOVE the barn aesthetic with the steel brewery components. I love coming to Machine Head! They have a large menu of beers on tap and very friendly servers. The building is very clean and they have different seating options. You can sit inside at large tables or on a bar style area. Outside, they have picnic benches with shade and misters. They have board games to play. They do not have any TVs, which I appreciate. It's a fun place to unwind and connect with people. It is family friendly as our two toddlers are always welcomed. read more

The dude and I came to MachineHead Brewing on 5/22/21 for the Clovis Brew Fest which was our first stop. It was such a hot day too so we were looking forward to trying this place out. Upon arrival the line was out the door! But definitely waitable! Inside no one was wearing masks which is no surprise as we are in the heart of Clovis. The dude and I were the only ones wearing our face masks. The line kept growing behind us more and more and we were happy we entered the line when we did! Anywho, I am programmed to have my ID ready as but didn't get carded at all nor the dude. The crowd here was a mixture of youngsters to older adults which was nice to see. The place was filling up quick so the dude and I snagged a large table which may be selfish for us but we made sure another party had room on the other side to sit so we didn't feel as bad. I ended up getting the Mr. Tangerine Man while the dude got Hazed and Confused. Mr. T was delicious sweet and tasty definitely enjoyed it very much! I wasn't really a fan of the dudes drink was very bitter. Staff was very friendly too and we probably stayed there for an hour sipping our drinks, chatting and enjoying the Princess music and vibes here. I believe they are pet friendly as a lot of peeps brought their poochs! They have an outdoor patio which was beautiful! By our surprise there were so many kids here and adorbs babies (no judgement here) we just were not expecting that at all! I guess this place is family friendly or maybe just the overall Brew Fest who knows so you can totally bring the kids. We totally enjoyed our time here and love how close this place is to us! We will be coming back wish they just stayed open later during the weekday for us 8am to 5ers. If you haven't tried this gem you won't be disappointed at all something for everyone to enjoy. Every beer is delicious. You definitely can't go wrong with any Machinehead beer. My server was Stephanie. She is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about beer and hop varieties. Thought I had written a review for Machinehead already but that might have been on Google Maps when I attended for their grand opening celebration. Either way, I have been a fan since the first sip. They came out guns blazing, and have not slowed down since. An unofficial motto of this brewery appears to be: Quality over quantity. They don't cut corners when crafting their beers, so although some offering are on the pricier side of beers/crowlers, you will taste the difference. Thankfully they designed the brewery with a lot of outdoor seating so they were able to still seat and serve people when it was allowed during all the rule switching from the state. There to-go orders I'm sure helped them continue to thrive during fprced closures. I always keep an eye on their Instagram account because they share all the new beer releases on their page. Some small batch sours are not available for crowler fills, but a majority of their beers are available for fills and to-go orders. I was looking for a place I hadn't been to yet so my friend told me about Machinehead Brewing. It was tucked away off of Herndon. It's very cute and decent in size. The patio has plenty of seating with heaters and a couple tables with fire pits. The bar tender was very helpful in finding a beer the suits your taste. If you're not sure of what you want you can sample something first. I enjoyed the beer I chose with nice weather and good company. They also sell some pretty decent merch. Surprised I haven't left Machinehead a review yet -great time every time I visit. Most recent visit was the first Saturday in May 22 during the Tacos-Taps_Trolley trail in Clovis. Great outdoor/indoor beer garden/patio. So many tables, chairs, seating areas , among their trees and misters and shaded outdoor space. Love the clean design aesthetic of their bar area. Stopped in for the first time this last Sunday Funday. Was pleased to find a lot of good sours. As a long time sour lover, I'm really enjoying their recent trendiness. The spouse and I stayed for 2 beers each, and lot of good conversation. The prices are average. Not a good deal, but not a bad deal either. The beertender was friendly and the atmosphere was chill. We almost left without trying anything upon discovering they don't have any AC but the place was fairly empty at 2pm so we were able to sit right in front of one of the mobile AC machines they had throughout the place. It messed up my hair but it was better than being hot. I definitely think we'll avoid this place from April to September, but the winter months should make this place incredibly inviting. read more

My BIL came into town and wanted to check out some new spots that have opened up since he re-located and I brought him here. It was a sunny afternoon, not too busy, we got our drinks and sat outside in their patio area and it was super nice. Very spacious, the beer was good, we all like IPA's and they had a very smooth beer to enjoy. It is a bit hidden, we saw the sign on the main street, but it would be nice to maybe have another one half way through the drive in on the side street to know you are going in the right direction, I drove slow since I didn't know where I was going. What a great little beer garden. You can bring outside food and drink and make it into a picnic. I even saw people getting food delivered. Sounds like sometimes they have a food truck but it's not guaranteed (we're here on a Sunday and no food truck) so better off bringing a picnic. Printed menu for the week! Best craft beer in the Fresno/Clovis region. Why these guys are ranked below others on Yelp's top 10 is beyond belief. If you like gimmick's--like music, games, sports, dancing etc.--go to other places in Clovis and Fresno for mediocre beer. No other place in Clovis comes close. Pendragon lost their spot, so they are out of the picture for now. They would be #2 in Clovis. Procreations followed by Tioga are the #1 and #2 in Fresno. That's pretty much it. This is a great place! The actual setup is really cool. It's spacious with an outdoor area that has bench seating, tables and seats around a couple fire pits as well as heaters available (in writing this in the winter). There was a pizza vendor but no actual food they serve. It's also kid friendly and dog friendly too. We brought our 2 year old soon who just walked around checking out the dogs in the outdoor area which is partly enclosed from the street. The beers are great too! I'm a hazy IPA fan which they have several as well as your other typical beers. For IPAs they have ones with different ABV, I'd recommend the Rhyme to Rhythm or Electrified Hazyland. They also do crowlers and 4 packs to go if certain ones. The only reason I'd give them 4/5 is they were out of like 4 beers on their tap list on a Saturday. But I understand that can happen. Will definitely go back! And highly recommend checking out. read more

