I would give it 5 stars but I have to keep 2 due to the lack of staff. We went on a Saturday and yes I understand it's the weekend, but we did get there before opening and there was 2 groups of ladies before us. We walked in and all together there were about 15 already by opening at 1pm. It took awhile before we even got our drinks let alone our food. She did bring all of the tables water but the 2 groups before us had way better service and more attention. We did order food and it all came out separately, 2 of us ate without the 3rd because they forgot to make my mom's sandwich. We've been wanting to try this place for a while and thought we'd stop by since we went to the flower market event. I loved the sandwich, we all did actually. The wine options I chose were also delicious. I like the vibe and the ambiance the place has I just wish they had reservations for bigger groups like that to accommodate small tables and especially those whom never been there before. I walked into a piece of heaven . This place is so cozy. As soon as you walk in you are welcome by a smile, the view of amazing wines and cute funny merchandise. This review is for the Armenian Winter Wonderland Christmas party event which my husband and I attended 2 nights ago. My husband rated the event 2 stars. I'm giving it a 3-star rating because of the wonderful ambiance in the Speakeasy bar and the yummy cocktails (not included in the price). The $65/person is said to include 'wine, brandy, a spread of feasts'. This was our experience: The food was far from a 'spread of feasts'. There was one entree (rice, grilled chicken with onions and bell peppers), a charcuterie board, dip and crackers, bread, super thin flatbread, stuffed grape leaves, and what looked like baklava. The price included wine tasting which totaled maybe 2-3 oz per person. We don't recall seeing any brandy. We enjoyed our 'feast' in the Speakeasy bar, which is located behind the Diccicos kitchen. It was decent- a bit bland to my taste. Oh and the price comes with free live entertainment consisted of a solo singer. She has a beautiful voice. We love going to these type of events. Before COVID we used to frequent wine tasting at Sam's Deli. The price was $35/person. We experienced an abundance of tasty Italian food freshly prepared in Sam's kitchen and also an abundance of wine. All for $35. We understand that times have changed and price everywhere has gone way up. However, we didn't feel the Armenian Wonderland is worth $65/person. read more

What can I say? We stumbled into this cute and cozy place by chance and decided to give it a shot. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their wine and food. The food itself is delicious and quite a variety of wine selections. We got a burrata, prosciutto, and fennel salad charcuterie board. The burrata was so creamy and fresh. It reminded me of a much creamer version of Mexican queso fresco. The prosciutto was soooo delicious and rich. And the fennel salad had some lime and garlic with pepper which was so refreshing to cut through the fattiness of the cheese and meat. You get to pick four wines for about $30, great deal and a great way to try new wines. Would definitely recommend the charcuterie board, perfect to snack on while you're tasting and visiting. Why are we not talking about this place?? Went here with friends and had a BLAST. Loved the decor and chairs on the inside. They have a large selection of wines + small charcuterie themed gifts and trinkets. I was afraid it would be stuffy, but it was so fun. The workers were amazing. They listened to what we liked, and created the perfected board for us to try new things. Everything on the board we enjoyed. They were so fun and even when we got a little loud and giggly (wine flights are dangerous!) they were all for it. We got a board plus some flights, but can also order by the glass. My friends and I stopped in here a while back and we had a great experience! Our server was super sweet and accommodating, she also did a great job in recommending us wines based on our preferences. We tried the prosciutto/burrata board and the meat/cheese board which were both great to snack on with the wine. We ordered the Italian sandwich, avocado toast and a charcuterie board, everything was so amazing! The sandwich is served hot and pressed and it came with the most amazing tasting truffle potato chips! The avocado toast was served with smoked salmon and micro greens, very delightful. I was very excited to have a wine and charcuterie option in Clovis and think this place has potential, however, they need to change up a few things in order for it to work. The overall look of the space is pleasant enough but it just doesn't make sense for what it is. If it was to primarily be a take out spot to pick up good charcuterie options, the interior would be fitting. But it appears as though there is an intention for this to also be a wine bar and the high top tables and uncomfortable metal chairs do nothing to encourage patrons to sip and nibble at a leisurely pace. And let's talk lighting... the walls are white and the lights are bright so it feels like a bright sunny kitchen versus a romantic date vibe. Now for the offerings. I was disappointed by the by limited by the glass options. I was really hoping for some sort of tasting flight, but instead there were only 7 wines offered by the glass and none of them particularly interesting. The small menu of food offerings was severely lacking. There was a big list of meats and cheeses on a large chalkboard which was obstructed by a table with guests sitting at it. And the menu did not include any sort of description. My husband and I ordered a 3 cheese board and opted to add one meat (I requested one that had a little bit of spice to it). The three cheeses were advertised to be one sheep, one cow, and one goat. I was extremely disappointed by the cheeses I received. They were all hard cheeses with barely any noticeable difference between them. Goat cheeses are my favorites and the one we got had no flavor. The overall compilation of the board was well balanced and superior to any other I've had (other then Trelio) in the local area. BUT... the cheese is the star of a cheese board and for that reason it was a big let down. We also ordered a bottle of wine (but didn't finish it bc it was meh), a glass of sparkling rose (which I really enjoyed), and another bottle of wine (which we each had a glass of- hate that I had to buy the whole bottle)- that I knew I liked. This could be a 5 Star place if they do the following: -get more comfortable seating -dim the lights (or have an area with dimmer lights to set the mood for a date) -have a list of meats and cheeses with descriptions available somewhere other than on a wall that is obstructed by seating -when offering 3 cheeses on a board, have one be soft, one be medium, and one be firm -offer more pre set boards -expand the wine by the glass as well as the bottle option.
