Went when they were having a Raider game it was very busy I get it I use to work in a bar scene, the waitress was very fast when we first got there then after everyone started coming she never came back to our table, she forgot to put our friends food order in and they had kids she finally realized like an hour later and finally brought the food. The person who put on the event kept apologizing and saying their doing the best they can which I get but they just need more structure, like not ALL waitress should be bartending have some on the floor and some in the bar. man i really hate going to this place. so do others that i know but it's the musicians that make me endure the mess that this place is known for. first off,rude rude rude rude employees. i mean. i can't even get a cup of ice unless i pay their full price. $3 just for water. the service there is horrible. the prices are so high and the portions are so small. Great food! The best homemade Mexican food, especially the albondigas! So good, just like my mom made it. Val gives friendly, personable service and aims to make the customer satisfied. This was evident when a friend sent her drink back twice. Val was gracious to make sure my friend got the drinks she enjoyed. Happy hour appetizers are plentiful and flavorful. I've been there before but I haven't been there in quite a while because I have other places that I frequent for various reasons the people the bartender the food etc. but I stopped back in here after going to the library nearby and had a chat with the bar girl sorry I forgot your name I apologize very nice and accommodating went and got me chips and salsa I wasn't going to eat just to have a beer stop by to say hello hadn't been there a while ended up getting a taco and it's a different kind of a tacos I've ever had before but it was tasty and I hope you get some live entertainment the last time I was there there was a band and there was a lot of people so good luck on your future business and you're just about a mile away from my house so I'll be by again another time read more

The only thing you'll be "locked" into here is mediocre, overpriced food. First time there, won't be back. I ordered the molcajete mixto, which is supposed to be a mix of chicken, steak and shrimp. What I received was this tiny bowl with two paltry strips of chicken, two thin slices of steak and some green salsa. No shrimp, no cheese, and hardly any veggies with the exception of a slice of jalapeño and some sad-looking green onion draped over the side. And that was $30. The salsa was more like marinara sauce. And we're in the middle of winter -- it was cold as heck in there. Nice waitress, but we had no table settings. When the waitress did bring the table setting, she put them on the bare tabletop -- no napkin underneath, which is a pretty big presentation no no. On the plus side, they do have nice big TV screens, if you want to order some brews and have a bro hang. But the food? Not happening. read more

Tried Locked in for the first time. Came in around 7pm and was immediately seated. There was a live band playing some good hits. My table tried: bacon wrapped shrimp plate (beans & rice), volcano taco, shrimp & fish tacos, asada fries and dessert nachos. For drinks we had a michelada and mai tais. The waitress was wonderful with clearing plates and keeping drinks filled. My favorite was the volcano taco. The bacon wrapped shrimp is not what I was use to due to their size. Went in on a Monday night with some friends for MNF. Place was pretty dead save for 4-5 people at the bar (one who "approved" my entry because I was wearing a 49ers hat. Ha!). Service was lacking a bit. One person working the bar and the tables, but she was nice. Beers were decent. Food was just ok. Ordered carne asada nachos which quickly became soggy because of the mixture of the beans and salsa. Also got a carne asada burrito which was ok. Don't think the meat was very fresh. The place doesn't look a lot different from the previous restaurant. They did have a nice TV display on the back wall that they put the game on, but half of the TVs were turned off. It looked like they had equipment for live music (which I've seen on their IG) tucked away in the empty spaces in the corner. The TouchTunes Jukebox was pretty loud and kind of taking away from the experience of watching the game. It's hard to tell if they're trying to be a sports bar (which the name suggests) or a Mexican restaurant, or a live music venue. I've only been once (and might be willing to try again) but it wouldn't be my first choice for watching sports and food. read more

I was so excited to hear that the old fat boys was opening back up but was disappointed by the service and food. The staff were sweet and helpful but took forever to take orders and weren't to sure how to make certain drinks. The food took over 45 minutes to come to the table, being fresh is one thing but all that was ordered was a quesadilla no meat & a chimichanga it took quite a while, with only 5 people in the whole place. I decided to try this place since I am a pescatarian and they have lots of seafood and vegan options on the menu. I ordered the beyond beef tacos and a mexican cola but they did not have either of these items available. So I asked about the difference of the two seperate listings for fish tacos on their menu: one was a la cart, a fish taco for $6.99. The other was a plate listed as "fish tacos" for $9.99. The waitress had no idea and just reread the descriptions to me. I asked her how many tacos came with the plate for $9.99. She told me one taco. I asked her why it said tacos (plural) then and she said she didnt know. I told her I wanted two of the a la cart tacos then. She brought my tacos and they were quite delicious but she turned the music on very loudly during my meal. Another customer had to ask for it to be turned down. When she brought my bill I had a charge for $19.98. I told her I was overcharged for my two tacos and she said I wasnt because I ordered two of the tacos at $9.99 each. I told her no I didnt and that I had specifically pointed at the menu at which tacos I wanted. She refused to adjust my bill or accept her error. I asked to speak to the manager who wasnt there so I paid and left her no tip. I will never be returning to this restaurant again. I've updated my review from one star to three stars since the owner gave me a taco to set the discrepancy right. Oh my that was very delicious! Definitely one of the best tasting tacos in town. Food was fine. Service was probably the worst I've ever had. It was only our table of four and three other gentleman at the bar. Server didn't write anything down and got 2 out of the four orders wrong. Had to go up to the bar to ask for refills, and when we she said she would be right there, she was heading for our table, but then made a right and went and sat down next to a gentleman at the bar to give him a hug and chat for a minute. The sports bar theme was fine, really no change to the layout from when it was Fat Boys. The bar service and food definitely needs improvement. The bartender was not knowledgeable about her drinks or liquors, but she made a pretty good michelada so I'll give her credit for that. The food was honestly disappointing. My fried fish was over fried, the yellow corn tortillas looked old, my friend's fajita plate had the driest chicken which was actually burnt and the whole thing (main dish, rice, beans) lacked flavor. Also, we had to ask for the guacamole that the menu stated came with the fajitas plate, but we were told that it actually doesn't come with it and we didn't feel like arguing about it so we left it alone.
