If BevMo wasn't so far from my house... I would spend all my money there. I was craving the Summer Shandy beer and couldn't find it anywhere. When my hubby told me he was going to BevMo... I jumped in the truck and was super excited to go! We were also looking for Joaquin Murrieta jalapeño beer... I got my shandys but we couldn't find his beer because they were sold out... Bought a bottle of vodka & remarked that it was much $$$ than one I had recently bought. They said that the prices sometimes just increase that much. Before I left the parking lot I checked the price at Total Wine. Then asked BevMo if the price matched - they did. But they should have given me the Total Wine price in the first place & not given me some BS about the price increase. It's probably been a year since & will I ever go to BevMo again NEVER. They were better stocked this time than the last time I went, so that's good. I went New Year's Eve and the older man working the register made my experience less than positive. He spent several minutes ringing the person up in front of me, shooting the poop, talking about sports, even after the transaction was done. He just stood there and they just chatted with two people in line. He cussed quite a bit while ringing me up, referring to different alcohols i was purchasing with various colorful normally bleeped out descriptions. He struggled with the register, other employees walked by and would not help him or open up another register. Maybe have him stock the shelves and have someone more customer service orientated at the register? read more

I came to this BevMo in 2018 with my sisters (during this time my phone was robbed from me so there are no photos for this location.) we came in to get alcohol for our upcoming Sisters Vegas trip. We got bottles of wine and liquor. The stars was very friendly and the location was very small compared to other BevMo I've been too. The store back then was very organized and clean. I was not in long but they have various of options to choose from. I've never walked out empty handed as there's always something for everyone! I usually go to the location in Clovis as it is Close to me. Overall make sure to sign up for their rewards program. read more

Very poor services. They will say anything for a sale(Total wine has better prices). I found out the hard way. Two gift sets of alcohol at $72.63 at Bev-Mo. Total wine had same gift set, but for three it was $94. About $22 for that third set, when a regular bottle alone is $29 or more at both places. Plus Total wine offered free delivery. Nice greeting upon entry, friendly service! Found what we came in for and then some! I had never seen any Bevmo with a 60% off cart! Scored some very nice bottles of wine from it. Restrooms available for customers which is nice. Store is large, clean and laid out in an interesting way. It can be overwhelming walking in and seeing just bottles upon bottles. I hadn't shopped at BevMo for awhile until this week - I started going to Total Wine when it opened because they tended to have a bigger selection and it just became default. I've been craving a gin martini this week and didn't have any good gin in the house. I checked the Total Wine website to make an order but they didn't have either of the ones I wanted in stock. So I tried BevMo and they came through. This particular location had been closed last time I checked (due to COVID) but it's open to orders and browsing now (as of time of writing, 8/21). They had both gins in stock - Tanqueray Ten and Death's Door - as well as half-bottles of Noilly Prat vermouth and a nice brand of martini olives. Everything I was looking for, and the Ten was on sale. They also had the wine I like (Kali Hart) and 24-packs of Modelo, which have been hard to come by lately, so I figured I might as well stock up and ordered delivery, which is $9.99. (Also found a coupon for $10 with a browser extension which offset it nicely!) I think I ordered around 2pm and the next available slot was at 5-6pm. The delivery driver arrived early in the slot, around 5.10. He was friendly and offered to put everything inside on the landing for me. The next day I went to unbox and realized they'd given me a bottle of Tanqueray instead of Tanqueray Ten. I called the store and was put on with the manager, Gracie, right away. She asked if I could come in to swap them out. When I popped by later the same day I told the cashier and Gracie came out to greet me. She'd already put out a bottle of Ten at the collection point for me and was very apologetic for the error. It was quick and painless to get it solved and they were very nice about it. Great customer service. I didn't venture into the store since I was carrying stock but they have social distancing markers and a sanitizing station near the door. Everyone inside was wearing a mask. On a different note, yesterday we were searching for an empty divided box to transport 6 fancy caramel apples to Texas (for a birthday surprise). 3 people tried to help & search for a suitable size. Great selection at great prices in an easy to navigate shopping center...what could be better? BevMo is a great place to find gifts for friends as well as gifts for self! I got my favorite freezer wine cups from another BevMo location and use them quite frequently! You can place orders online and have them deliver or pick up your order curbside at the store. They have a lot of hard to find items including one of my favorites, Bundaberg Guava soda! I had these in Australia and have only ever seen them at World Market outside of BevMo in the US. They also stock a really good selection of craft beers from around the country and frequently send coupons in the mail. read more