This location is near the Clovis trail so you can bike or walk here. It's a bit hard to see from the street due to the entrance being a side entrance but inside, it's super cute. They have a nice clean airy space that's very pet and kid-friendly. It's strictly a brewery. There was almost no non-alcoholic options except for some canned soda. I think being that it seems to always have families with kids when I've gone, it might make sense to have one non-alcoholic option beyond a few cans of soda. Since a lot of their beers have fruit flavors, a glass of fresh fruit juice on tap might be a nice non-alcoholic offering. That said, knowing that they don't offer anything but beer, you can bring your own food and drinks inside. I went with a coffee and was glad I did. If you are into simple breweries with local beer, this might be a place for you. It's clean, bright, airy, and less crowded than other nearby breweries since it's a little more off the brewery path in an industrial area of Clovis near the cemetery. read more

So Fellow Yelpers thank you for reviewing this place and leading me here. Any place that has 4.5 stars is worth looking into. They have really good beers. I like sours and tried 2 both were really good. My wife had a Hazy and she really enjoyed it. The location is in an industrial part of Clovis. Large area both inside and out. Plenty of seating area. So why the 4 stars. Well as mentioned by other Yelpers they do not do tasters of their beers. Nor do they do flights. Luckily all 3 beers we ordered were good. However it would be nice if I could get a taster or a flight so I can decide which of your tasty beers I like best without rolling the dice and hoping for the best. But to be honest this won't stop me from coming back. Plus they said they have rotating beers so gotta come back and see what they have next time. read more

Big fan of this brewery and extremely grateful it opened up off the Clovis trail in Clovis. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a year now and we love everything about this place. It's just off the Clovis trail and is a fun place to stop off at while you're on a bike ride. They normally have a fun food option whenever you're there. Staff is extremely friendly. Nate is great and extremely experienced, and the other weekend gal (I'm forgetting her name), remembered us on our next visit from a couple minute conversation a few weeks before. It's a nice quiet environment to grab excellent beer. Most other places you go to are loud and have too much going on. It's got relaxed patio vibe that I just love. Haven't even gotten to the beers yet. The sours are fantastic. The IPAs are also fantastic. I drink a lot of beer and have enjoyed just about everything I've tasted from this place. It's almost become a weekend tradition for us to come here. Rob makes an excellent product and has a phenomenal staff. Love this place. I highly recommend coming here. I know this review should be about the beer, but I just wanted to take a moment to say that I love the farm house look of this place! BF and I swung by on our drive back to Los Angeles from up north, and we were only able to try two of their beers. They were nice enough to let us have a few tasters, and we ended up taking two growlers togo. Not many breweries achieve the juicy dank taste in their hazy IPAs, but MachineHead Brewing done did it! read more

Valley has some nice breweries popping up and machinehead is another one. The location is in an industrial area like most in the valley. It's aotrle smaller than say crow and wolf but the layout works and the outside seating area is really nice. The owners have put up lights outside and the picnic tables are a nice touch. They have food trucks on a lot of the days as well. But its hard to know when and who without calling. They could use some better advertising for new beers and who's going to be there. They're family and pet friendly as well which is a plus. So why the low score. I didn't want to give them this score because the place is really cool. But we went for the beer which was just OK. To be fair we oy tried three of the offerings. And that's because they don't offer flights of beers there. No problem, right!? I'll just ask for a tiny tiny bit to see if I like the taste. The man behind the bar said they offer a taste test on certain beers. He seemed annoyed that I'd even ask. But if you're expecting folks to spend $7 or $8 on a beer, it would be nice if it was one they knew they liked. We agreed one of the sours was really good and went with that one during our visit. We didn't want to ask to try another one after our first encounter. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, who knows. Needless to say we chose to just head out after finishing our drinks. Nice place to drink sour beer. It's a farm/industrial building with open air seating patio and a brewery indoor. Looked like it was being run by one man alone. Plenty of spaces, outside and inside! The menu was plentiful of beverages and has variety of types beside sour beer, like IPA, ale, and stouts. There are variety of sizes too, but I don't remember. Regardless, their drinks was impressive. And when turning in for the night, don't forget to close your tab. If there's anything I think would improve this brewery, it would need to have a small plate menu. Luckily, I was there after I had eaten a meal. If they had a small plate menu, I definitely pay and try it. However, that's only something I would only suggest as it is not my business. I am only a patron. This place is already great as it is. I do recommend it! Give it a try and drink responsibly. Parking may be difficult, but worth the try. read more

One of the most incredible micro breweries I have ever visited. First class service for one, first class beer for two, and first class pizza offered outside of this establishment. That is a combination that most businesses dream of having but yet lack one of the 3 elements. The servers absolutely know their beer product. You can sample a couple to get your palate on the right track of your liking. I had the "flying high" beer and was simply blown away of the taste. I even took one home. They offer sealed beers to go. Now for the pizza. It's a great husband and wife and family operation. Great wood fire pizza!!!. Probably the best there is in The Valley hands down. You must get there early because they run out of their limited stock which in my opinion makes it exclusive. I had the Vito pizza and it was amazing. So have that amazing wood fire pizza , pair it with a cold brew and enjoy your date night or family night sitting by a fire pit outside! Just an amazing establishment.
