This is another fantastic family owned small business in Old town. I came to know of them during the March of Dimes signature chef's event a few weeks ago and I thought I would look up their store. I did give them a piece of advice that they seem to take very well. I mentioned that I have driven by their location a dozen times and had no idea what "559 local" was and I suggested the implication of a brewery in its name. They took that well and it appeared on their menu and walkway signage as "559 beer". I was greeted right away they do remember me from the event. It was wonderful to see a family picture on the wall as well as to hear about their great selections. I highly recommend just doing their sample tasting of 8 beers as seen in my picture. Not all are to my liking but I appreciate that they are trying to stand out from the other breweries locally. I also really like that they post the ABV (alcohol by volume) as well as the IBU (international bitterring units) so you can decide based on you palate, hop level etc. My favs were the Fig garden stout - dark smooth with black mission figs from Fresno and Chevy BelAir ale with cascade hops. They have a small outdoor area as well as a very nice window area to sit around in a larger group Lastly I was excited to hear that they just teamed up with another great business in Old town, Kuppa Joy to release a dark beer based on their coffee beans.

I was walking in downtown Clovis and saw this place open. You could buy a beer and any food, take it out or stay at the patio and drink a beer. It was a relief. While all restaurants are open for take outs only this place actually lets you drink and eat. No crowd is allowed. All spaces are marked so it's very safe. There are only about 6-7 spaces are available on the patio which are distanced according to safety rules. We enjoyed our food. It was pretty good. The only complain is the lack of my favorite beers. Wheat ales, Belgium style ales. I wish they have more beer choices.

Love me some Old Town Clovis and wanted to try a new spot. My husband and I decided upon 559 Beer. We both love businesses that keep that rustic and/or historic feel. When we were seated by "Sparkle" our waitress, we noticed that the interior looked like a true old west tavern. My husband said it reminded him of some scenes in RDR(for all you gamers out there). The service here is good and "Sparkle" is hilarious. I ordered the chicken salad which is shown in the picture and keeping true to old west form, my plate was chipped. My hubby ordered the chicken tacos. He said they were really good. My only issue with my salad was the lack luster ranch. The chicken was good though and so were the greens. I also ordered the Adelaida Cab and it was delightfully smooth. A live duo performed some older and newer songs while everyone was eating. They were really good and made for a nice surprise to our "old west" adventure. Cheers to you 559 Beer!

Had a wonderful first time experience with my fiancé and in-laws here a few weekends ago! He was just opening the place for that day when we walked in and we were greeted with a friendly hello! The place is so cute, clean and fun looking! We sat at the bar speaking with one of the owners Rhett and he gave us the back story on 559 Brews and it was really cool to hear about! They have beer flight options that are really cool but we just did individual tastings instead. The strawberry ale was probably my favorite, we even bought a growler of it to take home! Experience was definitely one we all will remember from my in-laws trip and my fiancé and I will be back on our own as they have a small snack/munchie menu we want to try next time!

Met a friend here for a afternoon refreshment, I ordered an amber ale, he ordered a pale ale, both looks terrific! A small place which appeals to me (very Ireland like) comfortable and personable. Not as noisy as the BIG places that beers sales normally attract, that in itself is worth a visit. There is out side seating if you like, and being Old Town Clovis everyone is very nice. Enjoy.

The beer is the obvious starting point. They brew their own and the variety is legit. I'm not even a huge IPA person but I tried one here and it was good enough to finish. The staff actually knows the menu and can walk you through whats on tap without making you feel dumb for asking. The space is great too. Industrial but warm, good energy, not too loud to have an actual conversation. It fills up but doesn't feel chaotic. Its in Clovis which from Fresno is nothing, like a 10 minute drive. Totally worth it for a Friday night out or even just a low key weekday hang. Prices are reasonable for a brewery. Nothing here feels overpriced. Just a really solid spot. Go with friends.

I like how the location is tucked away and not on the main strip of Herndon, I like the amount of outdoor seating, the misters on the north side which helped a lot because there's plenty of shade on the East but the sun will beat on you around the other side. Only downside was there were no outside TV's, they did bring one from inside but with the sun it was hard to have an angle that allowed everybody to watch. The beers were great, I wish I could recall what I had but the only one I recall was taboo 50/50. EXCELLENT. The staff was friendly, helpful, and inviting. The place was packed, most there for the USMNT's World Cup opener and I feel like they handled the crowd well. Only reason I don't give this place a more favorable review is the food options and the restroom situation, the mobile lavatories and the food trucks were a real bummer, this is a big location and it feels like they could've fit a kitchen in there somewhere. I'm a bit of a prude though I don't care for food trucks but theres nothing else being offered no chips, no nuts, no small eats. I did see a party inside with little Caesar's and stuff but idk if that's allowed for everybody or just a group party offering. But the mobile restrooms were nasty, humid, dirty, and just felt like a bad option for the area, the steps and the people stumbling out of them idk. Aside from those two things it was a cool spot.

I ended up at Summer Park's Brewing today by accident, and I'm really glad I gave it another shot…read more My first visit here was about three years ago on a busy Friday night, and it left a bad impression. I was standing in line, second or third, when another employee opened a register and pulled someone from behind me just because they were a regular. That didn't sit right with me, and it honestly kept me from coming back for a long time. That said, even back then, I tried a few flights and remember the beers being solid across the board. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either, just consistently middle-of-the-road. Fast forward to today, and it feels like a completely different place. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by George, who was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, he took the time to answer questions, explain the brewery's history, and make thoughtful recommendations. He suggested the chips and dip, which I highly recommend, simple but really well done. I ended up going through three flights this time: a dark/malty flight, a hazy flight, and a sour flight. The sour lineup was fantastic across the board. That said, the standout of the entire visit was the dark Kölsch. It was exceptional and easily the best beer I had. Even the red ale, which I normally don't enjoy, was surprisingly solid. Overall, everything I tried was at least a 5/10 or better. Nothing here dips below average, and several options are genuinely impressive. For context, I tend to grade beer pretty harshly. I've tried a wide range of beers and actively seek out harder-to-find options, so if I'm calling something "middle of the road," most people will probably find it better than that. This lineup will land well for the average beer drinker. The atmosphere has also improved significantly. They've added more seating, expanded into a second room with pinball machines, and the music has been consistently great the entire time I've been here. The front room has four TVs, with one dedicated to the menu and three playing sports, which adds to the relaxed, social vibe. The space is clean, well-maintained, and easy to enjoy whether you're with friends or on a casual date. Parking is decent, around 20-25 spots, and wasn't an issue. What really stands out is how much this place has improved overall. If you had blindfolded me and brought me here today, I wouldn't believe it was the same place I visited three years ago. I'm still not thrilled about how that first visit went, but credit where it's due, this place has made a major turnaround. Between the service, the atmosphere, and the quality of the beer, especially that dark Kölsch, I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be back.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The shrimp scampi was well-seasoned and flavorful, paired with risotto that was slightly undercooked but not enough to take away from the dish overall. Our server, Jen, was also acting as host and bartender, and she handled it all impressively as the restaurant started to fill up. Even while understaffed, she kept everything running smoothly until additional staff arrived. Overall, it was a great experience