Ok let me start by saying I wanted to absolutely love this place. I like making mixed drinks for people, it's what I enjoy doing the most, so I tend to buy large quantities of items however sometimes there is problems involved so it was an error in purchase. I was not informed either that all sales are final or told that the law says such as. I've never ever ever returned a alcohol product before until now, I've never needed to. Now here's where things start to get really strange. I talked to customer service I found their number through a quick google search and asked what their return policy is and they stated " most returns have a 30 day return policy, some items have 7, if I'm ever dissatisfied with my purchase I can always make a return on any item sold by BevMo " I said ok thank you, I will be returning to the location within the next day to make my return since I'm Still within the 7 day gap. I went along and tried to return 5 bottles of alcohol which were purchased in error. Of course I was told by the cashier they don't do returns, I said I have the receipt and the bottles are unopened and untampered with, she then proceeds to call a manager and he helped me at a different register. I wait on the manager and he's helped me before in the past on my last visit when I purchased these bottles. I explained to him the situation, he said he can't return alcohol. I told him that's not what the customer service rep said, they said if I was dissatisfied with my purchase I can return it, it also states it at the bottom of the receipt, and on their online store website. Clearly stating "all BevMo products" so in the back of my mind I'm thinking there's no way he can't accept the return, I'm following their company policy, if they couldn't make the returns they need to state it plain as day. Of course I was firm on getting my refund the manager luckily was nice enough to approve a refund he said only this time he will accept the refund. He wrote down my ID number, which I'm sure will be kept on file now at that location as someone who's made a return, he told me what he did was illegal. I apologized to him but this is not stated anywhere in their policy. I looked around a bit before leaving then he came back to talk to me saying if he was the one who helped me during my last visit. I replied yes he was, he stated that he could have sworn he told me there were no refunds. I told him no, he didn't. My fiancé was with me at the time, she also told me that he never said such a thing. He insisted he did but to each their own I suppose. So long story short my refund was indeed approved however what I wanna know is why? Why are they firm on not approving refunds and then say it's against the law. Even most people I know who sell alcohol have never heard of this law. I've asked around and no ones heard of it. I looked it up and found there is a law, but it's a yes and no law. It states that I cannot make the return of alcohol opened or closed etc. unless the item was purchased in error or contaminated. Ok so I wasn't wrong then as the items were technically purchased in error. However if there is such a law that basically says screw the customer they get what they pay for then why did the system allow the refund. Shouldn't it have locked them out of the system entirely preventing him from issuing a refund to begin with? It should have denied it no matter what if they really cannot accept refunds. I will be holding onto my refund receipt just in case but if they try to get me in trouble I'm the end I'll have proof that the refund was approved by a manager meaning I'm not the only party involved in this exchange, others will be involved as well. But I have lawyers, so if anything happens I'll fight back with a solid case. Hopefully it doesn't escalate to such a thing and we just go about our lives as normal and they just forget the return, but in any case I don't think I'll be coming back again after this experience, it's not worth the hassle and Probably dirty looks from workers etc who may even refuse to help me entirely. Some people are petty and hold grudges over literally nothing. In any case if this place didn't sell blue curacao I wouldn't have even heard of this place or came her at all. It's mainly the only reason I stepped foot in this establishment. But never again, not after this. I hope they read these reviews so they know what's happened and my thoughts on it as well. So remember if the law was broken we were both involved and it was approved by management so if this escalates beyond us then be ready with lawyers on standby. read more

I used to do business here, and would like to shop here on occasion. However, they have a store policy of swiping your ID through a machine, even if you are clearly of legal age. They claim that they do this to anyone who looks under 50, which is probably true. They also claim that the machine only verifies the ID and is not hooked up to anything but a power source. While that may also be true, the machine DOES have the capability to store thousands of swipes in memory, for later batch downloading. I find this policy unacceptable, insulting, and a sneaky way to build a database of information that is much more invasive than what is needed to legally complete the transaction. The employees are often jerks about it, and I refuse to do business with a company that has so little respect for their customers. read more

I apologize in advance for the length of this review. I did try to cut out a lot of text to make it more readable. We regularly shop at Beverages and More because of their inventory, but my experience this morning will definitely curb that. I mistakenly purchased four bottles of Barefoot Spumante for an out of town trip thinking they were Barefoot Brut Sparkling Wine. I don't think it was completely extraordinary that I confused the two bottles, as these are the only two Barefoot sparkling wine bottles with silver labels. After returning to Fresno, I showed up to exchange these items on the eighth day after purchase, but the manager informed me that I was allowed only seven days to conduct the return. They evidently counted the day of purchase as the first day. When I showed the manager that the labels were similar and that I just wanted to exchange them, she was not swayed. She told me that I could not exchange the wine and further, that it was against the law to do so! After I told her that I previously worked in a liquor store and never heard of such a thing, she told me it was a new law and that they were regularly audited by ABC for compliance. That was fairly insulting to my intelligence for any number of reasons, but mostly because she wanted me to believe that each individual bottle in their store was uniquely identified and recorded by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control department. Just the cost to monitor each individual bottle at every store that sold beer and wine in California would be so monumental as to be inconceivable. I noticed that the receipt did have some language about a seven day return, but the conditions listed on the receipt that fall under that seven day return do not include the purchase of a mistaken item. My experience would've ended slightly better if she had simply told me that when they make a sale, they want to keep that sale. I wouldn't have liked it but it would have been significantly more honest. read more

Really disappointed.....Went to return the two cases of Mondavi that I purchased for my friend last week for her wedding, they didn't end up needing it. I confirmed when I purchased that I could return it. Today when I went in to do so, they asked for my debit card (how I paid, i.e. cash), and when I inquired about the return, I was told it would be credit, which is wait a few days for your money back. NOT OK. In fact, I think it should be illegal, and maybe it is. If mode of payment is mode of payment....then it should have been immediately credited to my card as a debit, or they should have given me cash. I will not return to this store. read more

I usually don't feel inclined to write reviews but my latest trip to bevmo has left me bit a bad taste in my mouth. I went their with a birthday gift that I wanted to exchange for something else. The package was unopened and in the bag and everything. The manager was less than excited to help me and very short in her speach. We were going to dinner and just wanted to grab a gift card with the credit on it so we could go to dinner, then come back and use the money. This was not possible and no explanation was given. I leave with the product, come back an hour later, I locate some items I want which are poorly labeled, with about 25% of the items not having a description/price tag on them. Also there were several beers that are better fresh, that had expired dates on them and the usual dust too which is not a good sign. I finally find some things I want, walk to the front counter and call the still less than excited manager up to handle the transaction. One beer rings up at $8, and I was a little surprised, you know since I didn't know the price because there are not tags and wasn't expecting it to be that much. When I ask her to remove this one from the list because I didn't know it was that much, she also crapped her pants. Anyways, I don't see myself shopping here again. The selection was mediocre at best anyways, it is not worth my time if I have to deal with people like that. read more

I like the concept of Beverages & More, but this particular location is sub-par. Allow me to explain... my last visit here was a few days before New Year's Eve. The shelves were barren in places; they were understocked before one of the top 3 alcohol-related holidays of the year. They were out of many of the advertised Club-Bev wines. There's no excuse for this. The store is designed to be one-stop shopping for parties. It's not like everyone bought wine and spirits for each other's Christmas presents. Are they going to be out of chips before the Superbowl? So I use a gift card to pay for my purchase, and the clerk can't ring up the items correctly. He and the store manager would later be engaged in shady dealings with gift cards and returns and overcharges that I'm nearly certain didn't put me out of pocket, but certainly took a lot of needless time and effort. There's never a reason to force a customer to accept an overcharge because they "promise" the refund at another register will make things even. It's too easy to shortchange the customer that way. In a down economy, businesses should be looking out for their customers. This BevMo doesn't (at least this branch doesn't). Someone in charge needs to come through here, ride herd, and cull the clerks and managers who don't understand how to stock a store or service customers. Otherwise, I predict yet another big block vacancy on Blackstone Avenue. read more

I used to have a pretty good opinion of this place, sure its a chain but for a long time it was the best place in town to buy a variety of beer. Even as of recently I shopped here frequently, but after my most recent experience I don't think I will be. We went in 3 weeks a go and ordered a case of champagne for our wedding, the guy who took our order said it shouldn't take too long and would call us when it came in. After 3 weeks had gone by we stopped in at the store and inquired when our order was going to be in, our wedding is in a week. He sort of mumbled something and just walked to the back room, he then came back with our order sheet. (Why it was in the back room and not in the cubicle where they do orders at I don't know.) He said our order hadn't come in yet, which was odd considering there were 2 cases of the exact same product someone else had ordered sitting right next to the order desk. Why did two cases of the exact same product come in but not ours? He said he would call the warehouse and call us back that day, that call however never came. Now 5 days later I call to inquire about my order. The guy who took our order of course wasn't there, two separate people tried to assist me but could not find my order or even my order sheet. For whatever reason the original guy who took our order keeps putting our order sheet where it isn't supposed to go, I can only assume he put it somewhere in the back like he did this past weekend. I don't know how long it takes to get in a case of champagne, its absolutely ridiculous. I know that their warehouse is in California, even if they sent it the slowest ground method it would get here in a week, 3 weeks is absurd. Even worse is the lack of communication and the Laissez-faire attitude I got when I stopped in this weekend. "Do you ABSOLUTELY need this order today?" No asshole, I need it inside of another week, you know just like it says on the piece of paper that you are hiding somewhere in your store. read more

Bev Mo' is a real mixed bag. On the one had their selections of wines, spirits, and beer is impressive. The store is clean and bright, they've got some nice displays, and the isles are wide enough to maneuver your cart without crashing into other shoppers, the shelves, or both. However... I've had staff be unable to make a decent recommendations vis-a-vis their beers and spirits. I had one employee tell me he'd never tasted any of their beers, which is kind of like a car salesman tell you he'd never driven any of the cars he's flogging. And all-too-frequently you can't get at what's on offer because the shelves are blocked by heavy boxes of booze. Which, from a business perspective is really weird. why would you prevent folks from getting at what they want to buy? Why would you risk a personal injury lawsuit by forcing customers to move heavy boxes if they want to make a purchase? Last night was a perfect example of this. After getting our taxes done, the man and I wanted to celebrate with some Irish coffee. So, off we went to Bev Mo' for some Baileys. The Baileys was completely cut off from us by a five-foot high stack of full boxes. We asked someone to move them for us, and then waited in vain for 10 minutes. We finally ended up buying a much cheaper Irish cream, which cost Bev Mo' about $15 in sales. Oh well - their loss I guess. I'll stick to Old Docs (and Duty Free) for most of my booze buys and patronize Bev Mo' only if I'm on that part of town. read more

BevMo! - Getting the weekend started - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Fresno, California

This particular bevmo has some great perks. First of all there is plenty of parking because It's in a big shopping center. Second, it's has tons of great snacks, novelty drinks and drink wear that is so fun to explore! Third, the staff is very knowledgeable about all the different products in the store. They really know their stuff! I know nothing about wine except that I like it sweet. I spoke to a guy there who graduated from fresno state with a degree in agriculture and spent time traveling wine country and other wineries in california. I'm like "what are you doing here?!" Lol, he was a big help and directed me to a beautiful bottle of my favorite wine of all time "Electra, red" then we head over to the beers for my husband and sought out the help of another well informed employee. This is a place you can trust to find what you're looking for and know there is someone to guide you. Store is clean, prices are decent and it's well stocked. read more
